Rewinding machines are used in the paper converting industrial sector to unroll paper veils from large source reels and wind them around smaller rolls, for the production of paper logs to be used in household activities. Many different types of rewinding machine exist, and they are mostly based on stapling devices which automatically unroll a large coil of paper, roll it up around a new log, stop the veil allowing it to be torn off, unload the completed paper log, and reload a new paper core to be rolled up. Winding units generally include a primary and a secondary roller, supplying the desired rotational speed for winding, and a pressure unit consisting of a pressure roller in contact with the paper log being rolled up, which assures adequate containment and avoids the paper log to escape. All known systems have some mechanical limitations, mainly due to the contact of the pressure roller with the paper log, causing instabilities and vibrations, particularly when working with soft paper veils. This limits the maximum possible winding speed. The aim of this paper is it to present a detailed kinematic analysis of a novel pressure unit which overcomes the aforementioned limitation.

Diffusion equations with Riemann–Liouville fractional derivatives are Volterra integro-partial differential equations with weakly singular kernels and present fundamental challenges for numerical computation. In this paper, we make a convergence analysis of the Schwarz waveform relaxation (SWR) algorithms with Robin transmission conditions (TCs) for these problems. We focus on deriving good choice of the parameter involved in the Robin TCs, at the continuous and fully discretized level. Particularly, at the space-time continuous level, we show that the derived Robin parameter is much better than the one predicted by the well-understood equioscillation principle. At the fully discretized level, the problem of determining a good Robin parameter is studied in the convolution quadrature framework, which permits us to precisely capture the effects of different temporal discretization methods on the convergence rate of the SWR algorithms. The results obtained in this paper will be preliminary preparations for our further study of the SWR algorithms for integro-partial differential equations.

In order to solve the complicated process and low efficiency and low accuracy of solving a class of matrix equations, this paper introduces the linear saturated system model neural network architecture to solve the bisymmetric solution of a class of matrix equations. Firstly, a class of matrix equations is constructed to determine the key problems of solving the equations. Secondly, the linear saturated system model neural network structure is constructed to determine the characteristic parameters in the process of bisymmetric solution. Then, the matrix equations is solved by using backpropagation neural network topology. Finally, the class normalization is realized by using the objective function of bisymmetric solution, and the bisymmetric solution of a class of matrix equations is realized. In order to verify the solving effect of the method in this paper, three indexes (accuracy, correction accuracy, and solving time) are designed in the experiment. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively reduce the solving time, can improve the accuracy and correction effect of the bisymmetric solution, and has high practicability.

This paper presents some new formulas and properties of the generalized fractional derivative with non-singular kernel that covers various types of fractional derivatives such as the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional derivative, the Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative, and the weighted Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative. These new properties extend many recent results existing in the literature. Furthermore, the paper proposes some interesting inequalities that estimate the generalized fractional derivatives of some specific functions. These inequalities can be used to construct Lyapunov functions with the aim to study the global asymptotic stability of several fractional-order systems arising from diverse fields of science and engineering.

Since the tax of carbon emission is popular and consumers are exhibiting low-carbon preference, the green manufactures have to spend more extra cost on investing carbon emission reduction (CER) technology to decrease the carbon emission. To encourage the manufacture’s CER investment efforts, this paper explores the impact of carbon tax, CER cost, and consumers’ low-carbon preference on low-carbon decision-making and designs a revenue-sharing contract (RS) by constructing Stackelberg models. Based on the theoretical and numerical analysis, this paper finds that the supply chain would benefit from the increment of consumer’s environmental awareness but be depressed by the increase of the CER investment cost factor. Additionally, there exists a unique optimal carbon tax to make CER degree the maximum. Furthermore, RS can effectively promote manufacturers to reduce carbon emissions and also improve the supply chain efficiency.

The industrial revolution has brought a leap in productivity; however, some severe ecological environment and resource problems are coming out with the development of industrialization. To achieve sustainable development of social economy, green technology innovation emerges in response to the proper time and conditions. In this context, the correct approach to measure the efficiency of green technology innovation in China’s industrial enterprises is an important research topic. Based on existing studies, this paper divides innovation activities into two stages based on the innovation value chain and constructs a two-stage evaluation index system including all kinds of undesirable outputs transferred from negative externalities of the ecological environment. To evaluate green technology innovation efficiency, SBM and EBM network DEA models are applied to conduct empirical analysis from the perspective of time and space. This paper also calculates the efficiency values based on the SBM model and the EBM model, respectively, and compares the differences between them. The results show that the efficiency value of the achievement transformation stage is significantly higher than that of technology development stage; there are noticeable gaps in the efficiency of green technology innovation between different regions of China. Besides, the eastern region has a better performance in green technology innovation than the western region and Qinghai has the best green technology innovation performance. Combining the empirical results, the corresponding policy recommendations are put forward.

Statistics are mathematical tools applying scientific investigations, such as engineering and medical and biological analyses. However, statistical methods are often improved. Nowadays, statisticians try to find an accurate way to solve a problem. One of these problems is estimation parameters, which can be expressed as an inverse problem when independent variables are highly correlated. This paper’s significant goal is to interpret the parameter estimates of double generalized Rayleigh distribution in a regression model using a wavelet basis. It is difficult to use the standard version of the regression methods in practical terms, which is obtained using the likelihood. Since a noise level usually makes the result of estimation unstable, multicollinearity leads to various estimates. This kind of problem estimates that features of the truth are complicated. So it is reasonable to use a mixed method that combines a fully Bayesian approach and a wavelet basis. The usual rule for wavelet approaches is to choose a wavelet basis, where it helps to compute the wavelet coefficients, and then, these coefficients are used to remove Gaussian noise. Recovering data is typically calculated by inverting the wavelet coefficients. Some wavelet bases have been considered, which provide a shift-invariant wavelet transform, simultaneously providing improvements in smoothness, in recovering, and in squared-error performance. The proposed method uses combining a penalized maximum likelihood approach, a penalty term, and wavelet tools. In this paper, real data are involved and modeled using double generalized Rayleigh distributions, as they are used to estimate the wavelet coefficients of the sample using numerical tools. In practical applications, wavelet approaches are recommended. They reduce noise levels. This process may be useful since the noise level is often corrupted in real data, as a significant cause of most numerical estimation problems. A simulation investigation is studied using the MCMC tool to estimate the underlying features as an essential task statistics.

As more long-span bridges continue to be completed and opened to traffic, the safety of cars driving across the bridge has attracted more and more attention, especially when the car is suddenly affected by the crosswind, the car is likely to have direction deviation or even a rollover accident. In this paper, the large eddy simulation method is used to study the flow field characteristics and safety of the car on the bridge under the turbulent crosswind. The numerical simulation model is established by referring to the Donghai Bridge, and the correctness of the car model is validated by combining with the data of wind tunnel test. The influence of factors such as the porosity and height of the bridge guardrail and the Reynolds number of airflow on the flow field characteristics is analyzed. The study shows that, in order to ensure the safety of cars on the bridge, the bridge guardrail porosity should be small, 35.8% is more suitable, the guardrail height should be more suitable within the range of 1.5–1.625 meters, and the Reynolds number should not be 3.51e + 5. The research results of this paper will provide reference for the optimal design of bridge guardrail.

The random vector functional link (RVFL) network is suitable for solving nonlinear problems from transformer fault symptoms and different fault types due to its simple structure and strong generalization ability. However, the RVFL network has a disadvantage in that the network structure, and parameters are basically determined by experiences. In this paper, we proposed a method to improve the RVFL neural network algorithm by introducing the concept of hidden node sensitivity, classify each hidden layer node, and remove nodes with low sensitivity. The simplified network structure could avoid interfering nodes and improve the global search capability. The five characteristic gases produced by transformer faults are divided into two groups. A fault diagnosis model of three layers with four classifiers was built. We also investigated the effects of the number of hidden nodes and scale factors on RVFL network learning ability. Simulation results show that the number of implicit layer nodes has a large impact on the network model when the number of input dimensions is small. The network requires a higher number of implicit layer neurons and a smaller threshold range. The size of the scale factor has significant influence on the network model with larger input dimension. This paper describes the theoretical basis for parameter selection in RVFL neural networks. The theoretical basis for the selection of the number of hidden nodes, and the scale factor is derived. The importance of parameter selection for the improvement of diagnostic accuracy is verified through simulation experiments in transformer fault diagnosis.

The climate of Sri Lanka has been fluctuating at an alarming rate during the recent past. These changes are reported to have pronounced impacts on the livelihoods of the people in the country. Water is central to the sustainable functioning of ecosystems and wellbeing of mankind. It is evident that pronounced variations in the climate will negatively impact the availability and the quality of water resources. The ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) approach has proved to be an effective strategy to address the impact of climate change on water resources in many parts of the world. The key aim of this paper is to elaborate the wide range of benefits received through implementation of EbAs in field level, watershed scale, and urban and coastal environments in the context of Sri Lanka. In addition, this paper discusses the benefits of utilizing EbA solutions over grey infrastructure-based solutions to address the issues related to water management. The wide range of benefits received through implementation of EbAs can be broadly classified into three categories: water supply regulation, water quality regulation, and moderation of extreme events. This paper recommends the utilization of EbAs over grey infrastructure-based solutions in adaptation to climate change in the water management sector for the developing region due its cost effectiveness, ecofriendliness, and multiple benefits received on long-term scales. The findings of this study will unequivocally contribute to filling existing knowledge and research gaps in the context of EbAs to future climate change in Sri Lanka. The suggestions and opinions of this study can be taken into account by decision makers and water resources planning agencies for future planning of actions related to climate change adaptation in Sri Lanka.

Embedded software is increasingly being used with high reliability. However, the fault localization of embedded software is still largely dependent on the experience of engineers. Besides, faults in embedded software programs are not independent individuals; they are related to each other and affect each other, which may lead to more complex interaction behavior. These uncertainties render the traditional methods for single-fault localization with limited practical value. This paper has proposed a multiple-fault localization method to be applied to the embedded software, with emphasis on the cache-based program spectra-acquiring method and the hybrid clustering-based fault partition method. Through case studies on 108 groups of the subject program, it has been proved that the hybrid clustering-based fault partition method has significantly improved the effectiveness of multiple-fault localization in comparison with the traditional fault localization methods. Experiments on three embedded software programs in engineering have revealed that the cache-based program spectra-acquiring method saves nearly half of the running-time cost compared with the traditional spectrum-acquiring method based on real-time transmission. Therefore, the multiple-fault localization method proposed in this paper can be applied in embedded software debugging and testing in engineering.

Based on the basic theory of the material point method (MPM), the factors affecting the computational efficiency are analyzed and discussed, and the problem of improving calculation efficiency is studied. This paper introduces a mirror reflection boundary condition to the MPM to solve axisymmetric problems; to improve the computational efficiency of solving large deformation problems, the concept of "dynamic background domain (DBD)" is also proposed in this paper. Taking the explosion and/or shock problems as an example, the numerical simulation are calculated, and the typical characteristic parameters and the CPU time are compared. The results show that the processing method introducing mirror reflection boundary condition and MPM with DBD can improve the calculation efficiency of the corresponding problems, which, under the premise of ensuring its calculation accuracy, provide useful reference for further promoting the engineering application of this method.

Based on the consideration of the time effect and connecting with typical instances, the modified Caputo fractional time-varying damage model is proposed in this paper. The parameters of creep constitutive model of slope are determined by using the powerful mathematical software and the influence of the parameters of time varying viscus element and damage element, α and ξ , on strain are shown. As α increases, the strain rates of the first and second stages of creep attenuation and steady-state stages gradually decrease and the strain rate in the acceleration stage is reflected in ξ . The fitting curve is in good agreement with the experimental data, which proves that the damage model proposed in this paper is reasonable and accurate. It provides useful reference and guidance for further study of slope creep failure and practical applications.

Reinsurance plays a role of a stabilizer of the insurance industry and can be an effective tool to reduce the risk for the insurer. This paper aims to provide the optimal reinsurance design associated with the stop-loss reinsurance under the criterion of value-at-risk (VaR) risk measure. In this paper, the probability levels in the VaRs used by the both reinsurance parties are assumed to be different and the optimality results of reinsurance are derived by minimizing linear combination of the VaRs of the cedent and the reinsurer. The optimal parameter values of the stop-loss reinsurance policy are formally derived under the expectation premium principle.

Predicting landslide displacement is of great significance in geotechnical engineering. An iteration-based combined prediction method was proposed for predicting the landslide displacement in this paper. Firstly, the landslide displacement was predicted by 10 latest multivariable grey models, and then the final landslide displacement prediction value was obtained through an iteration-based combined strategy. Concurrently, the reliability of the quadratic programming-based combined prediction method (QPCPM) and the iteration-based combined prediction method (ICPM) was rigorously proved in this paper. In addition, the inapplicability conditions of the optimal weight-based combined prediction method (OWCPM) were pointed out. ICPM could be regarded as a simplified version of QPCPM. The Bazimen and Baishuihe landslides in the Three Gorges Reservoir area of China were used as numerical examples to elaborate the performance of ICPM. This paper also demonstrated the reliability of ICPM by considering the effects of rainfall and reservoir water level on landslide displacement. Overall, ICPM features in simple and easy calculation and has rosy engineering application prospects.

Typhoons can have disastrous effects on power systems. They may lead to a large number of power outages for distribution network users. Therefore, this paper establishes a model to predict the power outage quantity of distribution network users under a typhoon disaster. Firstly, twenty-six explanatory variables (called global variables) covering meteorological factors, geographical factors, and power grid factors are considered as the input variables. On this basis, the correlation between each explanatory variable and response variable is analyzed. Secondly, we established a global variable model to predict the power outage quantity of distribution network users based on Random Forest (RF) algorithm. Then the importance of each explanatory variable is mined to extract the most important variables. To reduce the complexity of the model and ease the burden of data collection, eight variables are eventually selected as important variables. Afterward, we predict the power outage quantity of distribution network users again using the eight important variables. Thirdly, we compare the prediction accuracy of a model called the No-model that has been used before, Linear Regression (LR), Support Vector Regression (SVR), Decision Tree Regression (DTR), RF-global variable model, and RF-important variable model. Simulation results show that the RF-important variable model proposed in this paper has a better effect. Since fewer variables can save prediction time and make the model simplified, it is recommended to use the RF-important variable model.

This paper studies the stator winding electromagnetic force behaviors before and after rotor inter-turn short circuit (RISC) in synchronous generator. Different from other studies, this paper not only studies the electromagnetic force characteristics, but also investigates the mechanical responses, the damage regularity, and the countermeasure of the stator winding. Firstly, formulas of electromagnetic force online and end part are obtained. Then, a 3D finite element model of a 3-pair-pole simulation generator is applied to get the electromagnetic force, and the dangerous stator slot is found. Finally, the mechanical response of each end winding is acquired, and especially the directional deformations of nose part are calculated. It shows that the occurrence of RISC will bring in times of rotor rotating frequency components to electromagnetic force, but the DC component and 2p times of rotor rotating frequency components are still the main that will be decreased. Additionally, the winding insulation wear in the same layer is more serious than that in a different layer, nose fatigue fracture begins with the center, and nose insulation wear starts from the top.

With the rapid development of the Internet, various forms of network attack have emerged, so how to detect abnormal behavior effectively and to recognize their attack categories accurately have become an important research subject in the field of cyberspace security. Recently, many hot machine learning-based approaches are applied in the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to construct a data-driven model. The methods are beneficial to reduce the time and cost of manual detection. However, the real-time network data contain an ocean of redundant terms and noises, and some existing intrusion detection technologies have lower accuracy and inadequate ability of feature extraction. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes an intrusion detection method based on the Decision Tree-Recursive Feature Elimination (DT-RFE) feature in ensemble learning. We firstly propose a data processing method by the Decision Tree-Based Recursive Elimination Algorithm to select features and to reduce the feature dimension. This method eliminates the redundant and uncorrelated data from the dataset to achieve better resource utilization and to reduce time complexity. In this paper, we use the Stacking ensemble learning algorithm by combining Decision Tree (DT) with Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) methods. Finally, a series of comparison experiments by cross-validation on the KDD CUP 99 and NSL-KDD datasets indicate that the DT-RFE and Stacking-based approach can better improve the performance of the IDS, and the accuracy for all kinds of features is higher than 99%, except in the case of U2R accuracy, which is 98%.

At present, real-time online measurement of fluid density is of great significance to improve the automation level of petrochemical and food industries. The tuning fork density sensor is widely used because of its characteristics of real-time online measurement, high measurement accuracy, simple structure, and convenient use. The traditional tuning fork density sensor in the market has the disadvantage of low resolution and being susceptible to liquid viscosity, which makes the sensor’s measurement accuracy low and not suitable for the measurement of high-viscosity liquid density. The measurement resolution and antiviscosity interference capability of the tuning fork density sensor are two major indexes to measure the measurement performance of the sensor, among the antiviscosity interference capability refers to the degree to which the measurement results of the sensor are affected by viscosity properties. However, the structural design of the tuning fork density sensor results in the conflict between the measurement resolution and the antiviscosity interference capability of the sensor, and the improvement of one performance is bound to affect the performance of the other. Aiming at the problem of how to balance the measuring performance of the tuning fork sensor, a density calculation model based on viscosity compensation is proposed in this paper. By studying the working principle and structure design of the tuning fork, the vibration characteristics of tuning fork in liquid with different viscosities and densities are modelled and simulated. From the results of simulation analysis, the better set of dimensions with balanced measuring performance is selected. Not only does the structure of the tuning fork have the characteristics of high resonance frequency, but also the measured results are less affected by the viscosity of the liquid. To solve the problem that density measurement is still affected by high-viscosity liquid after tuning fork dimension optimization, in this paper, the partial least square model is used to fit the experimental data of the frequency-density characteristics; then, the density calculation model based on the viscosity compensation is obtained by combining the frequency-viscosity characteristic experiment. Finally, through the performance test experiment comparing with the traditional tuning fork density sensor, the measurement resolution of the improved tuning fork density sensor is as high as 0.0001 g/cm3; within the viscosity range of 180 MPa·s, the accuracy reached ±0.001 g/cm3, and within 480 MPa·s, the measurement accuracy reached ±0.002 g/cm3. When the liquid viscosity reaches more than 10 MPa·s, the improved tuning fork density sensor has better overall measurement performance than the traditional tuning fork density sensor, and both of its measurement resolution and antiviscosity interference capability have been greatly improved.

Quantitative analysis of the flow field is an effective method to study hydrodynamics. As a flow field measurement technology, the Background Oriented Schlieren (BOS) is widely used. However, it is difficult to measure the complex transparent flow field (flow field with large refractive index gradient) using the BOS experiment. In order to overcome this difficulty and improve the accuracy of the BOS experiment, this paper presents a hybrid adaptive wavelet-based optical flow algorithm for the BOS. The current algorithm is a combination of the traditional optical flow algorithm and the wavelet-based optical flow algorithm. By adding the initial value constraints, the adaptive scale constraints, and the adaptive regularization constraints, the algorithm can effectively overcome the above-mentioned difficulty and also improve its accuracy. To further illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method, this paper uses the simulation data, the data of the DNS datasets, and the data of the BOS experiment to verify the performance of the algorithm. The experiment of comparing the proposed algorithm with the existing ones is carried out on the DNS datasets and the data of the BOS experiment. Finally, the proposed method is verified by a practical BOS experiment. The results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the measurement accuracy of displacements.

This paper proposes a new class of difference methods with intrinsic parallelism for solving the Burgers–Fisher equation. A new class of parallel difference schemes of pure alternating segment explicit-implicit (PASE-I) and pure alternating segment implicit-explicit (PASI-E) are constructed by taking simple classical explicit and implicit schemes, combined with the alternating segment technique. The existence, uniqueness, linear absolute stability, and convergence for the solutions of PASE-I and PASI-E schemes are well illustrated. Both theoretical analysis and numerical experiments show that PASE-I and PASI-E schemes are linearly absolute stable, with 2-order time accuracy and 2-order spatial accuracy. Compared with the implicit scheme and the Crank–Nicolson (C-N) scheme, the computational efficiency of the PASE-I (PASI-E) scheme is greatly improved. The PASE-I and PASI-E schemes have obvious parallel computing properties, which show that the difference methods with intrinsic parallelism in this paper are feasible to solve the Burgers–Fisher equation.

The interpolating boundary element-free method (IBEFM) is a direct solution method of the meshless boundary integral equation method, which has high efficiency and accuracy. The IBEFM is developed based on the interpolating moving least-squares (IMLS) method and the boundary integral equation method. Since the shape function of the IMLS method satisfies the interpolation characteristics, the IBEFM can directly and accurately impose the essential boundary conditions, which overcomes the shortcomings of the original boundary element-free method in enforcing the essential boundary approximately. This paper will study the error estimations of the IBEFM for two-dimensional potential problems and the relationship between the errors and the influence radius and the condition number of the coefficient matrix. Two numerical examples are presented to verify the correctness of the theoretical results in this paper.

This paper examines the threshold effect of resource misallocation between specialization and technological innovation performance in the high-tech industry in China. Contrary to the existing literature, this paper applies the static panel threshold model to evaluate the threshold effect of industrial specialization on the innovation performance, including the single threshold effect and double threshold effect. The empirical results shed new light on the topic and signified that high-tech industry specialization has a nonlinear effect on innovation performance and the resource misallocation threshold. This paper unveils a novel, double threshold effect of resource misallocation between industrial specialization and innovation performance. Moreover, the twenty-eight regions in China are divided into three types according to a resource misallocation, which unfold the current situation of the resource misallocation in pharmaceutical manufacturing—providing directional guidance for structural reforms of the supply side of pharmaceutical manufacturing in various regions.

This paper analyzes the “resource curse” and “financial threshold effect” that may exist in China and then uses the data from 30 provinces from 2004 to 2018 as research samples. We used linear regression and nondynamic panel threshold models to analyze the financial threshold effects of the “resource curse” hypothesis and the “resource curse” phenomenon. At the same time, we divided the level of financial development to verify the robustness of the research conclusions in this paper. The study found the following: (1) There is a certain correlation between the abundance of resources and economic growth. Whether this can be seen as a “curse” or a “blessing” of resources is significantly related to the degree of financial development. (2) Whether financial development can alleviate the “resource curse” depends on the degree of financial development. In the extremely scarce stage of financial resources, the resource endowment effect is obvious, and the level of economic development in resource-based regions will be higher than in other regions; when the level of financial development is low (financial resources are not scarce and have not reached a reasonable level), the phenomenon of the “resource curse” appears; when the level of financial development is highly developed, economic development benefits more from financial development, and the effects of resource endowment decline. Only when financial development is at a reasonable level can resource endowments effectively raise the level of economic development.

In this paper, by using the partial order method, the existence and uniqueness of a solution for systems of a class of abstract operator equations in Banach spaces are discussed. The result obtained in this paper improves and unifies many recent results. Two applications to the system of nonlinear differential equations and the systems of nonlinear differential equations in Banach spaces are given, and the unique solution and interactive sequences which converge the unique solution and the error estimation are obtained.

In this paper, the concept of a fuzzy soft point is redefined, and the definition of a fuzzy soft net in a fuzzy soft topological space is given. On this basis, the convergence of a fuzzy soft net is defined by using the Q-neighborhood theory, and the continuity of fuzzy soft mappings is characterized by the net. The obtained results demonstrate that the concepts proposed in this paper are very suitable and will provide powerful research tools for further research in this field.

An adaptive high-order difference solution about a 2D nonlinear degenerate singular reaction-diffusion equation with a convection term is initially proposed in the paper. After the first and the second central difference operator approximating the first-order and the second-order spatial derivative, respectively, the higher-order spatial derivatives are discretized by applying the Taylor series rule and the temporal derivative is discretized by using the Crank–Nicolson (CN) difference scheme. An alternating direction implicit (ADI) scheme with a nonuniform grid is built in this way. Meanwhile, accuracy analysis declares the second order in time and the fourth order in space under certain conditions. Sequentially, the high-order scheme is performed on an adaptive mesh to demonstrate quenching behaviors of the singular parabolic equation and analyse the influence of combustion chamber size on quenching. The paper displays rationally that the proposed scheme is practicable for solving the 2D quenching-type problem.

Sea surface temperature (SST) forecasting is the task of predicting future values of a given sequence using historical SST data, which is beneficial for observing and studying hydroclimatic variability. Most previous studies ignore the spatial information in SST prediction and the forecasting models have limitations to process the large-scale SST data. A novel model of SST prediction integrated Deep Gated Recurrent Unit and Convolutional Neural Network (DGCnetwork) is proposed in this paper. The DGCnetwork has a compact structure and focuses on learning deep long-term dependencies in SST time series. Temporal information and spatial information are all included in our procedure. Differential Evolution algorithm is applied in order to configure DGCnetwork’s optimum architecture. Optimum Interpolation Sea Surface Temperature (OISST) data is selected to conduct experiments in this paper, which has good temporal homogeneity and feature resolution. The experiments demonstrate that the DGCnetwork significantly obtains excellent forecasting result, predicting SST by different lengths flexibly and accurately. On the East China Sea dataset and the Yellow Sea dataset, the accuracy of the prediction results is above 98% on the whole and all mean absolute error (MAE) values are lower than 0.33°C. Compared with the other models, root mean square error (RMSE), root mean square percentage error (RMSPE), and mean absolute percentage Error (MAPE) of the proposed approach reduce at least 0.1154, 0.2594, and 0.3938. The experiments of SST time series show that the DGCnetwork model maintains good prediction results, better performance, and stronger stability, which has reached the most advanced level internationally.

The integration of information technology and manufacturing technology (IOITMT) is a strategic idea proposed by China. As the smallest unit of integration, manufacturing enterprises can be seen as the root of IOITMT. However, the current situation of IOITMT in China shows that intelligent manufacturing still has a long way to go and that the implementation effect of IOITMT requires urgent improvement. The dynamic evolution of IOITMT is accompanied by the integration and coevolution of internal technologies and also affects the performance of enterprises. Taking technical efficiency as a measure of IOITMT, the purpose of the current study is to develop an internal dynamic evolutionary mechanism framework for IOITMT of a single cycle in manufacturing enterprises. The framework is based on the theory of self-organization and convergence and uses convergence theory to discuss the evolution mode of technical efficiency in the three stages of IOITMT under the guidance of order parameters. This paper finds that the technical efficiency of IOITMT is influenced by the ratio of convergence parameters r1/r2, and adjusting the convergence intensity can effectively improve the performance of enterprises. Hence, this paper provides important theoretical guidance for the advancement of IOITMT of Chinese manufacturing enterprises.

This paper considers some multiscale radial basis function collocation methods for solving the two-dimensional Monge–Ampère equation with Dirichlet boundary. We discuss and study the performance of the three kinds of multiscale methods. The first method is the cascadic meshfree method, which was proposed by Liu and He (2013). The second method is the stationary multilevel method, which was proposed by Floater and Iske (1996), and is used to solve the fully nonlinear partial differential equation in the paper for the first time. The third is the hierarchical radial basis function method, which is constructed by employing successive refinement scattered data sets and scaled compactly supported radial basis functions with varying support radii. Compared with the first two methods, the hierarchical radial basis function method can not only solve the present problem on a single level with higher accuracy and lower computational cost but also produce highly sparse nonlinear discrete system. These observations are obtained by taking the direct approach of numerical experimentation.

In order to accurately divide the traffic control subarea and improve the regional coordination control effect, this paper studies the key technologies of traffic control subarea division from the influence of the discrete characteristics of the fleet on the coordinated control. Correlation analysis method and regression analysis method are used to construct the correlation model of adjacent intersections. The principle and process of transportation subarea division are designed by using analytic hierarchy process, and a new traffic subarea division model is proposed. Taking Gulou Street in Miyun District of Beijing as an example, combined with the green wave coordination optimization method, the new model was applied and simulated in SimTraffic. The simulation results show that the average delay of the intersection is reduced by 21.4%, the total number of stops is reduced by 9.62%, and the travel time is shortened by 8.75%. The new intersection degree model and the coordinated control scheme obtained by the traffic subarea division model make the highest traffic efficiency. That is, to verify the scientific research method of this paper, the research results are reliable and the practical application value is high.

Elastic waves cause energy loss during the transmission of coal measures. These losses include propagation loss, dielectric absorption loss, scattering loss, and frequency migration loss. The absorption loss is mainly caused by the inelastic absorption. The scattering loss is caused by the uneven heat absorption in the formation. The frequency shift loss is caused by the piezoelectric effect of coal-bearing formations and the intermodulation of different frequency signals. After considering the influence factors of the coal seam structure, this paper presents a model of low-frequency elastic waves loss coefficient. The paper proposed the loss coefficient of the elastic wave in the coal measure strata by considering two main attenuation mechanisms: intrinsic absorption and scattering. This paper theoretically studied the effects of the model parameters such as density, porosity, particle size, and wave frequency on the loss of wave energy using COMSOL simulation. Besides, the comparison of MATLAB simulation results shows that the simulation results produced by the model proposed in this paper are similar to the models embedded in COMSOL. This work can be applied to coal, oil, and gas exploration and is also helpful to study the mechanisms of wave attention on the low-frequency band.

This research paper is about the existence and uniqueness of the coupled system of nonlinear fractional Langevin equations with multipoint and nonlocal integral boundary conditions. The Caputo fractional derivative is used to formulate the fractional differential equations, and the fractional integrals mentioned in the boundary conditions are due to Atangana–Baleanu and Katugampola. The existence of solution has been proven by two main fixed-point theorems: O’Regan’s fixed-point theorem and Krasnoselskii’s fixed-point theorem. By applying Banach’s fixed-point theorem, we proved the uniqueness result for the concerned problem. This research paper highlights the examples related with theorems that have already been proven.

It has been stated that Industry 4.0’s goal is, among others, the sustainable success in a market characterized by exigent and informed consumers demanding personalized products and services, where the level of manufacturing complexity increases with level of product customization. Even though different manufacturing complexity measures have been developed, there seems to be a lack of a comprehensive metric that address both the mass customization variety-induced complexity, and the complexity derived from the adoption of the Industry 4.0 paradigm. The main original contribution of this paper is the development of an entropy-based (entropic) formulation to address this last issue. Its validity and usefulness is put to the test via a discrete-event simulation study of a mass customization production system operating within an Industry 4.0 context. Our findings show that the entropic formulation acts as a fairly good trend indicator of the system’s performance parameter increase/decrease, but not as an estimator of the final values. A discussion of the managerial implications of the obtained results is offered at the end of the paper.

The paper investigates the dynamical behaviors of a two-species discrete predator-prey system with Crowley–Martin functional response incorporating prey refuge proportional to prey density. The existence of equilibrium points, stability of three fixed points, period-doubling bifurcation, Neimark–Sacker bifurcation, Marottos chaos, and Control Chaos are analyzed for the discrete-time domain. The time graphs, phase portraits, and bifurcation diagrams are obtained for different parameters of the model. Numerical simulations and graphics show that the discrete model exhibits rich dynamics, which also present that the system is a chaotic and complex one. This paper attempts to present a feedback control method which can stabilize chaotic orbits at an unstable equilibrium point.

This paper presents a new Weibull family of distributions. The compatibility of the newly developed class is justified through its application in the field of quality control using Weibull-exponential distribution, a special case of the proposed family. In this paper, an attribute control chart using Weibull-exponential distribution is developed. The estimations of the model parameters and the proposed chart parameters are performed through the methods of maximum likelihood and average run-length. The significance of the proposed model is demonstrated using a simulation study and real-life problems. The results of the monitoring process and quick detection are compared with exponential distribution.

After the market-oriented reform of China’s financial industry, there have been some problems in financial risk assessment. In recent years, commercial bank finance has made rapid development, but on the whole, the financial risk assessment of commercial banks is still the weakest link in the Chinese financial system. This experiment selects data from state-owned commercial banks and foreign-funded commercial banks. Through the analysis and deconstruction of the macroenvironment, participants, and business models, this paper systematically combines the factors influencing the financial risk of commercial banks, which can identify the main sources of financial risk in this complex way of financing and clarify the effects of the transfer of financial risk between different participants. Based on this, the paper studies the differences between the assets and liabilities between banks on the risk-taking of banks and the reform of the organizational evolution of fuzzy system. According to the application scenarios and actual needs of commercial banks’ financial risks, the entropy weight analysis method is used to reflect the weight of indicators by the difference degree of observed index values. The information quantity of indicators is measured to ensure that the established indicators can reflect most of the initial information. The experimental results show that, compared with state-owned banks, the proportion of foreign banks’ assets in 2018 is very small. The highest value of public debt assets is 9.2 billion yuan, followed by financial institutions with 2.58 billion yuan, and deposit institutions with 280 million yuan. The central bank has no debt amount.

The carbon footprint of the cold chain logistics system refers to the greenhouse gas emissions directly or indirectly caused in each link of the cold chain logistics activities. Because cold chain logistics is the main carbon emitter in the field of logistics, research on how to reduce carbon emissions in the field of cold chain logistics plays an important role in energy conservation and emission reduction. Based on the in-depth analysis of the carbon footprint of cold chain logistics, this paper introduces the distance coefficient and freshness parameters into the optimization model innovatively and uses the life cycle assessment method and input-output method to determine the calculation range of the carbon footprint of fresh products of each link in the cold chain logistics. The system calculates the carbon emissions generated by the production and operation activities of each place of origin, distribution center, retailer, and waste disposal during the circulation of fresh products. This paper establishes a carbon footprint optimization model to discuss how to balance carbon constraints and minimized costs. Through the analysis of the simulation results, from the perspective of the government and enterprises, corresponding countermeasures are put forward to more effectively achieve the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction and guide the cold chain logistics industry to sustainable development.

Nowadays, eco-efficiency is one of the most widely used comprehensive indicators in many fields and sectors. Understanding eco-efficiency is of great significance to implement sustainable socioeconomic development for decision makers. To assess the comprehensive performance of industrial investment, the eco-efficiency of industrial investment (EEII) is constructed under the comprehensive perspective of economic benefits, energy consumption, and environmental impact in this paper. Then, a new superefficient undesirable-output slack-based measure DEA (SeUo-SBM-DEA) model is proposed and applied to assess the EEII of 30 provinces in China from 2015 to 2017, and its influencing factors are analyzed using the Tobit regression. The empirical results show the following: (1) the eco-efficiency of China’s industrial investment is generally low (0.613), and there exists a significant regional disparity; namely, the average value of EEII was the highest in the eastern regions (0.838), followed by the central regions (0.6) and western regions (0.397). (2) R&D expenditure, economic development level, and foreign direct investment all had a significant positive effect on the eco-efficiency of industrial investment, while investment in treatment of industrial pollution sources and total education funds all had a significant negative effect. Finally, this paper puts forward some suggestions to promote sustainable development of industrial investment based on our findings.

When a combine harvester is harvesting in field under complicated conditions, vibration characteristics of the chassis frame under the excitation of multiple sources are complex and changeable. In order to analyze the vibration characteristics of the chassis frame of the combine harvester under complex working conditions and multisource excitation, this paper carried out three-dimensional modeling and static calculation of the chassis frame of the combine harvester. On this basis, the experimental modal analysis was carried out on the designed chassis frame, and finally, the vibration response under multiple excitations and complex working conditions was tested and analyzed in the field. Results showed that when the combine harvester was fully loaded, the maximum bending moment was at the load-bearing beam under the grain box. The maximum bending moment was 2298.08 N/m, and it was located at the cross section of the left end of the bearing beam at 1.61 m. When the components of the whole machine were working, the vibration of the chassis frame at the rear right was the most intense. The horizontal vibration of the threshing drum, the reciprocating motion generated by the vibrating screen, and the vertical vibration generated by the engine were the main vibration sources of the combine harvester in the three directions of X, Y, and Z. With the i\ncrease of engine speed, the excitation capacity of each working component connected to the engine on the whole machine increased. The results of this paper provide experimental basis for the research on the vibration characteristics of the chassis frame of the rice combine harvester under multisource excitation and also provide a reference for the further improvement of the chassis frame of the combine harvester.

In this paper, the dependent competing risks’ model is considered in the constant-stress accelerated life test under the adaptive type-II progressive hybrid-censored scheme. The dependency between failure causes is modeled by Marshall–Olkin bivariate Gompertz distribution. The scale and shape parameters in the model both change with the stress levels, and the failure causes of some test units are unknown. Then, the maximum likelihood estimations and approximation confidence intervals of the unknown parameters are considered. And, the necessary and sufficient condition is established for the existence and uniqueness of the maximum likelihood estimations for unknown parameters. The Bayes approach is also employed to estimate the unknown parameters under suitable prior distributions. The Bayes estimations and highest posterior credible intervals of the unknown parameters are obtained. Finally, a simulation experiment has been performed to illustrate the methods proposed in this paper.

In order to solve the flood discharge problem of both small- and medium-sized warping dams in the Loess Plateau, a stepped spillway scheme, based on an ecological bag, to achieve full-section water flow and energy dissipation has been proposed in this paper. The hydraulic and energy dissipation characteristics of a stepped spillway layout scheme were studied using 3D numerical simulation. As the height of the dams is low and the spillways are short, the research has shown that the traditional single-step layout scheme leads to a low overall energy dissipation rate due to the small amount of energy dissipated in the initial steps. As a result of this, this paper has put forward two kinds of step layout schemes such as the shunt type and the staggered type for the initial steps. Through analysis of the flow state, the pressure distribution, and the total energy dissipation rate, the results have shown that shunt type and staggered type with front step deformation produced an obvious mixing of the water flow, fewer negative pressure areas, and a higher energy dissipation rate. The optimal energy dissipation rate of the staggered type reached 87.75%, and the maximum energy dissipation rate was increased by 27.97%.

Self-sustained oscillation has the advantages of harvesting energy from the environment and self-control, and thus, the development of new self-oscillating systems can greatly expand its applications in active machines. In this paper, based on conventional photothermal shrinkable material or photothermal expansive material, a simple pendulum is proposed. The light-powered self-sustained oscillation of the simple pendulum is theoretically studied by establishing a dynamic model of the photothermal-responsive pendulum. The results show that there are two motion modes of the simple pendulum, which are the static mode and the oscillation mode. Based on the photothermal-responsive model, this paper elucidates the mechanism of the self-excited oscillation. The condition for triggering self-excited oscillation is further studied. In addition, the influence of the system parameters on the amplitude and frequency is also obtained. This study may have potential applications in energy harvesting, signal monitoring, and soft machines.

Solving nonlinear equation systems for engineering applications is one of the broadest and most essential numerical studies. Several methods and combinations were developed to solve such problems by either finding their roots mathematically or formalizing such problems as an optimization task to obtain the optimal solution using a predetermined objective function. This paper proposes a new algorithm for solving square and nonsquare nonlinear systems combining the genetic algorithm (GA) and the homotopy analysis method (HAM). First, the GA is applied to find out the solution. If it is realized, the algorithm is terminated at this stage as the target solution is determined. Otherwise, the HAM is initiated based on the GA stage’s computed initial guess and linear operator. Moreover, the GA is utilized to calculate the optimum value of the convergence control parameter (h) algebraically without plotting the h-curves or identifying the valid region. Four test functions are examined in this paper to verify the proposed algorithm’s accuracy and efficiency. The results are compared to the Newton HAM (NHAM) and Newton homotopy differential equation (NHDE). The results corroborated the superiority of the proposed algorithm in solving nonlinear equation systems efficiently.

The main objective of this paper is to introduce I p , q ϱ -derivative and I p , q ϱ -integral for interval-valued functions and discuss their key properties. Also, we prove the I p , q ϱ -Hermite–Hadamard inequalities for interval-valued functions is the development of p , q ϱ -Hermite–Hadamard inequalities by using new defined I p , q ϱ -integral. Moreover, we prove some results for midpoint- and trapezoidal-type inequalities by using the concept of Pompeiu–Hausdorff distance between the intervals. It is also shown that the results presented in this paper are extensions of some of the results already shown in earlier works. The proposed studies produce variants that would be useful for performing in-depth investigations on fractal theory, optimization, and research problems in different applied fields, such as computer science, quantum mechanics, and quantum physics.

The aging population has become a growing worldwide problem. Every year, deaths and injuries caused by elderly people's falls bring huge social costs. To reduce the rate of injury and death caused by falls among the elderly and the following social cost, the elderly must be monitored. In this context, falls detecting has become a hotspot for many research institutions and enterprises at home and abroad. This paper proposes an algorithm framework to prealarm the fall based on fractional domain, using inertial data sensor as motion data collection devices, preprocessing the data by axis synthesis and mean filtering, and using fractional-order Fourier transform to convert the collected data from time domain to fractional domain. Based on the above, a multilayer dichotomy classifier is designed, and each node parameter selection method is given, which constructed a preimpact fall detection system with excellent performance. The experiment result demonstrates that the algorithm proposed in this paper can guarantee better warning effect and classification accuracy with fewer features.

During the construction of the tunnel, there may be water-bearing anomalous structures such as fault fracture zone. In order to ensure the safety of the tunnel, it is necessary to carry out advanced tunnel detection. The traditional linear inversion method is highly dependent on the initial model in the tunnel resistivity inversion, which makes the inversion results falling into the local optimal optimum rather than the global one. Therefore, an inversion method for tunnel resistivity advanced detection based on ant colony algorithm is proposed in this paper. In order to improve the accuracy of tunnel advanced detection of deep anomalous bodies, an ant colony optimization (ACO) inversion is used by integrating depth weighting into the inversion function. At the same time, in view of the high efficiency and low cost of one-dimension inversion and the advantages of L1 norm in boundary characterization, a one-dimensional ant colony algorithm is adopted in this paper. In order to evaluate the performance of the algorithm, two sets of numerical simulations were carried out. Finally, the application of the actual tunnel water-bearing anomalous structure was carried out in a real example to evaluate the application effect, and it was verified by excavation exposure.

Recently, the development of neural network method for solving differential equations has made a remarkable progress for solving fractional differential equations. In this paper, a neural network method is employed to solve time-fractional telegraph equation. The loss function containing initial/boundary conditions with adjustable parameters (weights and biases) is constructed. Also, in this paper, a time-fractional telegraph equation was formulated as an optimization problem. Numerical examples with known analytic solutions including numerical results, their graphs, weights, and biases were also discussed to confirm the accuracy of the method used. Also, the graphical and tabular results were analyzed thoroughly. The mean square errors for different choices of neurons and epochs have been presented in tables along with graphical presentations.

The main purpose of this study is to construct a base for a new fuzzy set concept that is called consistency fuzzy set (CFS) which expresses the multidimensional uncertain data quite successfully. Our motive is to reduce the complexity and difficulty caused by the information contained in the truth sequence in a fuzzy multiset (FMS) and to present the data of the truth sequence in a more understandable and compact manner. Therefore, this paper introduces the concept of CFS that is characterized with a truth function defined on a universal set 0,1 2 . The first component of the truth pair of a CFS is the average value of the truth sequence of a FMS and the second component is the consistency degree, that is, the fuzzy complement of the standard deviation of the truth sequence of the same FMS. The main contribution of a CFS is the reflection of both the level of the average of the data that can be expressed with the different sequence lengths and the degree of the reasonable information in data via consistency degree. To develop this new concept, this paper also presents a correlation coefficient and a cosine similarity measure between CFSs. Furthermore, the proposed correlation coefficient and cosine similarity measure are applied to a multiperiod medical diagnosis problem. Finally, a comparison analysis is given between the obtained results and the existing results in literature to show the efficiency and rationality of the proposed correlation coefficient and cosine similarity measure.

Regional cultural and creative products are paying more attention to the cultural core of their design and communication, while satisfying the basic design elements of appearance, function, and aesthetics; therefore, agricultural cultural and creative image (ACCI) also has its dual attributes of culture and commerce. Virtual reality (VR) animation technology can integrate video, text, and model into one, comprehensively display the three-dimensional digital content of regional cultural characteristics, bring users an immersive viewing experience, and enhance their interest in traditional culture, beneficial to the spreading and inheriting traditional culture. On the basis of summarizing and analyzing previous research works, this paper analyzed the development background, current status, and future challenges of VR animation technology and expounded the research situation and significance of design and dissemination of ACCI. Further, this paper proposed the design method, communication model, and approaches of ACCI based on VR animation technology, explored the reshaping of ACCI’s digital elements, resolution of ACCI’s artistic features, and discovery of ACCI’s artistic values, constructed the platform architecture and implementation technology of VR animation, and finally discussed the issue of the integration and innovation of cultural products and VR animation technology. Excellent regional cultural and creative products can achieve the multiple goals of promoting product sales, improving design aesthetics, and spreading cultural characteristics by pursuing cultural and creative values. The ACCI based on VR animation technology not only makes customers pay attention to the agricultural brands and consuming their products but also promotes regional identity and disseminate regional culture, inspiring the potential awareness of tourism and shopping and driving the economic development.
