Objective To evaluate the Intervention effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nursing technique on joint pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis by using meta-analysis method. Methods The randomized controlled trials of TCM nursing interventions for patients with rheumatoid arthritis published in PubMed, China Biomedical Literature Database, China National Knowledge Network, Wanfaig Database and VIP database were searched by computer, and the included references were screened. The retrieval period was from January 2010 to January 2020. Two reviewers independently conducted literature screening, data extraction and quality evaluation according to the Cochrane Reviewer's Handbook quality evaluation criteria, and then Meta analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. Results Totally 13 studies were included, including 1315 samples. The results of meta-analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the intervention group and the control group in improving the pain VAS score of rheumatoid arthritis patients (WMD [random] = -1. 99, 95% CI [-2. 62, -1. 36]), and a statistically significant difference in improving the nursing efficiency of rheumatoid arthritis patients (RR [fixed] =1.12, 95% CI [1.05, 1.20]). Conclusion TCM nursing technology intervention may reduce the pan VAS score of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, improve the efficiency of nursing for patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Due to the limitation of the quantity and quality of the included studies, the above conclusions need to be verified by more high-quality studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
