In this paper, the influence of intersection of frequency spectrum on ultra wide band (UWB) radar receiver is analyzed, corresponding to which a novel method of designing filterbank based on the minimum variance criterion in frequency domain is presented. And a specific filterbank with flat passband, narrow transient band and deep stopband attenuation is designed. When utilized in UWB radar receiver, the spectrum aliasing of the input signal can be reduced without increasing the sampling rate of A/D. Moreover, the input signal can be reconstructed perfectly in real time.
