Maintenance has a very decisive role in the production activities of a company that concerns the smoothness and congestion of production, delays, and the volume of production and production efficiency. The use of semi-automatic machines at PT. Y influences engine reliability. The reliability of the engine depends on the period of use, the older the machine’s age, its function also decreases. The problem formulated in this study is the preparation of maintenance schedules with due regard to the reliability of critical components on the sterilizer machine. The development of the program is based on the reliability engineering approach, which covers the distribution test of engine damage time interval data, calculation of the mean time between failure (MTBF) of the engine, and the reliability of the engine (reliability) when it is repaired. Secondary data obtained from preventive maintenance at PT. Y.

Due to consider the consumer needs, there is a significant amount of researches about SSCM. The integration of sustainability and SCM is very important to be studied deeply. This paper contains results of analysing content about assessing all journal studies systematically in SSCM literatures which published from 2018 to 2019. Performance of company in economic, environmental and social scope could be analysed by using Sustainable Supply Chain Management. Researches that have done also investigating factors that support SSCM practice. The researchers are positioned to speak to the issue that unexplored to the field of SCM such as policy implications of existing work.

Sustainable Manufacturing is becoming a hot issue among companies in Indonesia. Sustainable Manufacturing itself has the meaning of an effort to develop the concept of a sustainable Manufacturing Industry. This concept is considered very necessary to be developed in order to maintain the sustainability of natural resources on earth. The concept of Sustainable Manufacturing has three important aspects, namely economic aspects, social aspects and environmental aspects. The economic aspect is the company’s efforts to keep developing and continue to generate commercial profits, while the social aspect is the company’s effort to provide reciprocity to the local residents. The last aspect is the most important aspect, which is the environment. In protecting the environment, some parameters in manufacturing company such as efficiency material, minimization waste, efficiency resource must be as a priority awareness.

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the manufacture of beverages with various types of drinks both carbonated soft drinks and non-carbonated soft drinks. The company’s products are coca cola, fanta, sprite, minute maid, ades, nutriboost, etc. The company has a warehouse to store products that are produced before being distributed to consumers. There are 79 types of products stored in the warehouse. Problems faced by PT. XYZ is a product that does not have a fixed storage block yet and the company does not have a clear product grouping where the product placement is not based on the similarity of product types and the level of product activity so it takes time to look for products stored in the warehouse when needed. Therefore, it is necessary to design warehouse layout PT. XYZ by using the dedicated storage method to place the product in a fixed location and based on the level of activity. The results of product placement in the dedicated storage method show that the highest T / S value is product code 975341, with a value of 5,200 so that the product is placed in the storage block closest to the staging bays (I / O point).

Problems of Medan City is the city with the third highest population density in Indonesia. This results in a large quantity of waste generation in the Medan city that must be managed. Limitations of waste transport equipment resulting in the accumulation of waste in various polling stations in the city of Medan so that it needs to be carried out distribution route optimization. Optimization is done by Clarke & Weight Saving and Floyd Warshall Algorithm. Saving matrix method is one method used to schedule the quantity of vehicles taking into account the maximum quantity of vehicles. The Floyd–Warshall algorithm is a simple and widely used algorithm to compute shortest paths between all pairs of vertices in an edge weighted directed graph. It can also be used to detect the presence of negative cycles. Routes generated using the Saving Matrix method successfully save of travel distance of 33.65 km, and using Floyd Warshall successfully save the travel distance of 25.89 km.

XYZ is a company engaged in the manufacturing of doors. XYZ process consists of 7 work stations, such as sorting of raw material, the unification of the core material, reaping, laminating, manufacture of components, finishing, and packing. Among 7 work stations, only 1 work station to work while standing still during work (8 hours) and do not have other work that supports the position that the work station finishing work. The purpose of this study is to make improvements to the facilities at the finishing work desk. Facility design work is done by using quality methods to obtain technical characteristics in accordance with the desire of works. Furthermore, the results of the design tool socialized to all component companies use macro ergonomic analysis and design (MEAD). From the result of the design was found that the workbench is design to have the specification table legs fixed, material frame of iron, base material of foam, base material of leather, color frame brown, place mats of blue, the durability of the table at least 3 years, and additional function where the laying equipment. Result are discussed with the company designing and disseminated to the component companies

In the current era of globalization, competition in the industrial world is increasingly competitive, and then the manufacturing industry must be able to optimize its ability to compete. PT. ABC is a battery production manufacturing company that also produces engine parts for use on the company’s production floor. The inability to meet the punch needs to be used on the battery production floor is one of the problems faced by the company. In the punch production process, some activities are not needed such as operators looking for irregularly located support devices and operators repeatedly measuring the results of object feeding in the manual turning process because there is no standard measurement, which causes the grace period to belong. This study aims to reduce waste in a series of production processes or not valuable adding activities and shortening the total waiting time using the Value Stream Mapping tool. To identify waste, you must first know which activities are of added value and not value added. One method proposed to fix this problem is Lean Manufacturing. The result of using the Lean Manufacturing method is the proposed improvement is to eliminate activities that are less efficient and can reduce production time by 2897 seconds and reduce production activities with 17 events so that the production process is more efficient than before. It can be concluded that the waste that occurs is over processing and movement caused by work methods and machinery.

Medan Barat District have many environmental problems includes unoptimal waste management which is resulted by a large number of trash. The large number of trash is not well transported and the area serviced by waste managements are 9 points of temporary landfill which is the waste volume of each temporary landfill point is different, this study applies Floyd Warshall method to determine the waste transport route in Medan Barat District. This method allows the determination of routes by taking into vehicle capacity and volume of waste at each polling station. The data used is the distance between the pool with the temporary landfills point and the distance between the temporary landfills points. The results obtained in this study that total distance of all trucks carried out in Medan Barat District is 415 km and after using Floyd Warshall method, a total distance has been 387,11 km and total saving distance is 6,7%. Total cost has spent in Medan Barat District about Rp.712,000 per day and after using Floyd Warshall method, total cost has been Rp. 664,000 per day and total cost saving 6,7%. Based on the result, it indicates that the route made using Floyd Warshall method produces a better trash hauling route.

The potential of hydrogen as a fuel for the future has been discussed as a part of the energy agenda for decades. Many research projects led by academics and engineers are directed by the future use of hydrogen in the energy supply chain for road transport, and power generation for energy storage. Economy base hydrogen is a long period for many countries being sustainable energy system. The policy maker also learn the implementation and challenges an economy change based on carbon doesn’t sustainable to be economy sustainable hydrogen. Challenge in build infrastructure discussed from perspective planning for the economy of hydrogen production feasibility. In this study, the economic feasibility of hydrogen production was calculated from raw oil palm empty fruit bunches in North Sumatra. Assessment of several factors in getting results BEP production value is 175.965 kg with a value of Rp37.684.532.764 NPV, IRR of 13.976%, and PBP during 6 years, 5 months.

Company engaged in manufacturing that produces door leaf. This company is a factory whose work is done semi-automatic that man has a role in sustainability of production process. A problem in the production process of the door where there is a defect which is the main cause factor is human (human error). This problem can be solved by performing human error analysis with SHERPA and HEART methods. Systematic Human Error Reduction and Prediction Approach (SHERPA) analyzed occurrence of human error by using a hierarchical task input basic level while Human Error Assessment and Reduction Technique (HEART) part the calculation reliability is defined as how much operator made a mistake in the task that should be done. From the research found the results obtained SHERPA methods work items that have a critical level that is 2.2 (too long), 8.2 ( too long), and 11.2 (the flat part of the door yet). Based on the research with HEART method obtained the total value of HEP is 0.4986 where the value is influenced by EPCs factor. Based on the data obtained then possible troubleshooting for item 2.2, 8.2, and 11.2 issues is by improving operator skill.

Production floor layout settings include the organizing of machinery, materials, and all the equipments used in the production process in the available area. PT. XYZ is a company that manufactures rubber and rubber compounds for retreading tire threaded with hot and cold cooking system. In the production of PT. XYZ is divided into three interrelated parts, namely Masterbatch Department, Department Compound, and Procured Thread Line Department. PT. XYZ has a production process with material flow is irregular and the arrangement of machine is complicated and need to be redesigned. The purpose of this study is comparing movement displacement using BLOCPLAN and ALDEP algorithm in order to redesign existing layout. Redesigning the layout of the production floor is done by applying algorithms of BLOCPLAN and ALDEP. The algorithm used to find the best layout design by comparing the moment displacement and the flow pattern. Moment displacement on the floor layout of the company's production currently amounts to 2,090,578.5 meters per year and material flow pattern is irregular. Based on the calculation, the moment displacement for the BLOCPLAN is 1,551,344.82 meter per year and ALDEP is 1,600,179 meter per year. Flow Material resulted is in the form of straight the line.
