The high penetration level of wind power aggravates the peak regulation difficulty of power systems, and the traditional peak regulation approach may not be able to account for the rapid fluctuation of net load. In this paper, a new unit commitment model is proposed in which the regular peak regulation, deep peak regulation, and deep peak regulation with oil operation stages of units are considered. In order to effectively track the net load fluctuation, peak power regulation capacity and peak ramp regulation capability are scheduled to address the power capacity demand and ramp capability demand, respectively. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed model are illustrated by the case studies.

Wind curtailment caused by lack of peak load regulation capability invalidates the large-scale installed wind energy capacity and results in low economic efficiency. Based on the daily fluctuation and seasonal operation pattern of wind power and load, this paper introduces two extreme scenarios to describe the impact of wind power integration on peak load regulation of power system. A wind farm planning model considering the peak load regulation capability is proposed. The objective of the model is to maximize the total profit with the system operation constraints considered. After solving the proposed model, the optimal construction site and size of wind farm can be obtained. Case study on IEEE 24-node 38-bus test system verifies the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Interference caused by wind power integration has aggravated peak load regulation difficulty of power systems, especially, for the negative peak load regulation capacity. The energy storage system (ESS) is regarded as a desirable alternative for peak load regulation due to its good properties in flexibility. In order to fully exploit the advantages of ESS in peak load regulation, an optimization model aiming at maximizing the negative peak load regulation capacity is proposed in this paper. The impact of wind power uncertainty and the assistance of participated ESS on the peak shaving are considered. Then, the optimal scheme of ESS is obtained which can reduce the negative peak load regulation pressure obviously. Finally, the performance and effectiveness of the proposed method are demonstrated with actual power system in North China.

In this paper, a novel self-healing restoration control method after distribution network faulting is applied to minimize the active power loss. Back-Forward sweep method based on layered node is selected to calculate power flow according to the radial distribution network model. Moreover, in order to avoid closed-loop structure scheme, a new solution which can reduce the dimension of mathematical optimization calculation is offered during network reconstruction process. If the total number of open switches in the system is equal to the number of tie-switches, and at the same time the system has no island, then the network must be the structure without closed-loop. Furthermore, the island judgement is made conveniently by flow calculation program with no need for a special program. The design is implemented to an IEEE16 nodes system by matlab. Simulation result shows that the solutions of reconstruction decrease from 65536 groups to 13 groups. Accordingly, the correctness and validity of the proposed method can be verified, which is simple and easy to be programmed. It is suited to the real-time control for smart distribution network.

Based on Pro / E as the development platform, using Access to establish a database, developing Visual C++6.0 to drive the intelligent design system of spindle box. The system has finished to knowledge base establishment, database, and inference engine for tapping class spindle box, so it can finish human-computer interaction in the design of the transmission system. It can complete the design of the tapping spindle box more quickly, greatly improved the design efficiency, so that the inexperienced designers can finish the tapping spindle box design at a expert level.

Embedded system is pervasive in software engineering and building a correct and stable model of a hardware module is important for developing embedded software. In this paper, we present an approach to build component-base models for simulating the MMU, which includes loading instructions, reading data and writing data. The component-based models raise the abstraction of the MMU architecture and principles. Interfaces for each model are defined to simulate MMU when the CPU fetches instructions and accesses data. The case study has demonstrated that the component-based models can be successfully applied to simulate the MMU.

Mecamylamine, pharmacologically, has been well characterized as a nonselective and noncompetitive antagonist of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). Because mecamylamine easily crosses the blood - brain barrier at relatively low doses, it has been used by several research groups over the past two decades investigating the role of central nAChRs in the etiology and treatment of various neuropsychiatric disorders. Recently, nAChRs have also been found on non-neuronal cells such as bronchial epithelium and keratinocytes, so it is necessary to investigate the antitumor activity of mecamylamine in lung cancer. In the present study, we study the effects of mecamylamine on cell proliferation and adhesion of lung cancer in vitro. The results showed that cell proliferation of lung cancer was inhibited by mecamylamine treatment in dose dependent and time dependent manners and expression of cell adhesion molecule was changed after mecamylamine treatment. These results indicate that nAChRs played important roles in cell proliferation as well as cell adhesion of lung cancer and action of mecamylamine may be effective as an augmentation pharmacotherapy for lung cancer.

Expert system development environment directly affects the efficiency and quality of development of expert system. According to modular machine tool spindle box's design complexity and design goals of multiple solutions, it identifies modular machine tool spindle box expert system platform is the Pro/Engineer. Its development tools are Visual C++6.0 and Pro/Toolkit, its database management system is Access. It has shortened modular machine tool spindle box expert system development cycle, not only increases flexibility of development process, but also laid the foundation for the main axle box subsequent CAM/CAE/CAPP.

Service industry is an important driving force for the sustainable development of Guangdong's economy in the future, and the shift from manufacturing-driven growth to service-driven growth should be promoted to improve the quality of Guangdong's economic growth. In this paper, the authors first present an overview on Guangdong's service industry, with those problems related to service industry development being illustrated in this and the following section. The strategies the authors propose to promote the development of service industry in Guangdong Province are as follows: 1) institutional reformation; 2) reallocation of factors of production among regions; 3) integrating service industry into the socio-economic system.

With the rapid development of computer communication and web technology, especially the widely application of wireless sensor and embedded technology, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been paid great attention in industry field and our daily life. WSNs based on ARM7TDMI-S CPU and ZigBee device has merit of rapid and simple in networking, node movable in application, abundant information in acquisition, real time collaboration in communication, low power consumption in continuous operation, so it is very suitable for targeting miner's position underground. In this paper, networking scheme of the WSN is presented, and distributed information processing, communication technology and real time collaboration are focused on. Miner's information in mobile is obtained accurately by sensor. After that position information is transmitted reliably to monitoring center. Test result in continuous operation shows there is no information loss or undetected. Therefore this scheme is stable and effective, which will play a positive role for security in coal mine by right of characteristics of Zigbee WSNs in my opinion.

Autonomous obstacle avoidance technology is the best way to embody the feature of robot strong intelligence in intelligent robot navigation system. In order to solve the problem of autonomous obstacle avoidance of mobile robot, an intelligent model is used in this paper. Adopting multi-sensor data fusion technology and obstacle avoidance algorithm based on fuzzy control, a design of intelligent mobile robot obstacle avoidance system based on S3C2410X is described. Its perceptual system is composed of nine ultrasonic sensors to detect the surrounding environment from different angles, enhancing the reliability of the system on the based of redundant data between sensors, and expanding the performance of individual sensors with its complementary data. The S3C2410X processor receives information from perceptual system to calculate the exact location of obstructions to plan a better obstacle avoidance path by rational fuzzy control reasoning and defuzzification method. The paper focused on the analysis of the difference between the simulation results and the actual effects. The analysis shows that: the robot can avoid obstacles with a better security path to solve the problems of mobile robot intelligent obstacle avoidance. Through the comparison results, we can also find that the design of mobile avoidance obstacle system has a good navigation effect s because of its advanced characteristics of adaptability, stability and robustness.
