The South-to-North Water Diversion Project will pose a great threat to the lives and property safety of people along the route once a dangerous situation occurs. Therefore, this paper analyzes the historical risk data of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project to identify risk sources, combs the actual risk occurrence process with the basic structure of "Risk Factor→Destruction Link→Destruction Mode", and builds a main canal system risk interpretation model. At the same time, taking the typical high-fill section of the main canal of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project as an example, a typical failure evolution process is selected to construct a dynamic simulation model based on system dynamics to simulate the failure process of the canal embankment under three kinds of manual intervention, as the channel operation under risk input scheduling decisions provides new ideas.

There are complex and diverse engineering structures in the Middle Route Project of South to North Water Transfer. In order to ensure the normal operation of the project during the operation period. By analysing and summarizing the possible dangerous situations, it can effectively improve the emergency response ability of relevant management departments. In this paper, typical structures and risk databases are built based on the method of entity relationship graph. Using the related factors in the history risk databases, the engineering factors, environmental factors and human factors are sorted out to subdivide the entities. The relationship between risk factors and typical structures is carried out by risk codes, so as to build a complete engineering risk database.

On the basis of hourly rainfall dataset from 92 meteorological stations for the 10 years (2008-2017), the spatial and temporal distribution of precipitation in Guangxi were analyzed. Results showed that high value precipitation centers were found over different districts during two time frame, 6:00-12:00 and 18:00-24:00. The rainfall over north of Guangxi mainly happened during 18:00-24:00, but over the middle of Guangxi was during 6:00-12:00. The hourly precipitation distributed unevenly on season scale. Seasonal differences in diurnal variation of rainfall were distinguished. Summer rainfall events concentrated at morning, but the events during other three seasons were more likely to happen in the evening. Using empirical orthogonal function (EOF), the first principal component displayed apparent spatial distribution, which would be helpful to classify the security of mountain flood. During the 6:00-12:00, the patterns were more typical to describe the high rainfall centers in summer. As for the other three seasons, the patterns were appropriate during 18:00-24:00.

Embankment dam leakage may cause devastating consequences and its early detection plays a significant role in the stability of embankment dam. Conventional dam leakage detection methods, such as piezometric tube or osmometer, are restricted by limitations of spatial distribution and high costs of instruments. This paper introduces the method of joint use of Magnetic Resonance Sounding(MRS) and Electrical Resistivity Imaging(ERI) to investigate embankment dam leakage. MRS and ERI are carried out to reveal embankment dam leakage in the same site and the stratigraphy of electrical conductivity obtained by ERI is carefully used for the inversion process of MRS data. And then the amount of groundwater in the subsurface can be directly determined by the technique of MRS. The MRS and ERI results show good consistency with yield data obtained by geological survey. Finally, the detecting capability of joint use of MRS and ERI is verified.
