The article is focused on control system design based on multiplexed data bus (namely, MIL-STD-1553). Being applicable to a variety of industrials designs like aircraft its usage for vehicle electrics control has not been investigated so far. A novel approach to vehicle electrics control system design is supported by a working prototype AVELPOL (Automotive Electronics Polytech, acronym is structured in Russian). The division of vehicle systems into informational and control subsystems allows to design them independently and makes it possible to apply high-speed interfaces (like Ethernet) for multimedia transfer. A comparative study of existing automotive systems (CAN, LIN, FlexRay) reveals that the proposed solution holds the functionality of conventional systems and provides a number of additional significant improvements in hardware and software architecture, like high unification of both, high noise immunity, dependability and maintainability.
