In this paper, a frequency domain watermarking algorithm for image and video is proposed. By using a novel frequency division multiplexing structure, the information watermark and synchronization template are jointly embedded both in the frequency domain, thus the algorithm has resistance to geometric distortions and real time embedding for bit stream is possible. Detection result is improved by using concatenation coding. Copy attack is combated by introducing low frequency content information in the watermark generation instead of using a second watermark. Experiments show the proposed algorithm is robust and well suited for such applications as copyright protection and broadcast monitoring.
