A marine vessel platform is fitted with sensors and equipments of diverse origin which are required to work in tandem in order to enhance its operation capability. However, due to incompatibilities in the data formats and protocols that are used, these equipments/ sensors cannot be integrated directly. As the systems available are a mixture of digital and analog types, this paper details the design and development of Embedded Interfacing Solution for interfacing of Digital and Resolver type systems for transmission of An embedded interfacing board was using Cadence OrCAD proprietary subsequently implemented using 8051, Digital to Resolver converter modules, low power operational amplifiers and other required components. This electronic embedded interfacing board converts the digital input containing heading angle into Analog Resolver type of output. This was tested using simulated heading angle created with the help of COM Port Toolkit software application and the output of this embedded interfacing solution was measured on Angle Position Indicator (API) and with the help of Oscilloscope.

The rapid growth of electronic devices depending on the internet has solved many problems that the humans were facing. The major challenge is “To transmit secure data over the network and to assure its confidentiality, integrity and availability”. The solution is to transfer encrypted data over the network to prevent its unauthorized identification, modification, destruction etc. A new proposed encryption and decryption algorithm has been designed in this paper, in which the data is mathematically scrambled to a form such that the original data is surrounded by a set of randomly generated alphabets. The encrypted format is based on the collection of ASCII codes. This form is used to transfer the data over the insecure network channels.

In this paper, Low-Density Parity-Check Code is used to deal with the error occurred due to fiber impairment. The Low-Density Parity-Check code is most widely used over the other Forward Error Correction codes in optical communication now-a-day. In this paper, the encoding process of LDPC code is given. To convert the encoded data into optical pulses, ASK modulation is used. Nonlinear effect and dispersion adversely affect the signal in the optical channel. The nonlinearity of optical guided channel is represented by Non-linear Schrodinger Equation. For solving the Non-linear Schrodinger Equation, Split-Step Fourier Method is used due to simple computational step.

In this paper, a single-phase two-stage zero-voltage-transition zero-current-transition pulse-width-modulation power-factor-correction (ZVT-ZCT-PWM-PFC) AC/DC boost converter with active snubber cell is presented, which can be interfaced with micro-hydro power plant and can be used for telecommunication, data center, and commercial building applications. Snubber cell facilitate all semiconductor switches to undergo soft-switching for every switching period. Proposed Converter operates in continuous-conduction-mode (CCM) and uses average current control scheme for PFC. Nearly unity-power-factor (UPF) operation is achieved for wide range of load. Design and analysis of a ZVT-ZCT-PWM PFC boost converter rated at 1 kW, output voltage 400 V, operating at 100 kHz, fed from AC voltage of 230 V RMS is presented. Proposed schematic is simulated in PSIM 9.0 and simulation results are provided. An efficiency of 97.8% and power factor above 0.998 is achieved at nominal power.

Cloud computing is a new paradigm to deliver services over the Internet. Data Security is the most critical issues in a cloud computing environment. Authentication is a key technology for information security, which is a mechanism to establish proof of identities to get access of information in the system. Traditional password authentication does not provide enough security for information in cloud computing environment to the most modern means of attacks. In this paper, we propose a new multi-factor authentication framework for cloud computing. The proposed framework provides a feasible and a most efficient mechanism which can closely integrate with the traditional authentication system.The proposed framework is verified by developing Cloud Access Management (CAM) system which authenticates the user based on multiple factors. Also using secret-splitting and encrypted value of arithmetic captcha is innovative factor for user authentication for cloud computing environment. Prototype model for cloud computing own cloud server is implemented using open sources technology. The proposed framework shows the close agreement with the standard criteria for security.

In this paper we will discuss the emerging application of “low-power” computing in bio-medical systems, both for ultra-low-energy and low heat producing embedded implantable devices, as well as for low power dissipation but high performance embedded computing platforms which process the large data sets collected from the sensors and implants in realtime. We will discuss the power and real-time performance requirements of the embedded platforms. We will outline the path to developing and analyzing bio-medical benchmark suite and identify the computational and data characteristics of a selected application - both for implantable devices and for external portable data processing platforms. This paper will also include an in-depth look at available simulation and design space exploration tools for different processor micro-architectures which can be used to design the green bio-medical computation platform.
