Infrastructure-as-Code can be designed, developed, and managed with an Open-Source Software approach. While openly embraced by academia, the OSS philosophy typically elicits some skepticism among industrial partners who want to ensure that adopting it will not enable their market competitors or harm them in any way, like by releasing valuable intellectual property into the wild. In this paper, we study this phenomenon from the perspective of game theory, to then draw conclusions on what information to share, when, why, how, and with whom, so that risks are minimized, and benefits are maximized for each, and every partner engaged in IaC-focused collaborative projects that make use of an OSS approach.

In connection with a transfer of noise and vibrations into the internal space (interior) and external space (surroundings) of a vehicle, the acoustics are regarded as a construction component part of the development of vehicles. There is a growing emphasis placed the acoustic comfort. While the pragmatic, material and functional criteria had been crucial in the past, the emotional and feeling demands or wishes of a vehicle user are important today. The high level of a vehicle drive overall comfort is of a crucial importance for the occupants of the vehicle from the point of view of the drive comfort. Authors of the paper highlights the importance of acoustics for the drive comfort of the vehicle occupants from the point of view of the drive comfort perception. Authors emphasize the importance of acoustics for the drive comfort of vehicle occupants, noise-related statutory requirements, the conceptual conditions and they present the typical sources of vehicle sound.

Public interest in recycling has increased significantly over the past 15 years. This concern was initiated by several factors, such as concerns about increased waste production, the loss of landfill capacity, air pollution from waste incineration as well as the general recognition of the need for environmental protection. The authors of the article focused on the possibility of implementation of separate collection using underground containers. At the same time, the principles of separate collection in the European Union countries, in the Slovak Republic and in the city of Kosice are analyzed. The authors designed a separate collection system and the logistics of the collection itself using underground containers. The proposal was processed for the city of Kosice and its city district Kosice KVP. The advantages and economic benefits of the present method of separate collection are presented.

The features of the computer-aided design process are considered. A model of processes in CAD based on the modification of Petri nets is presented. A discrete event model of a typical design procedure is described.

The problem of the analysis of project documentation are considered. Various ways of presenting documentation are described. The task of finding frequent subgraphs is presented. An algorithm for searching for documentation based on the search for frequent subgraphs is proposed.

The article deals with exploitation of online and printed versions of tests in the field of scientific reasoning and metacognitive monitoring. The main objective is to prove whether results in both administration modes of testing are identical. However, designing online tests is less time and work demanding, and moreover, automatic evaluation tools can be used. Totally, 115 students were tested by Lawson's test. The received results were discussed with emphasis on designers of educational and curricular concepts of the pre-service teacher education, particularly reflecting students' low level of scientific reasoning and high value of absolute accuracy which indicates high level of inaccuracy in confidence judgement of their own performance compared to the real situation.

The problem of project optimization is considered. Description of the algorithm of the bee colony is presented in the article. Comparison of solutions of several heuristic algorithms is presented.

The problems of reconfiguration of CAD system architecture are analyzed. The concepts of adaptive architecture of Computer-Aided Design system are represented. System of basic operating units of the CAD process is offered.

A new software toolbox QWTB is presented. It aims for aggregation of high-quality algorithms required for data processing of sampled measurements. Algorithms include frequency, amplitude and phase estimators, stability quantifiers, flicker calculator etc. The toolbox unifies and simplifies user interface of algorithms and an example for every algorithm is included to help understanding. The toolbox is open-source and an addition of new algorithms is very easy thus the toolbox can be extended by anyone. The software is written in MATLAB® code and is also executable in GNU Octave. Graphical user interface and link to LabVIEW is also provided.

This paper describes a simple, affordable and easily replicable 10 Ω resistance standard with calculable frequency dependence and time constant. The resistor is a bifilar type made from an enameled manganin wire. A time constant of 6.05 ns with uncertainty of 0.53 ns was calculated and verified by comparison with another calculable resistance standard. A calculated and measured ac-dc difference of a resistance is smaller than −150μΩ/Ω with an uncertainty 270μΩ/Ω at 1 MHz (coverage factor k = 2). The same design can be used for resistances at least in range of 5 Ω up to 70 Ω.

This paper describes an investigation of single junction thermal converters (SJTC) resulting in development of a primary standard of ac-dc current difference. Frequency characteristic of the primary standard was determined by special measurement methods (low frequency method, fast reversed dc) and by a lumped element model calculation. Comparison of reference thermal converter (TC) calibrated outside CMI and new primary standard showed agreement better than 3 μΑ/Α in ac-dc current transfer difference at frequencies up to 1 MHz.

This paper describes a universal digital sampling setup for measurement of a complex voltage ratio. The setup was primarily designed for calibration of a phase angle error of current shunts, but it can be used for calibration of wide range of impedance standards in full complex plane. The setup allows calibration of impedances down to submegaohm range with compare currents up to 10 A and frequencies up to 100 kHz. The setup was also successfully used for comparison of inductive voltage dividers with ratio uncertainty approximately 1 $\mu \text{V/V}$ . Achieved expanded uncertainties are a few microvolts per volt for near unity voltage ratio and up to 35 $\mu \text{V/V}$ for voltage ratio 1:10 at 100 kHz. The phase uncertainty is below 1 $\mu $ rad at 1 kHz and below 50 $\mu $ rad at 100 kHz for ratio 1:10 (confidence level 95 %). Due to the used signal processing techniques, the setup can be used to measure complex voltage ratio even with just a few millivolt voltages at the inputs.

This paper describes a construction of the high current shunts of cage design up to 100 A based on known model. Investigation of dependence of their dc resistance and frequency characteristic on current level is presented and followed by improvement of the high current shunts design using active cooling.

The Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) simulator is presented in this paper. The aim of the simulator is to calculate the uncertainty of a PMU by means of the Monte Carlo method. A whole measurement chain is modeled in the simulator, including a transducer, a digitizer and a synchrophasor estimating algorithm. As an example of results of the simulator a total vector error of the modeled PMU is shown together with calculated uncertainty.

This paper describes digital sampling bridge for impedance measurement up to few tens of kHz in four terminal pair definition. It is primarily dedicated for low impedance measurements with comparison currents over 10 A however it can be used at least up to few tens of kΩ as well. Achieved uncertainty for near unity impedance ratio is few μΩ/Ω and the phase angle uncertainty at 1 kHz is few μrad (coverage factor k = 2). Due to the used signal processing method the bridge can be used even for sub-10mV voltage drops on the standards.

Network analysis provides an effective practical system for planning and controlling large projects in construction and many other fields. The purpose of the Critical Path Method (CPM) is to identify critical activities on the critical path so that resources may be concentrated on these activities in order to reduce project length time. In this paper, original CPM is compared with the other methods: modified Dijkstra's algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Simulated Annealing (SA) algorithm, Genetic algorithm (GA).

The paper is dedicated to the usage of project management methodology in computer-aided design process. Special tools are introduced, their usage in computer-aided design is validated.

Cherenkov imaging counters requiring large photosensitive areas, the capability to stand high rates and to operate in magnetic field environments could benefit from the use of micropattern gas detectors based on THick Gaseous Electron Multiplier (THGEM) coupled to a solid state CsI photo-cathode. Nevertheless, the ions produced in the charge multiplication processes, which end up in the CsI photocathode Ion Back Flow (IBF) compromise the detector performance: fast ageing of the CsI photocathode, as well as electron extraction resulting in spurious signals and eventual discharges can occur. To avoid and limit these undesired events, several configurations of THGEM based detectors were considered. Some changing the whole detector geometry by changing the relative position of individual THGEMs to take advantage of the microscopic diffusion properties of electrons and ions. One other configuration changing directly the geometry of the THGEM itself to better create an ion trap, the THCOBRA, is also studied. In this work, experimental and simulation studies of these configurations is performed, particularly concerning IBF and gain. Finite element method calculations and Monte-Carlo simulations are performed for a better understanding of the results.
