With the rapid development of the electric power industry in China, the amount of fly ash discharged is growing day by day, which brings great harm to the production industry and people’s living conditions. In this article, hydro-thermal method and alkali fusion -hydro-thermal method have been used to prepare 4A zeolite from coal fly ash. The results indicate that the optimum conditions (calcination temperature 850°C, ratio of silicon to aluminum in raw material 0.8, alkalinity of NaOH 2.5mol/L, the aging time 6h, crystal temperature 90°C and crystal time 24h), the specific surface area of the prepared zeolite is 605.6m2/g. The synthesized 4A zeolite has a uniform particle size with a narrow distribution. Its shape is cube and in rules, and all its properties are close to 4A zeolite purchased in the market.

In view of the high consumption and contamination of traditional vanadium extraction technology, a new process of leaching the converter vanadium slag without roasting with titanium dioxide waste was proposed. Extraction mechanism of P204 in the leaching solution had been researched and single factor experiments show that after a prereduction of Fe, and under conditions: ambient temperature, leaching solution original pH=2.5, phase ratio (A/O)=1:3, shaking time 8min, the extraction rate of V is more than 98.62% meanwhile the separation rate between V and Fe is up to 135.3 in the 20%P204–10%TBP-Sulfonated kerosene extraction system.

Calcification-carbonization is a new method of producing alumina with low-grade bauxite (red mud). Low-grade bauxite (red mud) are all converted into garnet hydration during calcification process, then garnet hydration are treated with CO2 and the new structure red mud are gained by digestion. Main components of the new sturcture red mud are CaSiO3 and CaCO3, it can be used directly for cement industry and Bauxite resource recycling is carried out. A series of experiments were done by our team and confirmed that the new method was feasible, A/S of new structure red mud dropped to 0.21 and the content of sodium is under 0.2%. Process calculation software METSIM was used to design and simulate the new process of producing alumina with low-grade bauxite (red mud) by calcification-carbonization method, and its economic with series process and bayer process was analyzed.

A new kinetic model for diaspore digestion process has been proposed in the view of fractals. Considering characteristics of the natural diaspore particles, this paper introduces two fractal parameters, reactive fractal dimension, DR, and particle size distribution (PSD) fractal dimension, DPSD, to describe the irregular shape and rough surface, and the ruleless particle size distribution, respectively. A piecewise volume cumulative distribution function with PSD fractal dimension has been developed to express the PSD of natural particles varying with digsting time. Combining the piecewise volume cumulative distribution function, the new model, PSD+RC+F model, could express the diaspore digestion process well, by carrying out numerical analysis.

Research on the leaching performance of fly ash of Shanxi, Chongqing and Western Inner Mongolia. Analyze the existing forms, crystallinity and package situation of Al-Si phase in fly ash from different areas by using SEM and XRD. Effect of fractionation of Al-Si phase in fly ash on the leaching performance from the view of mechanism was investigated as well. Leaching experiments and analysis indicate that: the leaching rates of Al203 in fly ash from the there different areas are 97.41%, 68.94% and 23.61% respectively, under the conditions of solid-liquid ratio 1:20, rotary speed 500rpm, leaching time 120min, sulfate concentration 20%, particle sizes −74µm. Leaching performance of fly ash in Western Inner Mongolia is better than that in other two areas. The main reason for different leaching performance of fly ash from different areas is the difference in crystallinity, encapsulated glass phase of Al-Si phase in fly ash. The crystallinity for Western Inner Mongolia is 75.98%, while there is no non-crystalline phase in fly ash from other tow areas, The average FWHM of XRD diffraction peak of Al-Si phase are 0.641, 0.3324 and 0.1107, respectively. The crystallinity of fly ash in Western Inner Mongolia is worst among the there areas, and its content of glass phase is also lowest among them, so its activity is obviously higher than that of other two areas.

This paper investigates the changes of phase and apparent morphology under the combined effects of an intense magnetic field and temperature field and the effect law of different roasting conditions on the digestion performance of roasted diaspore. The results indicated that roasting pretreatment under high magnetic fields can change the microstructure and improve the digestion properties of bauxite. The reasonable roasting conditions with intense magnetic field are as follows; the roasting temperature is 550°C, roasting time is 60min and the magnetic field intensity is 6T. The digestion rate of alumina of the roasted ore is 84.17% and the digesting liquid ratio is 1.39 while the digesting temperature is 190°C with the digestion time of 60mins. The digestion rate of alumina of the roasted ore increases to higher 52.85% than that of the raw ore, but the digesting liquid ratio is decreased to lower than 0.99 of the raw ore under the above roasting conditions. The digestion temperature of roasted ore decreases by 30°C compared to the raw ore.
