The asymmetric unit of the title crystal structure, C15H18O2, contains two independent molecules which have essentially the same conformation. Two independent one-dimensional chains are formed via weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds. A further single weak C—H...O interaction links the two types of chain, forming extended tapes running in the a-axis direction.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C17H19NO2S, contains two independent mol­ecules with different conformations. Both mol­ecules are linked by inter­molecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds [N⋯O = 3.033 (4) and 2.969 (4) A] to form two types of one-dimensional chains running in the b direction.

The relative stereochemistries of the two title compounds, (R * ,R * )-a-(1 -methoxy-2-methylenecyclopropyl)cyclohexanemethanol (2b), C 12 H 20 O 2 , and (R * ,R * )-α-(1-methyl-2-methylenecyclopropyl)cyclohexanemethanol (3a), C 12 H 20 O, have been established. Each structure has a different mode of hydrogen bonding; compound (2b) forms infinite chains [O...O 2.862 (3) A], while compound (3a) forms centrosymmetric tetramers [O...O 2.782 (4) and 2.835 (4) A]

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 4C17H17NO·H2O, contains four independent naphthalenol mol­ecules and one mol­ecule of water. All of the mol­ecules in the asymmetric unit are connected into a contiguous row via O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. This unique hydrogen-bonded row is, in turn, linked to form extended O—H⋯O hydrogen-bonded chains, through unit-cell translations in the a direction. The hydrogen-bonding motif also contains an O(water)—H⋯π(arene) weak hydrogen bond, with an H⋯Cg distance of 2.64 (4) A (where Cg is the center of gravity of the phenyl ring).

C 13 H 22 O 2 (II) cristallise dans Pnab avec a=9,747, b=10,724, c=24,365 A, Z=8; affinement jusqu'a R=0,037. Dans les deux molecules, le groupement hydroxyl est trans par rapport au groupement tert-butyl. Dans (I), des paires des molecules sont liees via des liaisons hydrogene de facon a former des dimeres centrosymetriques, alors que dans II elles forment des chaines infinies

The structure determination of the title compound, C22H24N207, establishes the relative stereochemistry of the molecule.

The title compound, 2,4-dimethyl-9-oxabicyclo[5.3.0]-dec-5-ene-1,3-diol deuterochloroform solvate, C 11 H 18 O 3 .CDCl 3 , has a seven-membered and a five-membered ring which are trans-fused and are affected by angle strain. There are three types of intermolecular hydrogen bonding present in the structure, namely, O-H...OH [O...O 2.774 (2) A], O-H...O [O...O 2.837 (2) A] and C-D...OH [C...O 3.043 (2) A].

The crystal structure of the title compound, pentacyclo[6.4.0 1,5 .0 1,8 .0 7,11 .0 10,12 ]dodecan-6-yl 3,5-dinitrobenzoate, C 19 H 18 N 2 O 6 , establishes the cyclopentane ring junctions in the molecule to be trans fused. The C sp3 -Csp3 bond lengths range from 1.505(4) to 1.568 (4) A.

The relative stereochemistry of the title compound, C 10 H 18 O 2 , has been confirmed. The geometry of the seven-membered ring indicates that it is strained. Molecules are linked by O-H...O hydrogen bonds [O...O 2.796 (3) and 2.816 (3) A] about independent 4 inversion sites to form infinite columns with two independent (...O-H...O-H...) 2 rings

Octahydro-5-phenyl-l,2,4-methenopenta- len-6-yl 3,3,3-trifluoro-2-methoxy-2-phenylpropano- ate, C25H23F303, Mr = 428.5, monoclinic, P2~, a = 10.747 (3), b = 7.975 (3), c = 12.435 (5) A, /~ = 92.81 (3) °, V= 1064.5 (12)/~3, Z= 2, Dx = 1.34 g cm -3, ,t(Mo Ka) = 0.71073 A, Iz = 0.98 cm -~, F(000) = 448, room temperature, R = 0.035 for 1523 observed reflections. The X-ray structure determina- tion establishes the relative stereochemistry. The C(sp3)---C(sp 3) bond distances range from 1.492 (6) to 1.554 (5)/~. Experimental. Hydroboration and oxidation of 5- phenyldeltacyclene followed by the reaction of the product alcohol with Mosher's acid chloride gave the desired compound (3).

In the title mol­ecule, C21H23NO2, the phenyl ring and the fused benzene ring of the naphthyl system form a dihedral angle of 64.22 (5) A. The cyclo­hexene ring is in a half-chair conformation. In the crystal structure, mol­ecules are linked into one-dimensional chains in the b-axis direction via inter­molecular N—H⋯O [N⋯O = 3.3517 (15) A] hydrogen bonds.

The regiochemistry and relative stereochemistry of the title compound, C18H15NO3S, have been established. Molecules form centrosymmetric hydrogen-bonded pairs via intermolec­ular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds [H⋯O 2.01 (3) A and O—H⋯O 168 (3)°].

The regio-, relative, and absolute stereochemistry of the title compound, C38H40BrNO6, have been established. There are two independent mol­ecules in the asymmetric unit.

The regio-, relative, and absolute stereochemistry of the title compound, C16H13BrO2, have been established. Molecules are linked by intermolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds [H⋯O 2.00 (6) A and O—H⋯O 168 (7)°] through 21 screw axes to form chains in the a-axis direction.
