Abstract

The article offers a study on the demographic and behavioral correlates of condom use among sexually active, condom-using women in the U.S. Using the data from Contraceptive CHOICE Project, it says that inconsistent condom use was associated with reporting 10 or more sex acts in the past 30 days, younger age at first intercourse, and partner's less willingness to use condoms. It adds that incorrect condom use relates with greater perceived risk for future infections and inconsistent condom use.
