The article offers a translation of an expert-witness statement submitted as evidence in the trial of three members of the Russian activist collective P##sy Riot for performing their song "Punk Prayer" in a Russian Orthodox cathedral in Moscow, Russia in 2012. An analysis is offered of the song's pairing of sacred words and concepts with profane words, including referring to priests as b##ches and using the term "s##t of the Lord." The song's feminist and pro-LGBT themes are also considered.
