- Abstract
Information systems success is about understanding and measuring the impact of Information Technology which enables organisations to make intelligent decisions about technological investments (DeLone and McLean, 2003). The objective of this thesis was to understand the factors that contribute to information success of Learning Analytics (LA) systems at Australian universities. This interpretive qualitative research study also sought to understand what factors contributed to learning and teaching outcomes as well as identifying the factors critical to successful implementation and use. While substantial research exists on LA systems and their usages, there are still limited empirical studies that examine the success of LA implementations, as many Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are still in very early stages of their LA system implementations. Recent studies have shown that LA can provide unique opportunities to provide support in contemporary learning and teaching practices, support educators decision-making and improved learning design.
