Abstract

Aiming at the dynamic problems caused by the ultra-high speed impact of tiny debris on the large-aperture space deployable antenna, as well as a deeper understanding of the dynamic characteristics of the large-aperture antenna when it works in orbit, the dynamic characteristics of deployable antenna are analyzed. Firstly, ANSYS finite element simulation software is used to establish a spatial deployable antenna structure model to simulate various working environments of the antenna structure in space. Secondly, the dynamic characteristics of the antenna structure are obtained by the modal analysis of the antenna structure using the subspace method. Thirdly, the dynamic response of the antenna structure and the damage state of the key components under the impact of different impact velocities are studied respectively. The results show that the antenna structure has the characteristics of low stiffness, large flexible amplitude, low frequency and small self-damping. In the design of deployable antenna structure, corresponding improvement measures can be given to improve the stiffness and durability of the structure. The dynamic analysis of the space deployable antenna structure provides a theoretical basis for optimizing the dynamic characteristics of the structure and improving the working performance of the structure, and also provides a favorable reference for the design of the large aperture space deployable antenna structure.

Abstract

In order to meet the requirements of the development trend of large aperture space deployable antenna, based on the characteristics of cellular structure, a configuration scheme of support mechanism for hexagonal prism modular deployable antenna is proposed. The topological law of the module is studied, and the configuration design is carried out. Then the multi module kinematic model is established, and the numerical simulation analysis is carried out. The experiment results show that the deployable antenna support mechanism can be successfully deployed in many deployment tests, and there is no jamming fault, which indicates that the mechanism configuration principle and design structure scheme are feasible. The research results provide a reference for other types of deployable antenna mechanism.

Abstract

To solve the problem of multi-module precise connection of support mechanism for modular space deployable antenna, a topology networking method is proposed. According to the general requirements of deployable antenna mesh surface, the composition and deployment principle of deployable antenna mechanism are analyzed. Based on the basic theories of differential geometry, analytical geometry and robotics, the geometric models of envelope circle from the first layer to the fifth layer are established respectively, and the modeling rules of geometric model for multi-layer envelope circle are analyzed, thus spatial geometry model of the deployable antenna meeting the requirements of large-scale development is constructed. On this basis, the influence relationships among spherical radius, envelope circle radius and module layers, and other parameters are analyzed respectively. Finally, the correctness of the model is validated with the numerical simulation software MATLAB, and the validation results show that the method can achieve accurate connection of multiple modules.

Abstract

In order to study the influence of temperature on the structure of deployable antenna, a dynamic analysis method was proposed. ANSYS finite element software was used to establish the modular space deployable antenna support truss structure model, subspace method was used to conduct modal analysis of the space deployable support truss structure, the natural frequency and mode of the structure was obtained. At the same time, the temperature environment of the deployable antenna in orbit is simulated, the deflection of the structure at 100 temperature is analyzed, and the deflection diagram of the support truss structure at 100 temperature is obtained. The results show that temperature has a great influence on the deflection of the antenna structure, and corresponding measures should be taken to reduce the influence of temperature on the deflection of the antenna structure during the design of deployable antenna. The dynamic analysis method proposed in this paper can provide reference for other truss deployable antenna structures.

Abstract

Classical fuzzy rough set often uses fuzzy rough dependency as an evaluation function of feature selection. However, this function only retains the maximum membership degree of a sample to one decision class, it cannot describe the classification error. Therefore, in this article, a novel criterion function for feature selection is proposed to overcome this weakness. To characterize the classification error rate, we first introduce a class of irreflexive and symmetric fuzzy binary relations to redefine the concepts of fuzzy rough approximations. Then, we propose a novel concept of dependency: inner product dependency to describe the classification error and construct a criterion function to evaluate the importance of candidate features. The proposed criterion function not only can maintain a maximum dependency function, but also guarantees the minimum classification error. The experimental analysis shows that the proposed criterion function is effective for datasets with a large overlap between different categories. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Temporal multiplexed fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing system for detecting physical parameters with a high spatial resolution is desirable for applications such as structure health monitoring, oil and gas exploration, geophysical research, etc. However, due to the trade-off between bandwidth and sensitivity of the linear photodetection, the wavelength resolution of dense temporally multiplexed FBG sensing system is severely affected under a spatial resolution of centimeters. In this paper, we propose and demonstrate a dense temporal multiplexed FBG sensing scheme with single-photon detection at 1.5 μm. A proof-of-principle demonstration is implemented by using three FBG sensors spliced along a piece of fiber. The spatial resolution can reach 5.0 cm which is determined by a time jitter of superconducting nanowire single-photon detector and a pulse width of laser. In our experiment, by using the dual-wavelength differential detection method, a wavelength resolution of 0.5 pm over a range of 550 pm is obtained with a corresponding temperature resolution of 0.05 °C, which could be further improved to 0.01 °C by increasing the repetition rate of laser pulse. Abstract

In order to meet the development requirements of the large-scale space deployable antenna, the analysis and research on the topological characteristics of truss structure for modular deployable truss antenna are carried out, and the space equal envelope circle method is proposed. According to the general requirements of the working surface configuration of the deployable antenna, the structural composition and characteristics of the module are analyzed, and the geometric relationship between the number of envelope circles and the number of module layers and the total number of modules is established. Based on the basic theories of differential geometry and robotics, the geometric models of the central layer envelope circle, the second layer envelope circle and the third layer envelope circle are established respectively. The space geometry model of deployable antenna structure is constructed to meet the three-layer topology requirements. Finally, a numerical example is used to verify the geometric model, and the correctness of the model is proved. The topological method of deployable antenna structure proposed in this paper provides reference for the research of basic theory of deployable antenna and large-scale engineering application.

Abstract

In order to enhance the dynamic performance of the output voltage regulation for wound rotor synchronous machine (WRSM) in the aircraft variable frequency (VF) power system, the fuzzy PI multi-loop control strategy is proposed. Traditional voltage control method is not easy to achieve the dynamic performance and stability requirements of the VFAC generation system under wide speed, so the fuzzy PI algorithm, load current feedback and speed feedback are added to the voltage and excitation current double loop. This new voltage regulation strategy can compensate the load fluctuation by load current feedback and change the initial parameters of the fuzzy PI algorithm by speed feedback to keep the stability of the VF power system. The mathematical model of the WRSM is analyzed and the aircraft VFAC generation system model is established in Simulink. The simulation results indicate that the fuzzy PI multi-loop control strategy has better dynamic performance than traditional voltage control method under different speed and load conditions.

19. Optimal Multi-Objective Cell Balancing for Battery Packs with Quadratic Programming

Abstract

Bidirectional modified Buck converters are utilized as equalizing circuits for cell balancing in serially connected battery packs. The cell balancing system for a serially connected battery pack is modeled as a multi-agent system here. The cells are considered as agents and the converters connecting the cells are treated as edges. A quadratic programming algorithm is designed to equalize the cells’ SoCs. The optimal multi-objective balancing algorithm is proposed to reduce the balancing time. To remedy such deficiencies, a quadratic programming algorithm with equalizing current saturation constraints is proposed to make the converters work together efficiently to achieve the cells’ state of charge (SoC) equalization. Simulation results demonstrate that the cells’ SoC differences can fast converge to 0 with the designed algorithm.
