Bu çalışmanın amacı, çeşitli biyokütle atıklarının ahşap esaslı kompozit yapı malzeme üretimine doğrudan kazanımlarının sağlanmasıdır. Böylelikle mobilya sektörünün milli kaynaklarımız olan ormanlarımız üzerindeki yükün azaltılması amaçlanmıştır. Ek olarak masif ürünler yerine alternatifleri olan ahşap esaslı kompozit türlerinin zenginleştirilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu amaçla; muz kabuğu başta olmak üzere, gliserin, mısır nişastası, biber sapı (100 mesh) ve kızılçam odun unu (60 mesh) kullanılarak hazırlanan 16 farklı biyoplastik numunesi üretilmiştir. Daha sonra, hazırlanan bu örneklerin asidik ve bazik ortamdaki çözünmeleri incelenmiştir ve ASTM D 792 standartlarına uygun olarak yoğunluk değerleri tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; asidik ortamdaki en düşük ve en yüksek çözünme değerleri % 6.7 ve % 61.9 olup sırasıyla G14O8 ve G7O2 numunelerine aittir. Bazik ortamda ise sırasıyla, % 14.3 ile G7O8 ve % 35.7 çözünme değeri ile G7B1 numunesi belirlenmiştir. Üretilen biyoplastik kompozitler arasında yoğunluğu en yüksek olan 2.29 g/cm3 değeri ile G7O8 numunesi, en düşük ise 1.03 g/cm3 ile G7B7 ve G14B7 numunelerinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir., The aim of this study is to provide the direct recovery of various biomass wastes to the production of wood based composite materials. Thus, it is aimed to reduce the burden on our forests, which are the national resources of the furniture sector. In addition, it is aimed to enrich wood-based composite types with alternatives instead of massive products. For this purpose; 16 different bioplastic specimens were produced using banana peel, glycerin, corn starch, pepper stalk (100 mesh) and pine wood flour (60 mesh). Then, the dissolution of these samples in acidic and basic medium were examined and density values were determined in accordance with ASTM D 792 standards. According to the results obtained; The lowest and highest dissolution values in the acidic medium were 6.7% and 61.9%, respectively, belonging to G14O8 and G7O2 samples. In the basic medium, respectively, G7O8 with 14.3 % and G7B1 sample with 35.7% dissolution value were determined. Among the produced bioplastic composites, G7O8 sample had the highest density of 2.29 g/cm3 and G7B7 and G14B7 samples had the lowest value of 1.03 g/cm3.

Bu çalışmada amaç, polipropilen esaslı odun plastik kompozit (OPK) malzeme üretiminde kullanılan sepiolit mineralinin termal özellikler ve ısı iletkenliği üzerine etkisinin araştırılması olacaktır. Çift vidalı ekstruder ile odun unu, polipropilen ve sepiolit minerali karışımından elde edilen peletler, öğütülmüş ve presleme işlemi yapılarak OPK levhalar üretilmiştir. Üretilen levhaların ısı iletkenliği özelliklerinin (ASTM C 1113-09) yanı sıra Termogravimetrik Analiz (TGA) ve Diferansiyel Taramalı Kalorimetri (DSC) gibi termal özellikleri belirlenmiştir. OPK malzemelerde yangın geciktirici olarak kullanılan sepiolit mineralinin eklenme miktarının artması ile termal ve ısı iletkenliği özelliklerinin geliştiği, kristalizasyon derecesinin ise azaldığı belirlenmiştir., The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of sepiolite mineral used in the production of polypropylene based wood plastic composite (OPK) materials on thermal properties and thermal conductivity. The pellets obtained from the mixture of wood flour, polypropylene and sepiolite minerals with double-screw extruder were milled and pressed to produce OPK boards. Thermal properties such as Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) as well as the thermal conductivity properties of the produced boards (ASTM C 1113-09) have been determined. It has been determined that the addition of the sepiolite mineral used as fire retardant in OPK materials increases the thermal and thermal conductivity properties, while the crystallization degree decreases.

Bu çalışmada, yaşam alanlarında geniş bir kullanıma sahip ceviz kaplamalarının maruz kalabilecekleri asidik ve bazik temizleme ürünlerine karşı yüzeylerinde meydana gelebilecek renk ve morfolojik değişikliklerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Farklı pH değerlerinde hazırlanan hidroklorik asit (HCI) ve sodyum hidroksit (NaOH) çözeltilerinin ceviz ahşap kaplama levhalarının yüzey pürüzlülüğü ve renk özellikleri üzerine olan etkileri araştırılmıştır. Ceviz kaplama levhaları 10 dakika süreyle asidik pH (1.5, 3.0, 5.0) ve bazik pH (8.0, 11.0 ve 13.5) çözeltilere maruz bırakılmıştır. Levhaların yüzey pürüzlülük ölçümleri ISO 4287, renk ölçüm analizleri ISO 2469 standardına göre gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen verilere göre, hem asidik hem de bazik ortam da pH değeri düştükçe kaplama levhaların yüzey pürüzlülük parametrelerine (Ra, Rz ve Rmax) ait değerlerin azaldığı belirlenmiştir. Renk ölçümlerinde ise asidik ve bazik ortamda pH değeri düştükçe sarılık derecesinin arttığı belirlenmiştir. Beyazlık ve parlaklık derecesi asidik ortamda etkilenmez iken, bazik ortamda pH değeri yükseldikçe beyazlık ve parlaklık derecelerinde artma olduğu tespit edilmiştir., This study aimed to examine the walnut coating which has a wide range of applications in the living spaces may be exposed to acidic and basic cleaning products that may occur the color and morphological changes. The effects of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solutions prepared at different pH values on the surface roughness and color properties of walnut wood veneer sheets were investigated. The walnut veneer boards were exposed to acidic pH (1.5, 3.0, 5.0) and basic pH (8.0, 11.0 and 13.5) solutions for 10 min. Surface roughness measurements of boards were performed according to ISO 4287, color measurement analyzes according to ISO 2469 standard. According to the obtained results, the values of surface roughness parameters (Ra, Rz and Rmax) of the walnut veneer boards decreased as the pH value was decreased in both acidic and basic media. In color measurements, it was determined that the degree of yellowness increases as the pH value decreases in acidic and basic medium. While the whiteness and brightness levels were not affected in the acidic medium, it was found that the whiteness and brightness were increased in the basic medium as the pH value increased.

MDF levhaların yüzeyleri kalsit, yanmayı geciktirici (FR) vetutkal karışımı ile kaplanmıştır. Daha sonra yanma dayanımı özellikleriaraştırılmıştır. Kalsitin tam kuru ağırlığına oranla, karışıma %1, %3 ve %5 oranlarındayanmayı geciktirici olarak bilinen boraks ve muskovit ilave edilmiştir. Yanmakarakteristiklerinin belirlenebilmesi için, numunelerin yanma testleri ASTM E69 standardına göre yapılmıştır. Test örneklerinin, ağırlık kaybı, sıcaklık,O2, CO ve NO gaz miktarları ölçülmüştür. Ölçümler her 30 saniyede birkaydedilmiştir. Boraks %5 kimyasalı, ağırlık kaybı (%74.5) ve O2 miktarı (%20.5) üzerine en olumlu etkiyi yaparken,muskovit %5 kimyasalı ise sıcaklık (289 oC) ve NO miktarı (342 ppm) üzerinedaha fazla etki etmiştir. Yüzey kaplamasında kullanılan boraks ve muskovit,ilave edilme oranına bağlı olarak yanma performansı üzerine olumlu etkiyapmışlardır., In this study, the surfaces of MDF were coated with amixture of calcite, fire retardant (FR) and glue. Then the properties of MDFboards combustion resistance were investigated. Borax and muscovite, known asflame retardants, were added to the mixture at 1%, 3% and 5% relative to theoven dry weight of calcite. The burning tests of the samples were carried out accordingto ASTM E 69 standard so that the combustion characteristics could bedetermined. The weight loss, temperature, O2, CO and NO gas emissionsquantities of the test samples were measured. The measurements were recordedevery 30 seconds. Borax had the most positive effect on weight loss (74.5%) andO2 amount (20.5%), while muscovite 5% chemistry had a greater effect ontemperature (289 oC) and NO amount (342 ppm). Borax and muscovite used insurface coating have been positively influenced on burning performancedepending on addition rate.

In this study, Fire Retardant (FR) chemicals with different proportions were added into fibers and high density fiberboards (HDF) were produced using fibers from Scots pine and beech (50:50). HDF panels containing 3%, 6%, and 9% borax, boric acid, ammonium polyphosphate and alpha-x chemicals powders were manufactured. Limiting oxygen index (LOI) and thermal conductivity properties of HDF panels were determined. FR chemicals improved the LOI and thermal conductivity. However, this improvement was affected by the type and the concentration of the FR chemicals used. The best thermal conductivity result was obtained with 9% boric acid concentrations (0.2815 W/moK) while the best LOI results were obtained from 6% and 9% ammonium polyphosphate concentrations (45%). Keywords: HDF, Borax, Boric acid, Thermal conductivity, LOI, Bu çalışmada, yanmayı geciktirici bazı kimyasal maddeler değişik oranlarda lif ile muamele edilmiş ve yüksek yoğunluklu liflevha (HDF) üretilmiştir. Hammadde olarak %50 kayın ve %50 sarıçam lifleri kullanılmıştır. Liflerin içine tam kuru lif miktarına oranla %3, %6, %9 oranlarında toz halinde boraks, borik asit, amonyum polifosfat ve alfa-x kimyasalları ilave edilerek HDF levhalar elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen yüksek yoğunluklu lif levhanın ısı iletkenliği ve limit oksijen indeksi (LOI) değerleri belirlenmiştir. Yanmayı geciktirici kimyasal maddelerin ısı iletkenliği ve limit oksijen miktarını artırdığı ancak kimyasal madde türü ve konsantrasyon oranına göre farklı etki yaptıkları tespit edilmiştir. Isı iletkenliği için en iyi sonuç %9' luk borik asit (0.2815 W/moK) ile sağlanırken LOI testi için en iyi sonuçlar %6 ve %9' luk amonyum polifosfat (%45) için elde edilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: HDF, Boraks, Borik asit, Isı iletkenliği, LOI
