Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a chronic developmental disorder afflicting patients in their early formative years. Without a definitive cure, children can experience a spectrum of symptoms from difficulties with communication, social interaction, and obsessive/repetitive behaviour. These symptoms affect the children’s opportunities to experience and learn ideas and concepts, unlike their peers. With assisted learning and therapy, children with Autism can become independent members of society. The proposed system contributes to the child’s learning curriculum by offering education attractively and entertainingly. The premise of a smartphone or a tablet as the only hardware requirement breeds familiarity with the user and promotes comfort when utilizing the application. The system consists of an application that renders augmented reality objects onto the device screen when the camera module recognizes target objects in the frame. The application processes target information using the Vuforia Engine by scanning the images of the video stream for targets. The target is either an image or three-dimensional object stored locally in a database. The application can identify and process multiple targets to render a combination of text, image, audio, video, and three-dimensional objects. The application’s ease of usage combined with immersion provides a conducive environment for learning concepts and subjects of various fields.

Abstract

Stargardt disease is also called Stargardt macular dystrophy, juvenile macular degeneration. The disease causes the macula to gradually weaken or degenerate, which is a small area in the center of the retina responsible for sharp, straight-ahead view. There is no remedy or treatment for this disease. Physicians, however, also recommend that people wear sun glasses in the sun and places where the light is bright. Diagnosis of this disease will take more days but we can diagnose the disease in a matter of minutes by comparing the unaffected eye to affected eye using automated algorithm and advanced histogram technique We plan to use LABVIEW tools to incorporate this technique.

Abstract

The proposed project aims to develop a portable embedded system to avoid burglary on vehicles. The complete prototype is designed on a single chip which is very simple and cost effective. Our proposed prototype compressed of a 32-bit microcontroller, SIM900A GPS/GSM Module, sensors and transducers. The prototype is fixed inside the engine part of transport with proper shielding. A android based mobile application is developed in order to track the movement of vehicles even though the key ignition were ON/OFF state. During burglary of vehicles, the owner can deactivate engine vehicles ignition then consecutively owner can lock the gear panel, ABS brakes can also be locked if necessary. Later with the usage of SIM900A GPS/GSM module, current latitude and longitude value are fetched and the same locations are transferred via SMS (Short Message Service) to the owners mobile. The complete prototype is designed on a single chip which is very simple and cost effective.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN)is a predominant technology that is widely used in many applications such as industrial sectors, defense, environment, habitat monitoring, medical fields etc., These applications are habitually delegated for observing sensitive and confidential raw data such as adversary position, movement in the battle field, location of personnel in a building, changes in environmental condition, regular medical updates from patient side to doctors or hospital control rooms etc., Security becomes inevitable in WSN and providing security is being truly intricate because of in-built nature of WSN which is assailable to attacks easily. Node involved in WSN need to route the data to the neighboring nodes wherein any attack in the node could lead to fiasco. Of late trust mechanisms have been considered to be an ideal solution that can mitigate security problems in WSN. This paper aims to investigate various existing trust-based Secure Routing (SR) protocols and mechanisms available for the wireless sensing connection. The concept of the present trust mechanism is also analyzed with respect to methodology, trust metric, pros, cons, and complexity involved. Finally, the security resiliency of various trust models against the attacks is also analyzed.
