With various emerging Social Networking Services (SNS), it is possible for users to join multiple SNS for social relationships with other users and to collect a large amount of information (e.g., statuses on Facebook and tweets on Twitter). However, these users have been facing difficulties in managing all the data collected from the multiple SNS. It is important to match social identities from the multiple SNS. In this study, we propose a privacy-aware framework for a social identity matching (SIM) method across these multiple SNS. It means that the proposed approach can protect user privacy, because only the public information (e.g., username and the social relationships of the users) is employed to find the best matches between social identities. As a result, we have shown by evaluation that the F-measure of the proposed SIM method is about 60%.

In this article, a system dynamics model is developed to study the complex issues involving nuclear energy in Singapore by assessing four essential aspects, namely (1) Economic, (2) Environment, (3) Social, and (4) Political in various scenarios. The first factor juxtaposes the monetary benefit from deploying nuclear energy with the current situation. The second deals with carbon dioxide emission, nuclear waste, and thermal pollution from nuclear power plant. The third part discusses the safety and social acceptance toward nuclear project, and the last section analyzes the political stability in provision of nuclear energy advent. The proposed system dynamic model incorporates all four components that allow us to run sensitivity analysis based on various scenarios and enables us to gain insight in how each domain evolves with time. Based on the model, we present advantages and disadvantages of possessing nuclear power plants in Singapore and suggest remedies to rectify the drawbacks.

The incorporation of mixed construction and demolition (C&D) wastes as a substitute to natural aggregates (NA) has many economic and environmental benefits. In this paper, the results of an investigation on the effect of recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) obtained from C&D wastes on mechanical and durability properties of concretes are presented and compared with concrete containing NA. Compressive, tensile, and flexural strengths are measured as part of mechanical properties and drying shrinkage, chloride ion permeability, water absorption, and sorptivity are measured as part of durability properties. The recycled aggregate concretes contain 25 and 50% RCA as replacement of NA. All samples are tested after 7, 28, 56, and 91 days of wet curing. The results show that the compressive strength of recycled aggregate concretes decreased with increase in RCA contents, however it improved with longer curing.
