Subjective well-being and happiness have taken on increasing interest and relevance. Recently some governments and entities have been presenting, developing, and supporting happiness indexes. Regarding entrepreneurial activity, the presentation of global indexes has been developed for some more years until now. However, despite the existence of these two kinds of analysis, few studies have, so far, focused on comparing the evolution of the two sets of indicators, as well as on the hypothetical relationship between them, which prefigures a gap in the literature. In the present work, an exploratory analysis is performed on this theme, trying to establish the basis for identifying the existence of relationship between both types of indicators, using the comparison between two of the main open access databases, namely data from the World Happiness Report (WHR) and from the Global Entrepreneurship Index (GEI).

Entrepreneurship as a research topic has been approached from different disciplines. After justifying the importance of its study, we define it as a process of discovery, assessment, and exploitation of opportunities. As part of this process, it also becomes important to study the person behind these actions. In fact, the personality approach is one of the most classic approaches in the study of entrepreneurship, albeit at same time one of the most controversial. This chapter summarizes relevant literature on personality traits and entrepreneurship, and differences are also established between broad traits (e.g., Big Five) and more specific traits (e.g., Opportunity Recognition or Locus of Control). Due to space constraints, this chapter does not do justice to all the existing developments that have analyzed the relationship between personality traits and entrepreneurship; however, it also includes a section dedicated to cognitive ability as a line of work that can complement the trait-based approach. The authors finalize this chapter with conclusions from the selected literature.

Research confirms that entrepreneurial intention plays an important role in the decision to start a new firm. For this reason, it has received a lot of attention from researchers who have studied it from different perspectives, using different variables. The goal of this chapter is to investigate the reasons why some individuals tend more to entrepreneurship than others. By utilizing Schwartz's theory of cultural values as the explaining model, this paper analyzes cultural values in relation to three bipolar dimensions: conservation vs. autonomy, hierarchy vs. egalitarianism, and mastery vs. harmony. The authors applied the EOQ scale to a sample of 600 nascent entrepreneurs aged between 25 and 35, belonging to several autonomous communities in Spain. The results show significant differences in the variables of personal, contextual, and entrepreneurial intention regarding the gender, occupation, or professions of the parents and the autonomous community.

Entrepreneurial intention presumes that new business formation is a deliberately designed behavior and is the first step in new business formation. What is the basis of these intentions? In this review chapter, the authors consider spirituality has been seen as a strong predictor of a successful entrepreneur, who bases the company on personal values, that is, economic values are not the most important. If we consider spirituality as a form of intelligence that can be developed, it can be seen as a coping mechanism in the field of entrepreneurship, especially in decision making. A spiritual and resilient entrepreneur has the key to personal fulfillment and sustainable lifelong performance at extraordinary levels.

The focus of this chapter is to show the importance of entrepreneurial education for students at all non-university educational levels in order to foster enterprising skills. We also take into account the need to train other groups, such as parents and teachers, and encourage joint training. With this goal in mind, we collected information about specific practical programmes and here we provide a descriptive analysis of them. Ultimately this information should serve to provide an approximate overview of the current situation in our country and to propose future lines of action
