The electronic and magnetic properties of Ga 1−x Fe x Sb (x=0.125, 0.25, 0.5) have been investigated using the first-principles calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) and DFT plus on-site repulsion scheme (DFT+U). We found that the Coulomb U parameter plays an important role in predicting the correct stable magnetic order. Using the DFT+U method, the ferromagnetic (FM) ordering is found to be the magnetic ground state for both concentrations 12.5% and 25%, where the DFT failed without on-site repulsion U-term correction. This failure of semi-local DFT functionals is the fingerprint of the correlated nature of Fe-3d electrons. This result is in good agreement with experiment. Increasing Fe concentration up to 50% changing the magnetic ground state from FM to antiferromagnetic (AF) phase. We have used the Heyd-Scuseria-Ernzerhof (HSE) method to calculate the unfolded band structure of supercell for Ga 1−x Fe x Sb for x=0.125, in both FM and AF phases. The location of Fe-3d states in the calculation of the unfolded band structure showed a good accordance with recent resonance photoemission spectroscopy (RPES) experimental results. We have found that hole carriers have an important role at Fermi level E F . The rules of thumb to predict the stability of the ferromagnetism in Fe doped GaSb FMS have been discussed.

Acadian Marine Plant Extract Powder (AMPEP) is a commercial organic fertilizer extract from brown seaweed, Ascophyllum nodosum. This study aimed to examine the effect of different concentrations of AMPEP extract on K. alvarezii “Kulisusu” seedlings. We investigated the daily growth rate (DGR), ratio of wet weight and dry weight (FW: DW ratio), and the survival rate of seedlings in encircling tanks. Concentrations of AMPEP used in this study were 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 g L-1 at 30 min immersion time and without AMPEP as control for a 1-month cultivation period. The results showed that the 0.2 g L-1 of AMPEP showed higher DGR in 6-18 days of culture period (3.43-4.25%/day), the 0.6 g L-1 was higher in the 24 days culture period (3.50%/day), and the 0.8 g L-1 concentration was higher in the 30 days of culture period (3.76%/day). For FW: DW ratio, 0.2 g L-1 of AMPEP concentration showed the highest ratio (8.73:1) and was significantly different from the other treatments (p93.33%) with minor variation amongst the treatments (p>0.05). The results concluded that using 0.2 g L-1 of AMPEP in encircling tanks was suitable for seedling development.

Improving physical quality of native chicken meat is important to increase consumer acceptance. Native chicken meat is known to have tough texture and dark colour hence it is less favoured by consumers. One method to improve physical quality is by using cheap and abundant spices. Honje (Etlingera elatior) is a gnarled fruit with slightly sour taste from kecombrang flowers that is usually used as a spice. The research design used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments consisted of P0: without marination using Honje Fruit, P2: Marinade 2 grams of Honje Fruit, P2: Marinade 4 grams of Honje Fruit and P3: Marinade 6 grams of Honje Fruit. The parameters in this study were physical quality of the meat which consisted of pH value, water content, tenderness, cooking loss, and meat colour. The results showed that marinade of 4 grams of Honje Fruit was effective in maintaining the pH value of meat, reducing the percentage of cooking loss, and increasing tenderness. Marinade using Honje Fruit was also effective in maintaining the moisture content of the meat, increasing the brightness, maintaining the freshness of meat by originating reddish and yellowish colours.

Eggs are a rich source of animal protein, such as vitamins A, B, E, D, niacin and riboflavin, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, fat and calories. Apart from having high nutrients, low prices and easy processing, eggs are a livestock product that is easily damaged. Efforts to overcome the damage, it is necessary to carry out preservation. Preservation of eggs can be done by soaking, dry and wet methods, covering the skin with preservatives and storing in a cold room. Soaking fresh eggs is done by soaking various solutions such as lime water, brine solution and filtrate or vegetable tannins containing tannins. The results of the proximate analysis of melinjo leaves contain a tannin concentration of 4.55% which is expected to be one of the vegetable tannins. This study used 176 duck eggs using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 x 4 factorial pattern each with 3 replications, consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the level of melinjo extract (0%, 30%, 40% and 50%) and the second factor was the length of storage (1 day, 14 days, 21 days and 28 days). The results showed s emakin long storage time, the value depreciation egg weight and pH increased. The use of melinjo leaf extract can be used as a preservative starting from the level of 30%.

Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV), Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), Feline Calici Virus (FCV), and other cat’s viral diseases were reported in Indonesia. Viral diseases that appear usually appear in each season with different intensities depending on the type of virus. The research data was taken from Animal Hospital Prof. Soeparwi’s medical record in 2017-2019 along with rainfall, humidity, and temperature data in the Yogyakarta area in 2017-2019 obtained from the Climatology and Geophysics Meteorology Agency (BMKG). Disease data are grouped by diagnosis; temperature, humidity, and rainfall data. Data analysis was performed with Microsoft Excel 2016 in the form of a frequency chart and descriptive. The results of the analysis between the incidence patterns of FPV, FIP, FCV, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), and Papilloma with climatic conditions in the dry and rainy season periods show patterns that vary depending on the character of the virus that causes the disease. High incidence in the rainy season is seen in FPV and FCV, for FIP the incidence of each season is almost the same in each year, whereas the incidence of FVR and Papilloma can be higher in the rainy season and sometimes also can be higher in the dry season. These findings indicate that the incidence of viral diseases in cats has a seasonally based pattern of events.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of hybrid engineering technology to be applied to the groin to reduce longshore currents. The application of hybrid engineering as a breakwater and sediment trap in coastal areas has given good results so that it can be developed in permeable groin structures. The research method used is laboratory experimental with physical modeling to make prototypes and conduct tests on the wave flume to determine changes in current velocity against the existence of a hybrid engineering structure with several model scenarios by changing the characteristics of brushwood groin such as length and distance between groin to surface height. water. The expected result of this study is an engineering model of the permeable groin that can function as an efficient and effective hybrid engineering in reducing longshore currents.

Pineapple extract can maintain the quality of chicken meat due to the presence of the enzyme bromelain, namely proteolysis. This study aimed to determine how the effect of marinating of young pineapple extracts with different immersion times on the organoleptic properties of Free-range chicken meat. This research was treated without immersion/control (P1), immersion time 45 minutes (P 2), and immersion time 90 minutes (P 3). This study was arranged based on a randomized block design with three treatments using 15 trained panellists. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that marination using 3% young pineapple extract has a significant effect (p 0.05) on colour, Odour. and taste.

Leaves of sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) are categorized as a tonic spice in culinary and also often used as herbs. The use of sweet basil leaves is usually dried as a spice to give a distinctive flavour to the cuisine. This study aimed to determine the effect of sweet basil leaves (Ocimum basilicum) application with different percentages on the physical and organoleptic qualities of chicken meatballs. This study used a Complete Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 5 repetitions. The treatments in this study consisted of different percentages of sweet basil leaves powder at P0: 0%, P1: 2%, P2: 4%, and P3: 6%. After chicken meatballs were cooked and stored at room temperature for 24 hours, then the measurement of physical and organoleptic qualities was carried out. The obtained results showed that the addition of sweet basil leaves had a real effect (P0.05) on the water content. It is concluded that the application of sweet basil leaves (Ocimum basilicum) at 4% could effectively improve and retain the physical and organoleptic qualities of chicken meatballs for 24 hours.

Dairy cattle produce milk with a high proportion of saturated fatty acids (SFAs), instead of a low proportion of poly unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). Oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor 1 (OLR1) gene plays a key role in reducing oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) involved in injury, dysfunction, and inactivation of endothelial cells. Association of the OLR1 gene in the 3’UTR of the g.8232(A/C) genotypes on 21 types of the milk fatty acids of Holstein Friesian (HF) cows were analysed kept at a breeding station in Central Java. Genotyping was analyzed by PCR-RFLP method using Pst1 restriction enzyme. Genotypic data were calculated for allele frequency, genotype frequency, and heterozygosity values. Effects of genotypes on individual fatty acid components were analyzed by General Linier Model. Genotyping resulted in three genotypes of AA, AC and CC with the frequenciest successively 0.275, 0.525, and 0.200; and two alleles for A (0.463) and C (0.538). Genotypes affected medium-chain SFAs for Myristic (C14:0) and long-chain for Palmitic (C16:0) and Stearic (C18:0). The AA genotype generated the lowest levels of myristic and stearic, instead of the highest content of palmitic. Further the AA genotype resulted in the highest level of Oleic (C18:1) of MUFA. Therefore the OLR1 gene of the 3’UTR g.8232 (A>C) SNP is possible considered as a molecular-based selection in reducing SFAs (myristic and stearic) and increasing MUFA (Oleic) in domestic HF cattle.

Sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) is a popular herb for flavouring and has a fresh taste. Besides being used for spices, sweet basil is also commonly used as medicine because it has nutritional content. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of marination using sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) at different concentrations on the physical quality of local chicken meat. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. This study had several treatments based on the concentration of sweet basil, namely P0: 0%, P1: 3%, P2: 6%, and P3: 9% with a marinating time of 30 minutes. After marinating, meat was stored at room temperature for 24 hours and then physical quality measurements were taken. The results of the study showed that marination with sweet basil had a significant influence (POcimum basilicum) can produce the best physical quality of local chicken meat.

This study was aimed to study the addition effect of Indigofera zollingeriana leaves flour in feed on slaughter weight, carcass and giblets percentage of broiler chicken. This research used completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were P0 = control, P1 = feed containing 2% indigofera leaves flour, P2 = feed containing 4% indigofera leaves flour, and P3 = feed containing 6% indigofera leaves flour. The measured variables in this research were slaughter weight, whole carcas weight, carcas percentage, heart percentage, gizard percentage, liver percentage, and abdominal fat percentage. The data obtained were analyzed using varian analysis based on completely randomized design and continued using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The objective of this study was to evaluate response, duration and onset of estrous of Sapera does synchronized by PGF2α and PGF2α combined with GnRH hormones. Study used 16 Sapera does at the ages of one year old after reaching sexual maturity at average body weights of 26.52±2.51 kg (22.4—32.5 kg). Synchronization treatments were conducted for two different injections. Group one was injected two times of PGF2α within 11 day interval. While group two was injected by GnRH on the 9th day after the 1st injection PGF2 α and before the 2nd injection of this hormone within 11 day interval. Estrous observation was evaluated every three hours for four days after the 2nd PGF2α injection. Estrous characteristics were based on behaviour and vulva condition of animals. Kandis acid (Garcinia xanthochymus) is a fruit usually dried with a sour taste and used as a spice in Indonesian cuisine. Aside from being a flavoring and enhancer of flavor images in dishes, kandis acid is also thought to be able to preserve fish. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of kandis acid in improving the quality of culled chicken meat. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment was marination of culled chicken meat in kandis acid solution consisting of 4 different concentrations, i.e., 0% or without kandis acid as a control (P0), 50 g kandis acid + 500 mL distilled water (P1), 50 g kandis acid + 750 mL distilled water (P2), and 50 grams kandis acid + 1,000 mL distilled water (P3). The results revealed that the physical quality of the culled chicken meat was affected by the kandis acid marination especially in the meat pH, which was relatively similar to the drip loss, cooking loss, and tenderness of meat. It is recommended that marination using kandis acid with a concentration of 50 g in 750 mL distilled water can effectively maintain the quality of culled chicken meat.

Culled chicken meat have a tough texture, so they are less liked by consumers. The quality improvement of meat is needed to overcome the problem, one of which uses inexpensive spices, namely Gelugur acid (Garcinia atroviridis). This study aimed to determine the gelugur acid marination, which was effective to improve the physical quality of culled chicken meat. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments consisted of P0: without marination using gelugur acid, marinating in 50 g of gelugur acid + 1000 mL distilled water (P1); 750 mL distilled water (P2) and 500 mL distilled water (P3). It was concluded that the level of marinating using gelugur acid to the physical quality of culled chicken meat had a very significant effect (P < 0.01) on the physical quality of chicken meat, namely the pH value, cooking loss and tenderness. However, there was no significant effect (P > 0.05) on drip loss and colour of meat. Acid compounds contained in Gelugur acid are thought to cause protein denaturation so that they affect the physical quality of meat. Marination at concentration (P1) was an effective level to improve the physical quality of culled chicken meat.

Plants have different leaf morphological characteristics starting from the leaf surface, leaf bone, leaf tips, leaf edges, leaf base, and even leaf color. The study of plants has been progressing rapidly. One of them is the branch of science in plant morphology. Morphological characteristics of leaves are one of the properties possessed by leaves and can be seen clearly. This morphological study learns about the structure of the plant body, especially about the edge leaf shape. This study will be done based on leaf shape. Leaf shape can be used as a reference in the classification process. The classification process requires a good data extraction feature, so it is necessary to improve the feature process at the pre-processing level. Combining the median filter and image erosion is used to improve the feature process. As for feature extraction, the seven moment invariant method is used. The classification method used for grouping is the Hierarchical Clustering. This method consists of four kinds. There are complete link clustering, single link clustering, average link clustering, and centroid linked clustering. Based on the results of experiments conducted, the use of Average Linkage Clustering method obtained clustering accuracy of 87%. It proves that the average method successfully optimizes the result by calculating any distance between points of the cluster. While the smallest accuracy results using complete linkage clustering of 81%.

This study aims to develop system application in chili plants. Chili is a fruit commodity that cannot be released in daily needs. This plant is widely used to meet the need for vitamins and minerals necessary for growth and health. Many factors influence the development of plant cultivation, for example temperature, soil pH, humidity, the need for irradiation or light intensity used, and other factors. All of these are a combination that must be known in order to produce good chili plant growth. This study aims to produce a system design for monitoring the growth of chili plants based on the internet of things. The method used in this study uses a waterfall. The results of the study resulted in an IoT design on chili plants that is ready to be tested on a large scale.

Intercropping is a breakthrough in land use optimization. This study aim is to determine the effect of the number of rows and soybean varieties on the growth and yield of soybean in intercropping with corn. This study was set in a split plot design with three replication. The main plot was soybean varieties: Dena-1 (V1), Detap-1 (V2) and Deja-1 (V3), while subplots were the number of rows of soybean planting lines: Monoculture (B0), 3 rows of soybean-3 rows of corn (B1), 4 rows of soybean-3 rows of corn (B2), and 6 rows of soybean-3 rows of corn (B3). The results show that V1 has the lowest plant height as 83.04 cm. The highest number of filled pods is achieved at V2B0 with 78.53 pods but not significantly different with V2B3 as 71.77 pods. B3 gave the lowest plant height 82.74 cm, weight of 100 seeds 15.93 g, and yield weight of 1.13 t ha−1. The lowest populations of Nezara viridula and Bemisia tabaci was produced in V2B3. The highest land equivalent ratio (LER) is achieved in V3B3 1.45. This present study shows that implementing Detap-1 with 6 rows of soybean is better than other treatment in the intercropping with corn.
