The issues of input–output finite-time stability and stabilization of Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems with time-varying state delay and exogenous input signal are studied in this article. For the stabilization process, a controller that does not share the same membership functions as the system is considered and the state feedback is quantized by using a logarithmic quantizer. The desired stability criterion for the addressed fuzzy system is first derived without the control term. It is then extended to the case in which the proposed controller is present. The stability criteria are given in the form of matrix inequalities, which are supported by the augmented Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, generalized free-weighting-matrix approach and Finsler’s lemma. Moreover, as a special case, an asymptotic stability criterion is obtained and used in a comparative study. As a result, the time-delay interval is much larger than some of the works published very recently, which is due to the augmented Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional construction. In this brief, non-fragile fault alarm-based hybrid control design for the attitude quadrotor model with actuator saturation is developed. Specifically, the fault alarm-based signal is proposed based on the alarm threshold value to timely alert the controller to switch from the robust controller to fault-tolerant controller. More precisely, with the aid of extended Wirtinger’s integral inequality and new double integral inequality, a new set of stability conditions with delay-dependent terms in the form of linear matrix inequalities is derived to achieve the desired attitude performance of the quadrotor. At last, the efficiency of the developed theoretical result is validated by presenting the simulation result for the quadrotor model and also clearly shows the timely alert performance of the designed alarm signal to restrain the system stability. This brief focuses on finite-time stabilization of a four-dimensional fractional-order hyperchaotic system via reliable resilient controller. The stability theory of Lyapunov and the optimization technique based on linear matrix inequality are combined together to establish a reliable feedback controller which guarantees finite-time boundedness of the considered system affected by actuator failures, gain fluctuations and parametric uncertainties. Finally, the simulation results, demonstrates that the proposed control design scheme is an effective one. The objective of this brief is to focus on the problem of output tracking control for a class of fractional-order positive switched systems via an observer-based controller method that combines equivalent-input-disturbance approach and Smith predictor. By employing Lyapunov theory together with average dwell-time approach, a new exponential stability criterion is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities for the resulting closed-loop system. Based on the derived delay-dependent criterion, a design method of the proposed controller is then presented. The designed controller can assure that the output signals of the system trace the specified reference signals within the preferred neighborhood of the equilibrium. Furthermore, the solvability inclusive conditions for the proposed controller design of the considered system are established according to the state being available or not. Numerical simulation results are provided to demonstrate the strong disturbance rejection capability and the superiority of the proposed control design method over some existing ones. The first results on the induced ${l_\infty }$ receding horizon (RH) finite impulse response (FIR) filtering were obtained by Ahn for a nonsingular system matrix without consideration of external control input, which limited the area of applications. This brief discusses a new design condition for the induced ${l_\infty }$ RH FIR filter applied to model with an arbitrary system matrix and external control input. Based upon this result, a correspondence is found between the induced ${l_\infty }$ RH FIR filter and the ${H_\infty }$ RH FIR filter. Higher robustness of the proposed filter against uncertainties in the system matrix is shown in a comparison with the existing induced ${l_\infty }$ RH filter, which has an infinite impulse response. This brief investigates the problem of passivity-based resilient sampled-data control for Markovian jump systems subject to actuator faults via an adaptive fault-tolerant mechanism. By constructing a proper Lyapunov function, a set of sufficient conditions is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which ensures that the closed-loop system is stochastically passive. In order to reflect the imprecision in controller, the additive gain variations is considered. Then, the resilient sampled-data control parameters can be determined by solving the obtained LMIs.
