Abstract: We present measurements of the branching fractions for the decays $B\to K \mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ and $B\to K e^{+}e^{-}$, and their ratio ($R_{K}$), using a data sample of 711 $fb^{-1}$ that contains $772 \times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ events. The data were collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. The ratio $R_{K}$ is measured in five bins of dilepton invariant-mass-squared ($q^{2}$): $q^{2} \in (0.1, 4.0), (4.0, 8.12), (1.0, 6.0)$, $(10.2, 12.8)$ and ($>14.18) GeV^{2}/c^{4}$, along with the whole $q^2$ region. The $R_{K}$ value for $q^{2} \in (1.0, 6.0) GeV^{2}/c^{4}$ is $1.03^{+0.28}_{-0.24} \pm 0.01$. The first and second uncertainties listed are statistical and systematic, respectively. All results for $R_{K}$ are consistent with Standard Model predictions. We also measure $C\!P$-averaged isospin asymmetries in the same $q^{2}$ bins. The results are consistent with a null asymmetry, with the largest difference of 2.6 standard deviations occurring for the $q^{2}\in(1.0,6.0) GeV^{2}/c^{4}$ bin in the mode with muon final states. The measured differential branching fractions, ${d\cal B}/{dq^{2}}$, are consistent with theoretical predictions for charged $B$ decays, while the corresponding values are below the expectations for neutral $B$ decays. We have also searched for lepton-flavor-violating $B \rightarrow K\mu^{\pm}e^{\mp}$ decays and set $90\%$ confidence-level upper limits on the branching fraction in the range of $10^{-8}$ for $B^{+} \rightarrow K^{+}\mu^{\pm}e^{\mp}$, and $B^{0} \rightarrow K^{0}\mu^{\pm}e^{\mp}$ modes., Comment: 18 pages, 7 figures

Abstract: We report results from a study of the spin and parity of $\Xi_{c}(2970)^+$ using a $980~\mathrm{fb^{-1}}$ data sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. The decay angle distributions in the chain $\Xi_{c}(2970)^+ \to \Xi_c(2645)^{0}\pi^{+} \to \Xi_c^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+}$ are analyzed to determine the spin of this charmed-strange baryon. The angular distributions strongly favor the $\Xi_{c}(2970)^+$ spin $J =1/2$ over $3/2$ or $5/2$, under an assumption that the lowest partial wave dominates in the decay. We also measure the ratio of $\Xi_{c}(2970)^+$ decay branching fractions $R={\mathcal{B}[ \Xi_{c}(2970)^+ \to \Xi_c(2645)^{0}\pi^{+} ]} / { \mathcal{B}[ \Xi_{c}(2970)^+ \to \Xi_c^{\prime0}\pi^{+} ]} =1.67 \pm 0.29\mathrm{(stat.)}^{ +0.15}_{ -0.09}\mathrm{(syst.)} \pm 0.25\mathrm{(IS)}$, where the last uncertainty is due to possible isospin-symmetry-breaking effects. This $R$ value favors the spin-parity $J^P=1/2^+$ with the spin of the light-quark degrees of freedom $s_{l}=0$. Abstract: Physical review / D 104(1), 012012 (2021). doi:10.1103/PhysRevD.104.012012, For the first time we search for the $\eta_{c2}(1D)$ in $e^+e^-\to\gamma\eta_{c2}(1D)$ at $\sqrt{s}$ = 10.52, 10.58, and 10.867 GeV with data samples of 89.5 fb$^{-1}$, 711 fb$^{-1}$, and 121.4 fb$^{-1}$, respectively, accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider. No significant $\eta_{c2}(1D)$ signal is observed in the mass range between 3.8 and 3.88 GeV/$c^2$. The upper limit at 90% confidence level on the product of the Born cross section for $e^+e^- \to \gamma\eta_{c2}(1D)$ and branching fraction for $\eta_{c2}(1D)\to \gamma h_c(1P)$ is determined to be $\sigma(e^+e^- \to \gamma\eta_{c2}(1D)){\cal B}(\eta_{c2}(1D)\to \gamma h_c(1P))$$, Published by APS, Melville, NY

Abstract: Journal of high energy physics 09(9), 075 (2021). doi:10.1007/JHEP09(2021)075, We measure the branching fractions and CP asymmetries for the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D$^{0}$ �� $^{+}$��$^{��}$��, D$^{0}$ �� K$^{+}$K$^{��}$��, and D$^{0}$ �� , using 980 fb$^{��1}$ of data from the Belle experiment at the KEKB e$^{+}$e$^{��}$ collider. We obtain$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[1.22\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.03\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-3},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[{1.80}_{-0.06}^{+0.07}\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.04\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[1.84\pm 0.09\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.06\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\end{array}} $where the third uncertainty ($ \mathcal{B} _{ref}$) is from the uncertainty in the branching fraction of the reference mode D$^{0}$ �� K$^{��}$��$^{+}$��. The color-suppressed decay D$^{0}$ �� is observed for the first time, with very high significance. The results for the CP asymmetries are$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\ {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[0.9\pm 1.2\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.5\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[-1.4\pm 3.3\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 1.1\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {} ACP\ \left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[-1.9\pm 4.4\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.6\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%.\end{array}} $The results for D$^{0}$ �� $^{+}$��$^{��}$�� are a significant improvement over previous results. The branching fraction and A$_{CP}$ results for D$^{0}$ �� K$^{+}$K$^{��}$��, and the ACP result for D$^{0}$ �� , are the first such measurements. Abstract: We present a measurement of $R_{K^{\ast}}$, the branching fraction ratio ${{\cal B}(B\to K^\ast \mu^+ \mu^-)}$/ ${{\cal B}(B\to K^\ast e^+ e^-)}$, for both charged and neutral $B$ mesons. The ratio for the charged case, $R_{K{^{\ast +}}}$, is the first measurement ever performed. In addition, we report absolute branching fractions for the individual modes in bins of the squared dilepton invariant mass, $q^2$. The analysis is based on a data sample of $711~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, containing $772\times 10^{6}$ $B\bar B$ events, recorded at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. Abstract: International audience; We report the first search for the penguin-dominated process Bs0→η′Xss¯ using a semi-inclusive method. A 121.4 fb-1 integrated luminosity ϒ(5S) data set collected by the Belle experiment, at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider, is used. We observe no statistically significant signal and, including all uncertainties, we set a 90% confidence level upper limit on the partial branching fraction at 1.4×10-3 for M(Xss¯)≤2.4 GeV/c2.

7. Evidence for the decay Ωc0→π+Ω(2012)-→π+(K¯Ξ)

Abstract: International audience; Using a data sample of 980 fb-1 collected with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider, we present evidence for the Ω(2012)- in the resonant substructure of Ωc0→π+(K¯Ξ)- ((K¯Ξ)-=K-Ξ0+K¯0Ξ-) decays. The significance of the Ω(2012)- signal is 4.2σ after considering the systematic uncertainties. The ratio of the branching fraction of Ωc0→π+Ω(2012)-→π+(K¯Ξ)- relative to that of Ωc0→π+Ω- is calculated to be 0.220±0.059(stat.)±0.035(syst.). The individual ratios of the branching fractions of the two isospin modes are also determined and found to be B(Ωc0→π+Ω(2012)-)×B(Ω(2012)-→K-Ξ0)/B(Ωc0→π+K-Ξ0)=(9.6±3.2(stat.) ±1.8(syst.))% and B(Ωc0→π+Ω(2012)-)×B(Ω(2012)-→K¯0Ξ-)/B(Ωc0→π+K¯0Ξ-)=(5.5±2.8(stat.) ±0.7(syst.))%.

Abstract: International audience; Charged lepton flavor violation is forbidden in the Standard Model but possible in several new physics scenarios. In many of these models, the radiative decays $\tau^{\pm}\rightarrow\ell^{\pm}\gamma$ ($\ell=e,\mu$) are predicted to have a sizeable probability, making them particularly interesting channels to search at various experiments. An updated search via $\tau^{\pm}\rightarrow\ell^{\pm}\gamma$ using full data of the Belle experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 988 fb$^{-1}$, is reported for charged lepton flavor violation. No significant excess over background predictions from the Standard Model is observed, and the upper limits on the branching fractions, $\mathcal{B}(\tau^{\pm}\rightarrow \mu^{\pm}\gamma)$$\leq$$4.2\times10^{-8}$ and $\mathcal{B}(\tau^{\pm}\rightarrow e^{\pm}\gamma)$$\leq$$5.6\times10^{-8}$, are set at 90% confidence level.

Abstract: We search for lepton-number- and baryon-number-violating decays $\tau^{-}\to\overline{p}e^{+}e^{-}$, $pe^{-}e^{-}$, $\overline{p}e^{+}\mu^{-}$, $\overline{p}e^{-}\mu^{+}$, $\overline{p}\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$, and $p\mu^{-}\mu^{-}$ using 921 fb$^{-1}$ of data, equivalent to $(841\pm12)\times 10^6$ $\tau^{+}\tau^{-}$ events, recorded with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. In the absence of a signal, $90\%$ confidence-level upper limits are set on the branching fractions of these decays in the range $(1.8$-$4.0)\times 10^{-8}$. We set the world's first limits on the first four channels and improve the existing limits by an order of magnitude for the last two channels., Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures, 1 table

Abstract: We present measurements of the branching fractions for the decays $B\to K \mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ and $B\to K e^{+}e^{-}$, and their ratio ($R_{K}$), using a data sample of 711 $fb^{-1}$ that contains $772 \times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ events. The data were collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. The ratio $R_{K}$ is measured in four bins of dilepton invariant-mass squared, $q^{2}$; the results are \begin{eqnarray*} R_{K} = \begin{cases} 0.95~ ^{+0.27}_{-0.24} \pm 0.06 & q^{2} \in (0.1,4.0)~\mathrm{\,GeV^2}c^4 \, , 0.81~ ^{+0.28}_{-0.23} \pm 0.05 & q^{2} \in (4.0,8.12)~\mathrm{\,GeV^2}c^4 \, , 0.98~ ^{+0.27}_{-0.23} \pm 0.06 & q^{2} \in (1.0,6.0)~\mathrm{\,GeV^2}c^4 \, , 1.11~ ^{+0.29}_{-0.26} \pm 0.07 & q^{2} > 14.18~\mathrm{\,GeV^2}c^4 \, . \end{cases} \end{eqnarray*} The first uncertainties listed are statistical, and the second uncertainties are systematic. The $R_{K}$ value in the whole $q^2$ range is found to be $1.06~ ^{+0.15}_{-0.14} \pm 0.07$. We also measure $CP-$averaged isospin asymmetries in the same $q^{2}$ bins; the results are consistent with a null asymmetry with the largest difference of 2.7 standard deviations is found in the $q^{2}\in(1.0,6.0)~\mathrm{\,GeV^2}c^4 \,$ bin in the mode with muon final states. The measured branching fractions are $\cal B\rm{\it(B\to K \mu^{+}\mu^{-})}= (5.5 \pm0.5 \pm0.3) \times 10^{-7}$ and $\cal B\rm{\it(B\to K e^{+}e^{-})} = (5.1 \pm 0.5 \pm0.3) \times 10^{-7}$. These results are compatible with standard model expectations.

Abstract: We present a measurement of $R_{K^{\ast}}$, the ratio of the branching fractions ${\cal B}(B\to K^\ast \mu^+ \mu^-)$ and ${\cal B}(B\to K^\ast e^+ e^-)$, for both charged and neutral $B$ mesons. The ratio for charged $B$ mesons, $R_{K{^{\ast +}}}$, is the first measurement ever performed. The analysis is based on a data sample of $711~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, containing $772\times 10^{6}$ $B\bar B$ events, recorded at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The obtained results are consistentwith Standard Model expectations.

Abstract: We report the study of \OK \ and \SK \ using a $772 \times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pair data sample recorded on the $\Upsilon({\rm 4S})$ resonance with the Belle detector at KEKB. The following branching fractions are measured: $\mathcal{B}$(\OKPHSP) $=$ $(4.22^{+0.45}_{-0.44}\pm 0.51)\times10^{-6}$, $\mathcal{B}$(\SKPHSP) $=$ $(3.81^{+0.39}_{-0.37} \pm 0.45)\times 10^{-6}$, $\mathcal{B}$(\ETACD+c.c.) $=$ $(2.91^{+0.37}_{-0.35}\pm 0.36)\times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}$(\PLPHI) $=$ $(8.18 \pm 2.15 \pm 0.79)\times10^{-7}$, where c.c. denotes the corresponding charge-conjugation process. The intermediate resonance decays are excluded in the four-body decay measurements. We also found evidences for $\mathcal{B}$(\ETACS+c.c.) $=$ $(3.59 \pm 1.52 \pm 0.47) \times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}$(\LLKO) $=$ $(2.30 \pm 0.65 \pm 0.25) \times 10^{-6}$. No significant signals are found for \JPSIS+c.c. and \LLKS \ ; we set the 90\% confidence level upper limits on their decay branching fractions as $< 1.85\times10^{-3}$ and $< 2.14\times10^{-6}$, respectively., Comment: 20 pages, 7 figures, 3 tables Submitted to Phys. Abstract: We report a measurement of the branching fraction and final-state asymmetry for the $\bar{B}^{0}\to K^{0}_{S}K^{\mp}\pi^{\pm}$ decays. The analysis is based on a data sample of 711 $\rm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. We obtain a branching fraction of $(3.60\pm0.33\pm0.15)\times10^{-6}$ and a final-state asymmetry of $(-8.5\pm8.9\pm0.2)\%$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. Abstract: We present a new measurement of the CKM matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ from $B^{0} \to D^{*-} \ell^+ \nu_\ell$ decays, reconstructed with the full Belle data set of $711 \, \rm fb^{-1}$ integrated luminosity. Two form factor parameterizations, originally conceived by the Caprini-Lellouch-Neubert (CLN) and the Boyd, Grinstein and Lebed (BGL) groups, are used to extract the product $\mathcal{F}(1)\eta_{\rm EW}|V_{cb}|$ and the decay form factors, where $\mathcal{F}(1)$ is the normalization factor and $\eta_{\rm EW}$ is a small electroweak correction. In the CLN parameterization we find $\mathcal{F}(1)\eta_{\rm EW}|V_{cb}| = (35.06 \pm 0.15 \pm 0.56) \times 10^{-3}$, $\rho^{2}=1.106 \pm 0.031 \pm 0.007$, $R_{1}(1)=1.229 \pm 0.028 \pm 0.009$, $R_{2}(1)=0.852 \pm 0.021 \pm 0.006$. For the BGL parameterization we obtain $\mathcal{F}(1)\eta_{\rm EW}|V_{cb}|= (34.93 \pm 0.23 \pm 0.59)\times 10^{-3}$, which is consistent with the World Average when correcting for $\mathcal{F}(1)\eta_{\rm EW}$. The branching fraction of $B^{0} \to D^{*-} \ell^+ \nu_\ell$ is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(B^{0}\rightarrow D^{*-}\ell^{+}\nu_{\ell}) = (4.90 \pm 0.02 \pm 0.16)\%$. We also present a new test of lepton flavor universality violation in semileptonic $B$ decays, $\frac{{\cal B }(B^0 \to D^{*-} e^+ \nu)}{{\cal B }(B^0 \to D^{*-} \mu^+ \nu)} = 1.01 \pm 0.01 \pm 0.03~$. The errors correspond to the statistical and systematic uncertainties respectively. This is the most precise measurement of $\mathcal{F}(1)\eta_{\rm EW}|V_{cb}|$ and form factors to date and the first experimental study of the BGL form factor parameterization in an experimental measurement.

Abstract: We present the first measurements of branching fractions of rare tau-lepton decays, $\tau^- \rightarrow \pi^- \nu_{\tau} \ell^+ \ell^-$ ($\ell = e$ or $\mu$), using a data sample corresponding to 562 fb$^{-1}$ collected at a center-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. The $\tau^- \rightarrow \pi^- \nu_\tau e^+ e^-$ decay is observed for the first time with 7.0$\sigma$ significance. The partial branching fraction determined by the structure-dependent mechanisms mediated by either a vector or an axial-vector current for the mass region $M_{\pi e e}>1.05$ GeV/$c^2$ is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(\tau^-\rightarrow \pi^- \nu_\tau e^+ e^-)[M_{\pi^- e^+ e^-}>1.05~{\rm GeV}/c^2] = (5.90 \pm 0.53 \pm 0.85 \pm 0.11) \times 10^{-6}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is due to the model dependence. In the full phase space, due to the different detection efficiencies for the structure-dependent mechanisms mediated by axial-vector and vector currents, the branching fraction varies from $\mathcal{B}_{A}(\tau^-\rightarrow \pi^- \nu_\tau e^+ e^-) = (1.46 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.21) \times 10^{-5}$ to $\mathcal{B}_{V}(\tau^-\rightarrow \pi^- \nu_\tau e^+ e^-) = (3.01 \pm 0.27 \pm 0.43) \times 10^{-5}$, respectively. An upper limit is set on the branching fraction of the $\tau^- \rightarrow \pi^- \nu_\tau \mu^+ \mu^-$ decay, $\mathcal{B}(\tau^-\rightarrow \pi^- \nu_\tau \mu^+ \mu^-) < 1.14 \times 10^{-5}$, at the 90% confidence level., Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures, accepted by PRD(RC)

Abstract: We report the results of a search for the decay $B^0 \to X(3872)(\to J/\psi \pi^+ \pi^-) \gamma$. The analysis is performed on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $711\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ and containing $772 \times 10^6 B\bar{B}$ pairs, collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider running at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance energy. We find no evidence for a signal and place an upper limit of $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to X(3872)\gamma)\times \mathcal{B}(X(3872) \to J/\psi \pi^+ \pi^-) < 5.1 \times 10^{-7}$ at 90% confidence level., Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures

Abstract: We present the first measurements of the absolute branching fractions of $\Xi_c^+$ decays into $\Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+$ and $p K^- \pi^+$ final states. Our analysis is based on a data set of $(772\pm 11)\times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. We measure the absolute branching fraction of $\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}$ with the $\Xi_c^+$ recoiling against $\bar{\Lambda}_c^-$ in $\bar{B}^0$ decays resulting in ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}) = [1.16 \pm 0.42(\rm stat.) \pm 0.15(\rm syst.)] \times 10^{-3}$. We then measure the product branching fractions ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_c^- \Xi_c^+){\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+)$ and ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_c^- \Xi_c^+){\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to p K^- \pi^+)$. Dividing these product branching fractions by $\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}$ yields: ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+) = [2.86 \pm 1.21(\rm stat.) \pm 0.38(\rm syst.)]\%$ and ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to p K^- \pi^+)=[0.45 \pm 0.21(\rm stat.) \pm 0.07(\rm syst.)]\%$. Our result for ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+)$ can be combined with $\Xi_c^+$ branching fractions measured relative to $\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+$ to set the absolute scale for many $\Xi_c^+$ branching fractions., Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures, accepted for publication as a Rapid Communication in Physical Review D

Abstract: International audience; We present the first measurements of absolute branching fractions of Ξc0 decays into Ξ-π+, ΛK-π+, and pK-K-π+ final states. The measurements are made using a dataset comprising (772±11)×106 BB¯ pairs collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- collider. We first measure the absolute branching fraction for B-→Λ¯c-Ξc0 using a missing-mass technique; the result is B(B-→Λ¯c-Ξc0)=(9.51±2.10±0.88)×10-4. We subsequently measure the product branching fractions B(B-→Λ¯c-Ξc0)B(Ξc0→Ξ-π+), B(B-→Λ¯c-Ξc0)B(Ξc0→ΛK-π+), and B(B-→Λ¯c-Ξc0)B(Ξc0→pK-K-π+) with improved precision. Dividing these product branching fractions by the result for B-→Λ¯c-Ξc0 yields the following branching fractions: B(Ξc0→Ξ-π+)=(1.80±0.50±0.14)%, B(Ξc0→ΛK-π+)=(1.17±0.37±0.09)%, and B(Ξc0→pK-K-π+)=(0.58±0.23±0.05)%. For the above branching fractions, the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. Our result for B(Ξc0→Ξ-π+) can be combined with Ξc0 branching fractions measured relative to Ξc0→Ξ-π+ to yield other absolute Ξc0 branching fractions.

Abstract: We report the results of a search for the $B \to Y(4260) K, ~Y(4260)\to J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$ decays. This study is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 711~fb$^{-1}$, collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We investigate the $J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$ invariant mass distribution in the range 4.0 to 4.6 GeV/$c^2$ using both $B^+ \to J/\psi \pi^+\pi^- K^+$ and $B^0 \to J/\psi \pi^+\pi^- K^0_S$ decays. We find excesses of events above the background levels, with a significances of 2.1 and 0.9 standard deviations for charged and neutral $B \to Y(4260) K$ decays, respectively, taking into account the systematic uncertainties. These correspond to upper limits on the product of branching fractions, ${\cal B}(B^+ \to Y(4260) K^+) \times {\cal B}(Y(4260) \to J/\psi \pi^+ \pi^-), Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures, 3 tables

Abstract: We report measurements of isospin asymmetry $\Delta_{0-}$ and difference of direct $CP$ asymmetries $\Delta A_{CP}$ between charged and neutral $B \to X_s \gamma$ decays. This analysis is based on the data sample containing $772 \times 10^6 B\bar{B}$ pairs that was collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric $e^+ e^-$ collider. Using a sum-of-exclusive technique with invariant $X_s$ mass up to 2.8~GeV/$c^2$, we obtain $\Delta_{0-} = \bigl[-0.48 \pm 1.49 {\rm (stat.)} \pm 0.97 {\rm (syst.)} \pm 1.15 {(f_{+-}/f_{00})}\bigr]$\% and $\Delta A_{CP} = \bigl[+3.69 \pm 2.65 {\rm (stat.)} \pm 0.76{\rm (syst.)}\bigr]$\%, where the last uncertainty for $\Delta_{0-}$ is due to the uncertainty on the production ratio of $B^+B^-$ to $B^0\bar{B}^0$ in $\Upsilon(4S)$ decays. The measured value of $\Delta_{0-}$ is consistent with zero, allowing us to constrain the resolved photon contribution in the $B \to X_s \gamma$, and improve the branching fraction prediction. The result for $\Delta A_{CP}$ is consistent with the prediction of the SM. We also measure the direct $CP$ asymmetries for charged and neutral $B \to X_s \gamma$ decays. Abstract: We present first evidence that the cosine of the CP-violating weak phase $2\beta$ is positive, and hence exclude trigonometric multifold solutions of the CKM Unitarity Triangle using a time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis of $B^{0} \to D^{(*)} h^{0}$ with $D \to K_{S}^{0} \pi^{+} \pi^{-}$ decays, where $h^{0} \in \{\pi^{0}, \eta, \omega \}$ denotes a light unflavored and neutral hadron. The measurement is performed combining the final data sets of the BaBar and Belle experiments collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance at the asymmetric-energy B factories PEP-II at SLAC and KEKB at KEK, respectively. The data samples contain $( 471 \pm 3 )\times 10^6\, B\bar{B}$ pairs recorded by the BaBar detector and $( 772 \pm 11 )\times 10^6\, B\bar{B}$ pairs recorded by the Belle detector. The results of the measurement are $\sin{2\beta} = 0.80 \pm 0.14 \,(\rm{stat.}) \pm 0.06 \,(\rm{syst.}) \pm 0.03 \,(\rm{model})$ and $\cos{2\beta} = 0.91 \pm 0.22 \,(\rm{stat.}) \pm 0.09 \,(\rm{syst.}) \pm 0.07 \,(\rm{model})$. The result for the direct measurement of the angle $\beta$ of the CKM Unitarity Triangle is $\beta = \left( 22.5 \pm 4.4 \,(\rm{stat.}) \pm 1.2 \,(\rm{syst.}) \pm 0.6 \,(\rm{model}) \right)^{\circ}$. The quoted model uncertainties are due to the composition of the $D^{0} \to K_{S}^{0} \pi^{+} \pi^{-}$ decay amplitude model, which is newly established by performing a Dalitz plot amplitude analysis using a high-statistics $e^{+}e^{-} \to c\bar{c}$ data sample. CP violation is observed in $B^{0} \to D^{(*)} h^{0}$ decays at the level of $5.1$ standard deviations. The significance for $\cos{2\beta}>0$ is $3.7$ standard deviations. The trigonometric multifold solution $\pi/2 - \beta = (68.1 \pm 0.7)^{\circ}$ is excluded at the level of $7.3$ standard deviations. Abstract: Using data recorded with the Belle detector, we observe a new excited hyperon, an $\Omega^{*-}$ candidate decaying into $\Xi^0K^-$ and $\Xi^-K^0_S$ with a mass of $2012.4\pm0.7\ {\rm (stat)\pm\ 0.6\ (\rm syst)}\ {\rm MeV}/c^2$ and a width of $\Gamma=6.4^{+2.5}_{-2.0}\ {\rm(stat)}\pm1.6\ {\rm(syst)}\ {\rm MeV}$. The $\Omega^{*-}$ is seen primarily in $\Upsilon(1S), \Upsilon(2S)$, and $\Upsilon(3S)$ decays., Comment: Submitted to PRL

Abstract: Using data samples of 89.5~fb$^{-1}$, 711.0~fb$^{-1}$, and 121.4~fb$^{-1}$ collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider at center-of-mass energies 10.52 GeV, 10.58 GeV, and 10.867 GeV, respectively, we study the exclusive reactions $e^+e^-\to\gamma\chi_{cJ}$ ($J = 0,~1,~2$) and $e^+e^-\to\gamma\eta_c$. A significant $\gamma \chi_{c1}$ signal is observed for the first time at $\sqrt{s}=10.58$ GeV with a significance of $5.1\sigma$ including systematic uncertainties. No significant excesses for $\gamma \chi_{c0}$, $\gamma \chi_{c2}$, and $\gamma \eta_c$ final states are found, and we set 90\% credibility level upper limits on the Born cross sections ($\sigma_{\rm B}$) at 10.52 GeV, 10.58 GeV, and 10.867~GeV. Together with cross sections measured by BESIII at lower center-of-mass energies, the energy dependency of $\sigma_{\rm B}(e^+e^-\to\gamma\chi_{c1})$ is obtained., Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures

Abstract: We report searches for the processes $e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\chi_{bJ}$ and $e^+e^-\to\phi\chi_{bJ}$ (J=1,2) based on data samples collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB collider. We report the first observation of the process $e^+e^-\to (\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0)_{\rm non-\omega}\chi_{b1}$ and first evidence for $e^+e^-\to\omega\chi_{bJ}$ in the vicinity of the $\Upsilon(11020)$ resonance, with center-of-mass energies from 10.96 to 11.05~GeV. The significances for $(\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0)_{\rm non-\omega}\chi_{b1}$ and $\omega\chi_{bJ}$ are greater than $5.3\sigma$ and $4.0\sigma$, respectively. We also investigate the energy dependence of the $e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\chi_{bJ}$ cross section, but we cannot determine whether the contributions are from the $\Upsilon(10860)$ and $\Upsilon(11020)$ resonances or non-resonant continuum processes. The signals for $e^+e^-\to \phi\chi_{bJ}$ are not significant, and the upper limits of the Born cross sections at the 90\% confidence level are $0.7$ and $1.0$~pb for $e^+e^-\to \phi\chi_{b1}$ and $\phi\chi_{b2}$, respectively, for center-of-mass energies from 10.96 to 11.05~GeV., Comment: 8pages, 3 figures

Abstract: We measure the branching fraction and time-dependent $CP$-violating asymmetry for $B^0\to J/\psi\pi^0$ decays using a data sample of 711 ${\rm fb^{-1}}$ collected on the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance by the Belle experiment running at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. The branching fraction is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(B^0\to J/\psi\pi^0) = [1.62\,\pm 0.11~({\rm stat}) \pm0.07~({\rm syst})]\times 10^{-5}$, which is the most precise measurement to date. The measured $CP$ asymmetry parameters are $\mathcal{S} = -0.59\,\pm 0.19~({\rm stat}) \pm 0.03~({\rm syst})$ and $\mathcal{A} = -0.15\,\pm 0.14~({\rm stat})\,^{+0.04}_{-0.03}~({\rm syst})$. The mixing-induced $CP$ asymmetry ($\mathcal{S}$) differs from the case of no $CP$ violation by 3.0 standard deviations, and the direct $CP$ asymmetry ($\mathcal{A}$) is consistent with zero., Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures, submitted to Phys. Abstract: We report a measurement of the branching fraction of the decay $B \rightarrow D^{(*)}\pi \ell\nu$. The analysis uses 772$\times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs produced in $e^+e^-\rightarrow \Upsilon(4S)$ data recorded by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The tagging $B$ meson in the decay is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode. On the signal side, we reconstruct the decay $B \rightarrow D^{(*)}\pi \ell\nu$ $(\ell=e,\mu)$. The measured branching fractions are $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \rightarrow D^-\pi^+ \ell^+\nu)$ = [4.55 $\pm$ 0.27 (stat.) $\pm$ 0.39 (syst.)]$\times 10^{-3}$, $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \rightarrow \bar{D}^0\pi^- \ell^+\nu)$ = [4.05 $\pm$ 0.36 (stat.) $\pm$ 0.41 (syst.)]$\times 10^{-3}$, $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \rightarrow D^{*-}\pi^+ \ell^+\nu)$ = [6.03 $\pm$ 0.43 (stat.) $\pm$ 0.38 (syst.)]$\times 10^{-3}$, and $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \rightarrow \bar{D}^{*0}\pi^- \ell^+\nu)$ = [6.46 $\pm$ 0.53 (stat.) $\pm$ 0.52 (syst.)]$\times 10^{-3}$. Abstract: We present the result of the search for the rare $B$ meson decay of $B^+ \to \ell^{\,+} \nu_{\ell} \gamma$ with $\ell =e,\mu$. For the search the full data set recorded by the Belle experiment of $711 \, \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ integrated luminosity near the $\Upsilon (4S)$ resonance is used. Signal candidates are reconstructed for photon energies $E_{\gamma}$ larger than $1 \, \mathrm{GeV}$ using a novel multivariate tagging algorithm. The novel algorithm fully reconstructs the second $B$ meson produced in the collision using hadronic modes and was specifically trained to recognize the signal signature in combination with hadronic tag-side $B$ meson decays. This approach greatly enhances the performance. Background processes that can mimic this signature, mainly charmless semileptonic decays and continuum processes, are suppressed using multivariate methods. The number of signal candidates is determined by analyzing the missing mass squared distribution as inferred from the signal side particles and the kinematic properties of the tag-side $B$ meson. No significant excess over the background-only hypothesis is observed and upper limits on the partial branching fraction $ \Delta \mathcal{B} $ with $E_{\gamma}> 1 \, \mathrm{GeV}$ individually for electron and muon final states as well as for the average branching fraction of both lepton final states are reported. We find a Bayesian upper limit of $\Delta \mathcal{B}( B^{+} \to \ell^{\, +} \nu_{\ell} \gamma) < 3.0 \times 10^{-6}$ at 90% CL and also report an upper limit on the first inverse moment of the light-cone distribution amplitude of the $B$ meson of $\lambda_B$ at 90% CL.

Abstract: The first search for $Z_{c}$ pair production in $\Upsilon(1S)$ and $\Upsilon(2S)$ decays and in $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation at $\sqrt{s}$ = 10.52, 10.58, and 10.867 GeV is conducted using data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider. No significant signals are observed in any of the studied modes, and the 90\% credibility level upper limits on their product branching fractions in $\Upsilon(1S)$ and $\Upsilon(2S)$ decays (${\cal B}(\Upsilon(1S,2S)\to Z^{+}_{c}Z^{(\prime) -}_{c})\times{\cal B}(Z^{+}_{c}\to\pi^{+}+c\bar c)$ ($c\bar c=J/\psi$, $\chi_{c1}(1P)$, $\psi(2S)$)) and the product of Born cross section and branching fraction for $e^{+}e^{-} \to Z^{+}_{c}Z^{(\prime) -}_{c}$ ($\sigma(e^+e^- \to Z^{+}_{c}Z^{(\prime) -}_{c})\times {\cal B}(Z^{+}_{c} \to \pi^+ +c\bar c)$) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 10.52, 10.58, and 10.867 GeV are determined. Here, $Z_{c}$ refers to the $Z_{c}(3900)$ and $Z_{c}(4200)$ observed in the $\pi J/\psi$ final state, the $Z_{c1}(4050)$ and $Z_{c2}(4250)$ in the $\pi\chi_{c1}(1P)$ state, and the $Z_{c}(4050)$ and $Z_{c}(4430)$ in the $\pi\psi(2S)$ state., Comment: 16 pages, 10 figures, 6 tables

Abstract: We report a measurement of time-dependent $CP$ violation parameters in ${B^0 \to K_S^0 \eta \gamma}$ decays. The study is based on a data sample, containing ${772 \times 10^6 B\bar{B}}$ pairs, that was collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We obtain the $CP$ violation parameters of ${{\cal S} = -1.32 \pm 0.77 {\rm (stat.)} \pm 0.36{\rm (syst.)}}$ and ${{\cal A} = -0.48 \pm 0.41 {\rm (stat.)} \pm 0.07{\rm (syst.)}}$ for the invariant mass of the $K_S^0 \eta$ system up to 2.1 GeV/$c^2$., Comment: 18pages, 9figures. the version resubmitted to PRD
