Wakatobi National Park has a diverse fish population, and its conservation potential for reef fish resources is quite large. As a result, to be sustainable, the exploitation of these resources must be properly managed. This study aims to look into the characteristics of reef fish fisheries, such as species composition, catch, fishing ground, and fish length. The outcomes are hoped to be beneficial in monitoring the management of the resources. This research was conducted in April-November 2018 in Wakatobi, Indonesia. Analytical methods process the data. The results showed that gold spotted rabbitfish (Siganus punctatus), parrotfish (Hipposcarus longiceps), emperor (Lethrinus lentjan), grouper (Epinephelus sp), and trevallies (Caranx sp) dominated the total catch from muroami, speargun, and hand line. Muroami boats have a higher average CPUE (212 kg/trip/month) than speargun (29.0 kg/trip/month) and handlines (13.0 kg/trip/ship). Some of the reef fish caught in Wakatobi National Park is small and immature. Muroami net, speargun, and handline fishing are mostly done in the southern part of the Wakatobi National Park area, around Binongko Island. One of the management actions undertaken by Wakatobi fishermen is fishing inside the management zone that has been established, namely the local use zone.

Sclerotium rolfsii is the causal organism of the damping-off disease of soybean. Control of this disease is usually carried out by using chemical fungicides that have a negative impact on the environment. One of the efforts to overcome this problem is by using botanical fungicides from plant extracts. This study aims to determine the effect of plant extracts from Alpinia purpurata, Zingiber officinale, Curcuma longa, Curcuma xanthorrhiza, and Kaempferi galanga on the in-vitro growth of Sclerotium rolfsii and on the in-vivo of damping-off disease of soybean. In addition, a phytochemical test was also undertaken to determine the content of secondary compounds found in plant extracts. The experiment was carried out at the Chemistry Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Microbiology Laboratory and a Greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Mataram, from July until October 2020. The experiments used a completely randomized design (CRD) with seven treatments and three replications. The seven treatments were A. purpurata, Z. officinale, C. longa, C. xanthorrhiza, and K. galanga with a concentration of 5% (v/v), control (+), and the alcohol (-). The results showed that the extracts of A. purpurata, Z. officinale, C. longa, C. xanthorrhiza, and K. galanga with a concentration of 5% could suppress the growth of S.rolfsii by in-vitro. However, in the in-vivo trial, no extracts could suppress damping-off disease of soybean.

Vegetation cover changes information is essential in forest and plantation management. Low-resolution remote sensing in mosaic data format has been widely used for vegetation cover change mapping on a global scale by implementing the threshold method. However, the problem with this method in Landsat-8 - which has a higher resolution - is that it is challenging to obtain the appropriate value due to the diversity of Indonesia’s land ecosystems. This research aimed to determine the threshold value for detecting devegetation and revegetation to identify vegetation cover changes rapidly. This research used Oldeman Climate Classification with zone A and B as the references. The threshold values to classify vegetation cover changes were derived from the delta Normalized Burn Ratio (dNBR) of Analysis Ready Data (ARD) Landsat-8 - taken in Sumatera as the pilot area. Moreover, the proposed method was also applied to Kalimantan and Java Islands, with have identical climates. The results indicated that dNBR threshold for devegetation was more than 0.376, while revegetation was less than -0.269. These results were evaluated using high-resolution satellite imagery and ground-truth information. It concluded that Kalimantan Island obtained good results in mapping vegetation cover change with the threshold; however, Java Island required further adjustment for the threshold.

The South China Sea is the western part of Sunda Shelf, divided into shallow water in the southern part and deeper in the north. The Indonesian Fishery Management Area (FMA) 711, located in the southern part of this area inside the country’s territorial waters, was one of fertile and high in biodiversity in terms of fish species. The collection of fish larvae was conducted as part of biological parameters on a stock assessment cruise survey in October 2017 using the Baruna Jaya IV research vessel. Results showed that there were 47 families of fish larvae found in 31 sampling stations. Abundance ranges from 16,2 – 2342,2 ind/1000 m3 with an average of 413.6 ind/1000 m3. The number of Families varies in every station from 2 – 22 with an average of 11. The dominant taxon was Engraulidae with 21.47%; followed by Nemipteridae, Scaridae, and Pomacentridae with 11,55%, 7,72%, and 7,34% respectively. Family with the highest distribution was Nemipteridae and Pomacentridae which cover 80,65 % of the sampling area. Others that also have high coverage are Carangidae, Scaridae, and Labridae with 64,52 %, 61,29 %, and 58,06 % respectively. This result indicates the high biodiversity of the area.

Forest and land fires that occur every year are crucial issues in Indonesia, especially in Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau. This location is one of the relatively unique locations because almost the entire land area is a peatland. Information on the level of danger of forest and land fires in Meranti Regency is not yet available on a detailed scale. This research aims to map potential hazard areas for forest and land fires in Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau. Spatial analysis using Multi-Criteria Evaluation (MCE) with variables of land cover, soil type, distance from rivers, distance from roads, and distance from residentials. The results showed that the area of the potential hazard of forest and land fires in Kepulauan Meranti Regency was dominated by a high hazard level of 245,323.06 ha (68.08%).

Golden rabbitfish (Siganus guttatus) is an important species to people in Wakatobi islands that are surrounded by the Banda Sea and the Flores Sea. They catch the fish for local consumptions and trade processed fish to other areas. This study aims to determine estimates of the fish's growth, mortality, and exploitation rates. The study was conducted from January to November 2016 in Wakatobi. Analysis was carried out the FISAT II package. The fish length ranged from 8.0 to 49.0 cm with an average of 26.19 cm. The growth pattern of male fish was positive allometric while for female fish was allometric negative. The sex ratio was inbalanced. The estimate of length at first capture (Lc) was 27.65 cm (FL) while the estimate of length at first maturity (Lm) was 30.49 cm (FL). The natural mortality (M) was 1.51/year while the fishing mortality was 1.28/year and the exploitation rate was 0.46/year. The SPR was 0.49, indicating the exploitation rate of Siganus guttatus in the studied areas is still at the optimum condition.

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic requires that every employee in a university maintains his health. One of the most important body parts to maintain during this pandemic is body temperature. The purpose of this study was to develop a non-contact digital thermometer to measure the body temperature of FKIP employees, Mataram University. The digital thermometer development method starts from literature studies, tool specifications, hardware design, software design and thermometer testing to measure employee body temperature in the morning and afternoon. The results of the digital thermometer test showed that the employee’s body temperature in the morning with an average of 33.36 °C and in the afternoon with an average of 33.96 °C. So it can be concluded that the Mataram University FKIP employees who came to work did not experience Covid-19 symptoms.

Length expansion is an increase in the length of an object due to receiving heat. If a solid object is heated then the object will expand in all directions, in other words the length increases the length of an object because it receives heat. A tool for comparing the length expansion of various metals is the Musschenbrock. To measure the temperature of an object can use a sensor. The sensor used in this research is the LM 35 based on Arduino Uno. The development method for this Length expansion tool temperature detector starts from tool design, hardware design, software design, tool calibration and tool testing. From the results of research using an Arduino Uno-based temperature detector, it can be said that this research was successful because the values obtained were almost the same as the existing theory. So, this detector is suitable for use in laboratories or schools as a learning medium to determine the length expansion of metals.

In the Lake Tempe Area every rainy season is flooded. Where in the dry season the waters of Lake Tempe will experience drought and in the rainy season will experience overflowing water that causes flooding. Both seasons have an impact on the agricultural conditions of the community in the Lake Tempe Area. Due to the change of seasons is the dominant factor that causes local communities to adapt and interact with their environment which will also impact the income of people in the Lake Tempe Area. This study aims to analyze the income of people in the Lake Tempe Area Fishermen Farmers in farming activities, fishing and households, in Mallusesalo Village, Sabbangparu District, Wajo Regency and the results showed that during the period studied, namely from April to May 2019, the average household income of respondents in Mallusesalo Village in one year amounted to IDR 29,034,441 household income derived from agricultural and fishing income.

Coffee is a natural resource that has economic value and is also a mainstay commodity for most farmers and is increasingly promising as the market expands. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyse the marketing flow and to analyse the feasibility of a coffee business. This study uses data analysis to see the feasibility of a business by looking for total costs, total revenue and revenue cost ratio (R/C). The results obtained from this study indicate that the coffee marketing channel has 2 different channels involving farmers, small traders, level 1 collectors and consumers. The business feasibility of this study shows that the total fixed costs incurred are IDR 1,000,000/year and the total variable costs incurred is IDR 6,000,000/year, so that the total costs incurred are IDR 7,000,000/year. The revenue obtained is 9,600,000 IDR/year, the result is obtained from a total production of 480 kilos and a selling price of 20,000 IDR/kilos, per kg. The conclusion is that coffee deserves to be done development because the R/C obtained > 1 is 1.37.

Difficulties encountered in the DInSAR technique is the temporal and geometric decorrelation. This method’s main objective is to identify a single-pixel called Permanent Scatter (PS) over a long-time-interval and for a wide-angle of view variation. In this study, we aim to use the PS-InSAR technique to monitor land surface changes in the LUSI mud volcano area with coherence threshold difference analysis using the Sentinel 1A data set using SARPROZ as a tool. The land surface change that is our focus is west and east of the LUSI. Sentinel 1A data processing with different coherence threshold, affecting the number of PS points formed. Based on Fisher’s test on each coherence threshold showed that cumulative displacement and velocity did not differ significantly. During the 3 years since 2017 - 2019, the West LUSI region experienced average cumulative subsidence of -47.95 mm with an average velocity decline of 19.20 mm/year. The East LUSI region experiences average cumulative subsidence of 60.86 mm in the year, with an average velocity decline of 24.37 mm/year. 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) is an essential compound capable of being synthesized from sustainable biomass. The aim of this study was to characterize DES, and obtain data on the relationship between glucose concentration, the amount of DES, reaction temperature, and yield of 5-HMF. The 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) hexose synthesis has been widely studied in published research. The chemical composition of durian seeds (Durio zibethinus) is the water content 10.71%, a fat content 0.38%, protein content 4.76%, and carbohydrate content 83.92%. In recent years, the conversion of carbohydrates has been carried out that is converting biomass to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural. Synthesis of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural from starch by hydrolyzed the starch into glucose under acidic conditions, then it can be used for Dehydration to become 5-hydroxymethylfurfural. This study explores the use of DES-based on Choline Chloride / Ethylene Glycol as a co-solvent in the production of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural. The characteristics of DES-based on Choline Chloride / Ethylene Glycol obtained were the viscosity 238.09 mPa.s, the density 1.115 g/cm3, and pH of 6.3. The best condition for dehydration reaction is the mass ratio of glucose: DES of 1: 5, the temperature of reaction was 90°C with the highest yield 70.34%, and at the initial glucose concentration of 10.05%.

Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) is increasingly being used by applying technology concepts that use a multidimensional view of grouping data to provide quick access to strategic information for analysis purposes. In the tourism industry, especially hospitality, this is very useful, especially in processing hotel operational data. Although OLAP technology has been widely applied in the hotel industry in reporting business sales, marketing, and reporting management analysis, there is still little research that discusses customer activity analysis. This study develops an OLAP-based analytical CRM system to analyze customer data and classify it into two main segments: geographically and demographically. Transactional data for hotels that have existed for the last three years are converted into a data warehouse, including the ETL process from the original database to a star schema database. It has a fact table and dimensions. Furthermore, OLAP cube operations are performed and generate customer reports. Testing in this study was carried out by calculating the total data’s access speed and accuracy from 100 to 5000 customers, and the estimated value was 45.50 to 80 milliseconds in 30 experiments. For further research, it can be developed by integrating data from the hotel transactional system so that the analytical process can run in real-time.

The smart evaporative irrigation is offered as an appropriate option in regulating irrigation water more effective. Smart means the system of irrigation is automatically controlled by a floating ball valve based on evaporation and evapotranspiration rate without electrical power. The objective was to evaluate the functional design of the evaporative irrigation on water demand aspect particularly for Mina-padi (paddy–fish farming). The system was evaluated based on the experimental field in the lab-scale since 10 July 2020. There were three irrigation regimes, i.e., continuous flooded (CR), wet (WR), and dry (LR) regimes. During the vegetative growth stage, the smart evaporative irrigation worked well. The irrigation was supplied by a floating ball valve automatically according to the evapotranspiration rate. The actual water levels were well kept and fitted to the setpoint as indicated by low mean absolute error (MAE). The CR regime needs more irrigation water and evaporated more water through the evapotranspiration process. Its rate was highest ranged between 5.81 – 6.6 mm/day. On the other hand, the LR regime has the lowest evapotranspiration rate in between 1.65 – 4.09 mm/day. The irrigation control system became crucial for control the evapotranspiration rate in which less irrigation water evaporate less water.

The primary key to the modernization of irrigation is the effectiveness of agricultural water use that should be supported by good infrastructure, including information technology (IT). The objective was to evaluate the performance of IT infrastructure in collecting weather data for evaporative irrigation. The system was set up under a natural environment since 10 July 2020 in the Kinjiro Farm, Bogor. The system consisted of three parts, i.e., integrated sensors suite (ISS), console (data logger), and the server, including the dashboard system. The ISS involved several sensors, namely: Pyr solar radiation, rain gauge, air temperature, and humidity sensors, together with wind speed and direction. All data were collected through the console and data logger and then transferred into a local computer server to the dashboard system using an internet connection. The users can access all data from the dashboard system as numerical and graphical data. The system showed a reliable performance, as all data were well properly sent to the server every 30 minutes. The weather parameters, including rain events, were correctly monitored every 30 minutes. All observed data were found to directly affect the reference evapotranspiration, a parameter that will be used for further consideration in determining irrigation scheduling.

High resolution imagery can be used in basic map making process. Basic map is basic data used for Comprehensive Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) making. However, the use of high resolution imagery is still has geometric errors that must be eliminated by performing rectification process. This study took place in Wlingi Sub-district, Blitar Regency. In this research polynomial method orde 1, 2, and 3 are used in rectification process. This method is done to obtain the best results of rectification process. Determination of the number of Ground Control Point (GCP) in orde 1, 2, and 3 are the main focus in this study. Geometry accuracy analysis is done by calculating the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of GCP used in this rectification process and testing the statistics of the distance of the image rectification with distance in the field. The results showed that polynomial method in orde 1 with 5 GCP points produced 0.487 m RMSE, orde 2 with 8 GCP points produced 0.397 m RMSE, and orde 3 polynomial with 12 GCP points produced 0.326 m RMSE. In this study all of polynomials method orde 1, 2, and 3 are suitable for making basic maps for PTSL baseline data Wlingi District, with a scale of 1:1,000 in grade 3.

The aim of this study was to evaluate color and texture of meatballs made from beef, pork, rat, dog meats, and their mixtures. A total of 32 meatballs have been made and they were grouped into eight treatments containing four meatballs, respectively. Color intensity consisting of lightness(L*), redness (a*), and yellowness (b*) has been tested using chromameter CR-400. Additionally, texture of meatballs consisting hardness, gumminess, springiness, chewiness was analyzed using AMETEX test and calibration instrument. The data obtained from this study was furthermore analyzed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the pairwise differences among treatments were tested by Duncan’s multiple range test (DMRT). On January 23rd 2016 there was a landslide in the Lahat-Lubuk Linggau railway, right at the mouth of the railway tunnel in Lahat Regency. About 5 meters thick of soil covered the railway, causing the railway to be stopped for several days. Since the tunnel was built in 1928 until landslides occur in 2016 which means it has been 88 years. The landslide can be caused by several factors, these factors are slope geometry, physical and mechanical characteristics of rocks or soil, geological structure, hydrology and hydrogeology, and external forces such as ground vibration due to railway traffic and earthquake. The results of research on the main causes of landslides in the mouth of the railway tunnel include relatively steep morphological influences, degradation of rock strength due to weathering, dip rock structure in the direction of slope, and ground vibration due to earthquakes. Based on field observations, the slope next to the case study area of the landslide is also unstable. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the slope stability in the area that has the potential to landslide, using a pseudo-static slope stability analysis on the consideration of the effect of ground vibration due to earthquakes is quite significant to slope stability. The results of the pseudo-static slope stability analysis is showing out that the factor of safety is around 1.22-1.16 with a seismic coefficient of 0.10-0.125 g. To anticipate future landslide we suggest to be conducted studies on slope stabilization methods including building retaining walls, drainage channels and shotcrete walls.

Universitas Maarif Hasyim Latif (UMAHA) is a College that organizes scholarship programs for its students. However, in the implementation of the program, some problems occur, namely the University has difficulty in making decisions, and a large number of student data applying for scholarships causes a long time to select the process. So, we need a tool/system to help solve the problem. The purpose of this study is to apply the ID3 decision tree algorithm in a decision support system that can help facilitate the decision making of scholarships by the UMAHA. Referring to Pressman, this study uses the Waterfall Method. Waterfall method is a systematic and sequential software approach starting from analysis, design, coding, and testing. The test results by applying the ID3 decision tree algorithm indicate that the decision support system built can help the effectiveness and efficiency of the scholarship selection decision making the process by UMAHA, and the decision support system built has a high level of decision-making accuracy. For the development of further research, decision making can be based on more criteria such as student activity. Then in addition to academic achievement in this case using the GPA of the previous semester using non-academic achievements such as achievements in the fields of sports, arts, music.

The clay deposit in the coal mining area of Tanjung Enim has a deposit about five times its coal deposit. This clay has not been utilized except as glue on brick briquettes which are relatively small quantities. As a rubber filler, clay can be used, but the silica content is preferred in the clay. Therefore the composition of silica in clay must be known. This study aims to determine the content of silica in the clay contained in the coal mining area of Tanjung Enim. The research begins with clay drying, followed by the fineness of clay grain size to a size of about 10-50 microns. Furthermore, the analysis of the compounds there in is carried out using XRF. The results show that the silica content in the clay is about 53.74 - 75.29% and the highest content is in the Lower D layer 75.29% and followed by the Int B2-C layer 56.87% and Lower C 56.65 %. In general, the compounds in this clay are dominated by SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, MgO, TiO2, and K2O.

Microcrystalline cellulose(MCC) was isolated from corncobs waste. It was activated by NaOH solution with varied concentration in range from 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, 12%, 14% and 17%. Characterization of physicochemical properties of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) molecular weight was conducted by using Mass Spectrofotometer (MS).Preconditioning of MS used 20 μl injection volume, 10 μl concentration, acethonitrile: ultra water (50:50) as eluent. The result showed that NaOHconcentration affect to the type of oligosaccharides fragmentationwith an increased abundance. MS spectra for NaOH 4% showed four major peaks at 834 m/z, 623 m/z, 425 m/z, 383 m/z that indicated 2-5 glucose polymers respectively, with an increased abundance withadditional Na+ and K+ ions. NaOH8%, 12%, 14%, 17% indicated the type of oligosaccharide fragmentation with equal three major peaks at 827 m/z, 623 m/z, 425 m/z. The fragmentatition type of NaOH 10% and avicel standard pH 102, indicated 2-5 glucose polymers respectively,with an increased abundance with additional Na+ and K+ ions, there are peak at 827 m/z and 425 m/z, and there is no peak at 623 m/z because there are no Na* and K+ ions.

The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia has introduced several national and international indexers of scientific works. This policy becomes a guideline for lecturers and researchers in choosing the reputable publications. This study aimed to describe the understanding level of Indonesian lecturers related to indexing databases, i.e. SINTA, DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. This research used descriptive design and survey method. The populations in this study were Indonesian lecturers and researchers. The primary data were obtained from a questionnaire filled by 316 lecturers and researchers from 33 Provinces in Indonesia recruited with convenience sampling technique on October-November 2017. The data analysis was performed using frequency distribution tables, cross tabulation and descriptive analysis. The results of this study showed that the understanding of Indonesian lecturers and researchers regarding publications in indexing databases SINTA, DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar is that, on average, 66,5% have known about SINTA, DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar. However, based on empirical frequency 76% of them have never published with journals or proceedings indexed in Scopus.
