In the era of cloud computing, massive quantities of data are encrypted and uploaded to the cloud to realize a variety of applications and services while protecting user confidentiality. Accordingly, the formulation of methods for efficiently searching encrypted data has become a critical problem. Public-key encryption with keyword search is an efficient solution that allows the data owner to generate encrypted keywords for a given document while also allowing the data user to generate the corresponding trapdoor for searching. Huang and Li proposed a public-key authenticated encryption with keyword search (PAEKS) scheme to resist keyword guessing attacks, where the data owner not only encrypts keywords but also authenticates them. However, existing PAEKS-related schemes carry a tradeoff between efficiency, storage cost, and security. In this article, we introduce a novel framework called identity-certifying authority-aided identity-based searchable encryption, which has the advantage of reducing storage space while remaining the efficiency and security. We formally define the system model and desired security requirements to represent attacks in a real scenario. In addition, we propose a provably secure scheme based on the gap bilinear Diffie–Hellman assumption and experimentally evaluate our scheme in terms of its performance and theoretical features against its state-of-the-art counterparts. Hashtag is an important advertising tool and a must-have feature for social media nowadays. In the past, many hashtag recommendation methods have been proposed from different perspectives of images, texts, and users. However, most previous works consider neither the mutual influence between multi-modalities, nor the visual similarity between images. In this paper, we devise a novel model, named Triplet-Attention Graph Network (TAGNet). The rationale behind our method is that visually similar images share some common hashtags. Therefore, we build an image graph, and apply a new Aggregated Graph Convolution (AGC) module to propagate information in a collective way. Furthermore, it is noted that text and user also have rich content information within posts, and we hence propose a Triplet Attention (TA) module to incorporate multi-modalities into node features. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) consists of two basic functions. One is the object detection for preventing vehicles from hitting pedestrians or other obstacles. The other is image segmentation for recognizing drivable areas and guiding the vehicle forward. For the latter, unlike those traditional image segmentation methods, image semantic segmentation based on deep learning architecture can handle the irregularly shaped road areas better, guiding a vehicle to drive in a more complex environment. With the popularity of Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs) in recent year, the traditional hand-crafted features methods have shown to be outperformed. However, deep CNN models are difficult to implement on vehicle application because the severe cost of time for complex processing. Although some proposed methods, such as Efficient neural network (Enet), achieved higher speed by removing some layers, it also led to the decrease of segmentation accuracy. In this research work, we propose a novel semantic segmentation network, Edgenet, which contains a class-aware edge loss module and a channel-wise attention mechanism, aiming to improve the accuracy with no harm to inference speed. We evaluate Edgenet on Cityscapes dataset, which is the most challenging and authoritative on-road semantic segmentation dataset. The results show that our proposed method can achieve over 70% mean IOU on Cityscapes test set and run at over 30 FPS in a single GTX Titan X (Maxwell) GPU. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We present a dual-chiplet interposer-based system-in-package (SiP) octo-core processor using Chip-on-Wafer-on-Substrate (CoWoS) technology. Each of the two identical chiplets is implemented in 7-nm CMOS with 15 metal layers and has four Arm Cortex-A72 processor cores operating at 4.0 GHz. A bidirectional mesh bus with 2-mm flop-to-flop distance is distributed throughout the chiplet for high-speed on-die data transport above 4.0 GHz. The chiplets communicate with each other through ultrashort reach (0.5 mm long) interposer channels using a Low-voltage-In-Package-INterCONnect (LIPINCON) clock-forwarded parallel interface. The scalable link module offers 320 GB/s of aggregate bandwidth, operating at 8.0 Gb/s/pin and 0.3-V transmitter swing without receiver termination to achieve 0.56-pJ/bit energy efficiency and 1.6-Tb/s/mm2 bandwidth density. Measurements of the fabricated SiP validate the functionality and performance of the cores, on-die data bus, and inter-chiplet link. Visual cryptography (VC) is a variant form of secret sharing. In general threshold setting, the k -out-of- n VC allows that, in a set of n participants, any k can recover and reconstruct the secret by stacking their shares. Recently, the notion of multiple-secret VC has been introduced to embed multiple secrets. Region incrementing visual cryptography (RIVC) is referred to as a new type of multi-secret VC. RIVC defines s layers and takes and L_{2},L_{3} in two-out-of-three RIVC, where any two participants in L_{2} can recover S2 and three in L3 can recover S2,S3 . However, there is another multi-secret VC, called fully incrementing visual cryptography (FIVC), which also has the layers, but only one secret Si will reveal in one layer Li . In this paper, our stating point is to propose a new notion of non-monotonic visual cryptography (NVC) for human vision system as a primitive to construct FIVC. We first present an ideal construction of simple NVC, which relies on a slightly unreasonable assumption. Based on the simple NVC, we show a few methods to extend the functionality for complicated cases of NVC. Then, the generic construction is presented as a systematic manner to eliminate the above-mentioned assumption. Finally, we formally introduce a transformation NVC-to-FIVC algorithm, which takes NVC as input and then produce a construction of FIVC. Also, show a demonstration the NVC-to-RIVC algorithm, and analyze some properties regarding NVC. Nowadays, mobile devices have become a ubiquitous medium supporting various forms of functionality and are widely accepted for commons. In this study, we investigate using Wi-Fi logs from a mobile device to discover user preferences. The core ideas are two folds. First, every Wi-Fi access point is with a network name, normally a human-readable string, called SSID (Service Set Identifier). Since SSIDs are often with semantics, from which we can infer the place where the user stayed. Second, a Wi-Fi log is produced when the user is near a Wi-Fi access point. A high frequency of a consecutively observed SSID implies a long stay duration at a place. To the best of our knowledge, our work is the first attempting to understand users from the collected Wi-Fi logs from mobile devices. However, Wi-Fi logs are essentially of various information types and with noises. How to assess the information types, eliminate irrelevant information, and clean up the noises within partial-informative SSIDs are therefore keys for profiling user preferences over Wi-Fi logs. In this paper, we propose a data cleaning and information enrichment framework for enabling the user preference understanding through collected Wi-Fi logs, and introduce a data clean framework for cleaning, correcting, and refining Wi-Fi logs. In addition, a comprehensive experiment with data collected from users is made to verify the effectiveness of the proposed techniques for cleaning noisy Wi-Fi data for user preferences profiling. We present a design of electret-based soft cell actuators which can improve the performance of flexible electret loudspeakers. Electret loudspeakers have advantages over traditional speakers such being thin, lightweight and flexible. They have potential application to 4C products (e.g. computers, communication, consumer electronics, and cars). Flexible electret loudspeakers are composed of an array of small cell actuators. The first mode of each electret cell actuator greatly affects the low frequency of an electret loudspeaker. To tailor the bandwidth of an electret loudspeaker for different applications, the shape and size of each cell actuator can be varied according to the specific requirements. A finite element analysis (FEA) model was used to simulate a vibration mode. An AVIDTM (advanced vibrometer/interferometer device) system and ESPI (electronic speckle pattern interferometry) system were two non-destructive optical detection tools used to detect vibration and the corresponding vibration mode shape of the electret cell actuators, respectively. Our experimental results verified the simulated results. We showed that finite element analysis (FEA) can be used to design flexible loudspeakers. We can tailor the sound characteristics of an electret loudspeaker by varying the size and shape of cell actuators such that flexible electret loudspeaker performance can be dramatically improved. In this paper, electret based actuators were developed to create a novel free-form loudspeaker. The flexible electret actuator sheet can be easily mass produced in roll or sheet form for good cost efficiency. Compared to the rigid structure of traditional electret actuators, this novel loudspeaker structure is not only thin, flexible, and lightweight at 685 grams/m2, but also it can be cut into any shape to fit various applications and requirements. The free-form electret loudspeaker is composed of centimeter-scale cell electret actuators which possess a bandwidth from 550 Hz to 55 kHz. To demonstrate the benefits of this new technology, a large area loudspeaker was created by joining by 350 pieces of B4-sized electret actuator sheets to create a projection screen 9 m (L) x 3.5 m (W) x 1.1 mm (H). The frequency response of the loudspeaker was measured to have a nearly flat response between 500 Hz and 4 kHz with less than 6% total harmonic distortion (THD) between 400 Hz and 6 kHz. The capacitance value (1.1 μF) of the loudspeaker was limited only by the current capability of the amplifier in the high frequency range. Another creation was a loudspeaker made of over 200 leaf-shaped electret actuator sheets. This unique flexible loudspeaker design was displayed and demonstrated at a year-long public exhibition. Visual cryptography (VC), proposed by Naor and Shamir, has numerous applications, including visual authentication and identification, steganography, and image encryption. In 2006, Horng showed that cheating is possible in VC, where some participants can deceive the remaining participants by forged transparencies. Since then, designing cheating-prevention visual secret-sharing (CPVSS) schemes has been studied by many researchers. An electromechanically actuated electret-based loudspeaker made with an organic material membrane is presented, which is small in volume, extremely thin, and lightweight for light vehicle applications. As obtaining good sound quality in a vehicle is a complicated and difficult task, the electrostatic thin-film actuator can be cut into any shape and then assembled into an electret-based loudspeaker for placement at any location within the vehicle. The sound field in a vehicle can be optimized by properly tailoring the electret-based loudspeaker performance and choosing the most appropriate location for the loudspeaker for optimal sound performance. In addition, it is possible to design a novel 3-D sound field. Our newly fabricated 100-mm-by-100-mm electret loudspeaker weighs only 4 g and is 1 mm thick. It only consumes 0.15 mW to generate a sound pressure level at 88 dB at 1 kHz, which is very energy efficient for electric car applications. In summary, our newly flexible electret-based loudspeaker has tremendous potential for future automotive applications due to its excellent advantages over current vehicle loudspeakers.
