Abstract

Multivariate computer recognition programs or chemometrics enable the classification of four L-tryptophan lots from genetically altered strains II to V of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, based on the principal components analysis (PCA), soft independent modelling of class analogy (SIMCA), hierarchical cluster analysis (MCA) and partial least square regression (PLS) studies. The inclusion of lots from strains II and IV in the lots from strain III shows that strains II and IV are close relatives of strain III.
