The searching for artefacts in video sequences is realized to find objects which can cause false detection of cilia's movement. The motion in video sequence can be generated by cilia of respiratory epithelium as well as by some artefacts, e.g. red blood cells, air bubbles or dead cells of the respiratory epithelium. Removal of artefacts causing false detections of movement is an important task when the motion area is evaluated. This article deals with the procedures and methods which enable searching and removing such artefacts that may cause incorrect detection of moving area. The effectiveness of pattern matching for artefacts detections in four most typical videos is finally compared and evaluated in results paragraph.
