This research explores the curriculum of various psychology programs offered in different universities across Pakistan for inclusion of Islamic content in the curriculum. The curriculum management authorities, like Deans, Directors, Head of Psychology Departments and Program Incharges were asked about the inclusion of Islamic studies and guidelines in the psychology courses taught at public and private sector universities in Pakistan. The qualitative analysis is suggesting that out of a sample of 24 universities, only 33% had courses on Islamic psychology and 67% did not offer any course or module on Islamic or Muslim psychology. The findings also include that 29% of the course content is focused on history of Muslim psychology and famous Arab scholars and is offered in undergraduate programs. The implications are first to explore and report existing Islamic content in Psychology programs. Second to promote the significance of inclusion of content related to Islamic psychology, Islamic and religious based t erapies and trainings based on Quran and Sunnah in the curriculum. This research is an endeavor to highlight how the curriculum of various university programs are far behind and lacking in recent innovations in religion-based techniques of therapy, treatment and counseling based on Islamic principles. This paper aims to highlight the importance of most imperative and serious concern of intellectual property rights in academic world of Pakistan. This paper is highlights the status of intellectual property rights in context of constitution of Pakistan. It's also investigated the awareness of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among faculty in the universities. This paper has investigated the Need of Intellectual Property Rights in Education of Pakistan: Review of Constitution, Current status and Expectations. The major focus of the study is to examine the constitution of Pakistan and investigate the perspective of university faculty regarding IPR. It was descriptive research and content analysis method is used. This qualitative research reviews the constitution of Pakistan and highlights the codes of intellectual property rights. Furthermore the data was collected with informal interview from faculty of federal universities. After the review it was found that awareness is much needed to improve framework on Intellectual Property Protection. Especially IPR condition and work with law and HEC is needed for better identification, planning, commercialization, representation, for protection of invention or creativity. As a Muslim I want to quoted, the moral basis for protection of Intellectual Property finds its mention in the Holy Quran: "Do not usurp one another's property by unjust means, nor bribe with it the judges in order that you may knowingly and wrongfully deprive others of a part of their possessions". Any social system of a people is developed around the theories that the nation has evolved or generated in that particular context. The theories themselves are deeply rooted in the ideology of that group of people and the very root is their belief or assumptions of what a human is, what are his life objectives and the main objectives of the existence of that nation or people. As such any social theory developed in the secular west is around their own assumptions and not around Islamic principles. When we talk of systems from Islamic perspective the theories have to be based on principles as enunciated by the Qur'an. Iqbal has based his theory of the dynamics of Khudi on the ayaat of the Qur'an and as such, it can be claimed that his theories are from the Qur'anic perspective. This study explores and analyses Iqbal's educational philosophy related to human nature, individuality and human self-development as extracted from his Persian anthology, Asrar-i-Khudi and studies the implications of a young child's self-realization (khudi) during early childhood learning. Hermeneutics was employed and the verses were exegetically deciphered. The qualitative thematic deduction is applied using Colaizzi's method to draw Iqbal's ideas of human nature, individuality, and human self-development. Using the dynamic of Khudi as narrated in Asrar e Khudi a human learning theory has been generated which can be claimed as Qur'anic theory of learning as Iqbal has based his theory of Khudi on the verses of Qur'an. The present study explores the delicate Qur'anic metaphors related to the teachings on family life. The Quran is said to be a code of life for man. This study sets out to explore the guidelines related to family life, the basic unit of a society and human civilization, provided through metaphors in the Qur'an. It attempts to analyze those metaphors in depth in order to inform humans in different roles in a family set up as this fulfilling the duties related to these roles is the foundation of a balanced household which in turn is a fundamental unit of society. The right to basic necessaries is considered as one of the primordial Human Rights. It received almost universal recognition by all societies and people of all creeds. The religion of Islam, and sayings and conduct of its Messenger (SAW) lay great emphasis on the development of this idea of right to basic necessaries and its provision. There is no denial to the fact that one cannot survive without basic necessaries of life. It is the reason that Islam being a natural way of life has not ignored this important aspect of life, rather has ensured its provision. The present doldrums position and state of decadence, lack of knowledge and wisdom, back benchers in science and technology, education, medicine, trade and business, banking system and defensive incapability of the Muslim World prompted me to write this article. My objective is to investigate our teaching-learning process and provide guidelines for efficient and effective teaching. Apart from the opinion of prominent scholars and experts, I will also look at our principal sources of inspiration, which are, the Qur'an, Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW), and examples of the 'enlightened Caliphs' and see if we could work out seminal guidelines for our rectification. Sur Kadero is indeed a battle song, sung by different poets of world to eulogies the great sacrifice rendered by grandson of prophet, when Imam Hussain was leaving for Karballa, he summoned the shura of the companions of the prophet, which overwhelmingly endorsed the great Imam to postpone the expedition to Karballa. Perceiving it as Almighty's call, Imam Hussain accompanying his immediate family set to leave Madina and proceed to Karballa for great sacrifice. Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, the great mystic poet of world, took the tragedy of Karballa from its broader perspective. He terms the sacrifice of Karballa as continuation of the sacrifice initiated by Ibrahim Khalilullah. To Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Karballa exhibited the nerves of patience, courage, forbearance and valor of Imam Hussain. It has vindicated his approach of submission to the will of Allah to oppose despotism and demagagogus style of ruling. To world Imam Hussain is tower of facing despotism and highlighting democracy and rule of law as ordained by God Almighty through His prophets and Holy Quran. Hussain is symbol of right and a doctrine to wage all possible efforts against dictatorial rule. Hussain championed human rights and upheld democratic norms in the annals of universe for all times. The enlightened world can adopt Hussain as worthy example of human dignity, freedom of speech, system of accountability as binding factors of the rule of law and genuine Governance in world. Objective: The purpose of this study is to highlight the presently used medical educational principles highlighted in the Quran, analyze them and correlate them to derive lessons facilitating their implementation. Study Design: Mixed method study. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Medical Education, CMH Medical College, Lahore; January to December, 2013. Material and Methods: Verses of Quran from different Tafaseer (Explanation of Quran by renowned Muslim Scholars) related to education were identified. Help from dictionaries and encyclopedias available on internet were sought for true meanings and connotations. The ideas derived from the medical educational research were applied to find educational principles and compared to existing medical educational philosophies. Learner response system was used to gather educationalists opinions. Results: Principles of medical education which have been learned over last few decades and are now globally accepted and practiced were already there in Quran for last 1400 years. The common principles discovered and discussed were: Simplicity, Learning in steps, Paced learning, Identification of important, Critical thinking, Inductive reasoning, Use of examples, and Repetition. Most of these are core principles of medical education. Conclusion: Adult learning principles are already present in the Quran. In the propagation of these modern medical educational principles, references to Quran may help to understand their deeper perspectives. Sex has a vital importance in the life of human beings; propagation of human life and society at large is mainly dependent upon its disciplined fulfillment. Thus all the divine religions made the marriage as an institution of legal relationship between man and woman through the family system. It is understood that society and civilization require for their existence a certain amount of regulation of sexual expression. However, it is also a fact that what is seen as being beneficial to society is not always considered by an individual as being beneficial to him. Humanity has been dwindling between the two extremes with reference to sexuality. Today, porn is advertised under the banner of sex education by including it in the syllabus of some educational systems. In all times and at all levels of human culture instructions in the matters of sex have been closely bound up with the social mores and the prevailing codes of ethics applied to sexual conduct. In the development of these codes, religion has of course been a dominant factor. The Quranic teachings related to human sexuality are of the most sober nature, which have further been explained in different Traditions of the Holy Prophet. This paper discusses the Quranic verses related to some aspects of human sexuality as the most idealistic method of educatinghuman beings about this significant subject. The paper presents an overview of Syed Abul Aa'la Maudoodi's philosophical thoughts and its applications to educational process. Syed Abul Aa'la Maudoodi was a great thinker of Islam and a famous religious of the world. He gave logics in a philosophical style and proved that Islam is an absolute system of life. In his tafsir (Quranic interpretation) Tafhim'ul Quran he introduce the four interrelated concepts. He believed essential to understand Quran: Ilah (divine), Rab (Lord), Ibadah (worship) and Din (religion). Fundamental philosophical thoughts rooted in Islam that (i) ultimate reality is Allah (swt); (ii) ultimate source of knowledge is revelation (wahi); (iii) every person is a vicegerent of Allah (swt) and he is responsible for his responsibilities infront of Allah (swt). No nation can preserve its existence with pride and dignity unless and until there is unity among its people. No nation or society can achieve all the developmental stages of success unless it is strong and united. It is a fact that a scattered people can never be successful in their aims and objectives. A well organized group of people is needed for the achievement of success in which unity is the basic element. Need of the hour is that all the people of society should be embodied as a whole so that Ummat-e-Muslima should emerge as one united Ummah. This difficult task can only be done easily when all the individuals and communities agree on this agenda that tolerance and unity should be promoted instead of disorder and anarchy. The concept of a united nation can only be possible if there is tolerance and forbearance in differences. The wall of differences is going to strengthen with the passage of time on account of the absence of tolerance. There is only one way to root out sectarianism and create an atmosphere of mutual tolerance and that is to follow the Quran and Sunnah. That very path cans be the path of our survival. Great poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai always possessed three books with him self i.e. The Holy Quran, Masnavi Moulana Roomi, Shah Abdul Karim Jo Risalo. It is commonly said Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai was not educated formally, he was gifted. One can find frequently the usage of Arabic Words, the Quranic verses, Hadiths and Arabic sayings, in particular, in his Risala. It suggests that he was a great scholar and fully equipped with Arabic, Persian and oriental literature as well. He has used these verses with great poetic skill and sense. This skill has also become a grate source to propagate Islamic message through his poetry all over the world. The Islamic sociology engulfs all socio mores of human way of living. The criterion and nature of this society is to regulate the individual's conduct both in person and with other human beings, basing on his Creator's moral fiber for ultimate success. It standardizes all living obligations of human life like faith, rituals, education, matrimonial, legal, social, political, economics and behavioral ethics. It provides guidance for every obligation of life including all societal issues of peace and war times, national/international. The main sources of guidance are the 'Quran and Sunnah' with two supplementary sources: Ijmaa and Qiyas: (Drawing analogy from the essence of divine principles and preceding by the jurists/learned people for all religious and socio living). Seerat of the Holy prophet (PBUH) holds a very significant position in the teachings of Islam. Seerat, in fact, is deemed as the commentary (in words and in deeds) of the holy prophet on the teachings of Quran. Since Seerat grew under the shadow of the Glorious Quran, it helps immensely in understanding the spirit of Islam. In fact, some Seerat writers aptly insist that the best way of understanding Islam is to read Seerat in the light of Quran and read the Holy Quran in the light of Seerat. This integral conjunction, they contend, can help us to have a real grasp of the spirit of Islam. In view of the importance of Seerat, no wonder, there are innumerable books on the Seerat of the Holy Prophet in almost all the leading languages of the world. These books on Seerat cover the life of Prophet from cradle to grave. Of course, one can not dismiss that some of these books are written with meticulous care and extra-ordinary respect for the prophet, while others are not of equal standard. Our contention is that two of ibn-e-kaseer's books, that is, Tafseer Ibn-e-kaseer and Al-bidaya wan Nahyan are considered the most respectable books on the Seerat of the holy prophet. It is obvious that in a small article of this nature, only an overview of these editions can be presented.
