Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a non-destructive detection technology. With the development of radar technology, new requirements are placed on the performance of GPR. By analyzing the shortcomings of traditional GPR that can only transmit specific pulses, a pulse-controllable GPR transmitter scheme based on JESD204B communication protocol is proposed and a prototype is produced. The performance of GPR is improved from two aspects: detection scene and detection accuracy. The feasibility of the design is proved by experiments.

In vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET), Inter-Vehicle real-time information access and transfer is the key problem to solving or reducing traffic accidents. It is possible to locate and track a vehicle based on its transmissions, during communication with other vehicles or the road-side infrastructure. On the basis of vehicle active safety technology, this paper proposed a new message broadcast mechanism based on inter-vehicle communication which replaces the original model using ranging sensors to judge the safety of vehicles, by real-time information collection and transmission to inform other vehicles the state of the vehicle neighborhood, and to make risk judgments and warning drivers to effectively prevent accidents.

Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is a robust stochastic evolutionary computation technique based on the movement and intelligence of swarm, which is very easy to understand and implement. In order to overcome the drawbacks of standard PSO, some improved mechanisms based on the design of a novel formula for velocity updating, and global best perturbation are adopted. The simulation results of sidelobe reduction of 2-D array show that it is effective.
