The article presents the author's experience on the hazards of combining paper with polished metal and sunlight. He was a Northern Illinois University marching band member. They would always polish their sousaphones before each game to cause them glaring as the sunlight reflected off their bells. An incident happened after their performance when one of their members' tuba burnt because he put a flip folder in its bell. Since then, they were no longer allowed to insert anything in their bells. more...
