Aim : To understand the views of nursing students about the education of healthcare management in terms of their academic background. Method: this is a qualitative study developing theory based on a data approach. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews with 18 students of two different Brazilian universities. To analyze the information, we used open, axial and selective codification. Results: the identification of defined categories: recognizing the interconnections among the subjects helped the client as a whole; associating healthcare management to the understanding of the real physical and mental necessities of the client; understanding healthcare management as a wide and complex activity related to the direct and indirect healthcare of the client, and; related to the fact there is a higher emphasis on the theoretical content compared with the practical, especially regarding healthcare management, which empowers the client with a more humanized and more complete healthcare service. Conclusion: the students understand that management, in the face of institutional demands, is a strategy to develop better healthcare

Problema: apreender como os mestres profissionais de enfermagem vem produzindo tecnologicamente, tanto em direcao a: atender as necessidades dos clientes e facilitar o trabalho da equipe de enfermagem. Objetivo: Analisar a producao tecnologica que emerge das dissertacoes do Mestrado Profissional em Enfermagem Assistencial, no periodo de 2006 a 2012, tendo em vista a captacao das perspectivas paradigmaticas que direcionam os produtos do Mestrado Profissional em Enfermagem Assistencial. Metodo: estudo descritivo e analitico a partir dos dados coletados das dissertacoes disponibilizadas no Banco de Teses e da producao cientifica sobre tecnologias de enfermagem constantes nas bases de dados online, nos ultimos dez anos: 2003 a 2013. A analise e discussao dos resultados serao fundamentadas na sintese descritiva e analitica a luz da legislacao relativa aos mestrados profissionais, da literatura cientifica nacional correlata e com aporte teorico multirreferencial.

Entendemos vulnerabilidade como conceito capaz de propiciar transformacoes nas praticas de atendimento a saude, porque, em seu bojo e imprescindivel pensa-las como sociais e historicas, requerendo o trabalho de diferentes setores da sociedade e atuacao transdisciplinar. Objetivo : identificar publicacoes nacionais e internacionais que abordam a vulnerabilidade para o HIV/AIDS entre individuos com transtornos mentais atendidos nos servicos destinados ao atendimento em saude mental. Metodo : revisao integrativa de literatura realizada em 2012, nas bases de dados online Medline e Lilacs. Resultado : Encontraram-se artigos nacionais e internacionais predominando o enfoque em adolescentes. Apos leitura e analise, se evidenciou um atendimento despreparado para cuidar de pessoas contaminadas pelo HIV/AIDS ou infeccoes sexualmente transmissiveis e em situacao de vulnerabilidade para essas enfermidades. Conclusao : o atendimento de saude a essa clientela deve considerar suas caracteristicas adquiridas no processo de adoecimento psiquico, dependencia institucional e perda de vinculos sociais

Introduction: Heart failure is a syndrome that affect 10 individuals in 1000 after 65 years old in the United States of America. It is considered the final way of all cardiologic diseases and is estimated to be the first cause of death in the world around 2025. Some studies point to poor quality of life in clients with this syndrome. Objective : This study sought to verify the contribution of nursing care based on sensitive listening contributes to improvement quality of life in heart failures clients. Method: It was a prospective quasi-experimental study that used the Minnesota questionnaire to evaluate the quality of life of heart failure clients. Results: We observed a significant improvement of quality of life after 4 months of nursing care follow-up (20.8 ± 18.1 vs. 32.9 ± 20.1 p Conclusion: We concluded that the implementation of a technology that focuses the subject during nursing care has been shown to be effective and improving health and quality of life of patients with heart failure.

Introduction: A selection from the project named Promoting Healthy Life Styles and Habits at the UERJ College of Nursing, where the professors departed from the following question : if we contribute to nurses’ education, whose essence is care-taking, can we teach them, while taking care and doing research? Objectives : To discuss care-taking learning-teaching process in the development of the project and analyze how students express the experience of developing research and learning care-taking at the same time. Methodology : Descriptive research of qualitative nature, whose subjects were six students. Data was collected in March 2009 through interviews. The theoretical basis was Paulo Freire’s concepts on education and educational process and Pedro Demo’s concepts on research. Data was submitted to content analysis. The following categories are found in the results : care-taking learning-teaching process, the influences of studying in the learning-teaching process and the experience of learning care-taking and researching through research. The conclusion was that, it is by getting along together, interacting in the same space, researching, teaching and learning, that nursing students learned the care-taking concepts – they went through a transformation process and will certainly help transform other subjects . care

Assuming that nursing assessment for heart failure clients help us to face the changes in your daily, we enquire what the contribution of sensible listening applied to nursing assessment. The purpose is to identify the needs of care creating a new way to care/research sensibly through nursing appointment. The methodology of quantitative character and exploratory applied in the form of evaluation was performed by 50 clients in an hospital in Rio de Janeiro. It was found that 100% of the people have lack of knowledge about HF, followed by diet and medicines. Analyzing social field, there is a majority of 38% with no commitment to treatment, 36% with poor economic conditions and 32% related to bad nutrition. Nursing interventions were applied to solve problems identified beyond medicative therapy, allowing the client to have an exclusive treatment extended to its mental/intellectual and spiritual dimensions.

In the development of the nursing assistance, the role of the nurse is to create and to support practical of more humanitarian care. Then, which the activities implemented by nurse in the administration of taking care of? In this study it is had as objective to identify and to describe the activities developed for the nurse to taking care of the hospitalized client. It was chosen the analytical descriptive research through the individual interview applied to 13 residents of nursing, of general hospital of Rio de Janeiro-Brazil, in 2006. The developed activities had been categorized in direct cares, indirect cares and not developed indirect cares. It was observed the predominance of activities of forecast and provision of material and the implementation of the medicinal therapy. We conclude that, in the administration of the process of work of the nursing assistance to the client, aspects of bureaucratic character predominate. Therefore, the act of taking care in nursing implemented by the subjects of this research, although idealized as a care practice, discloses traditional aspects of a model that follows the decisions of the evaluation and medical therapy

This research had looked for the necessities of nursing care of outpatients with congestive heart failure, through systematic nursing consultation supported in sensible listening. It was an exploratory research using the research/take care technique considering the nursing consultation phases as methodological and technological instruments based on sensible listening theorized by Barbier. Among the cares necessities diagnosis, it was observed that all the citizens had lack of knowledge on its illness and the type of specific diet for its disease. It was confirmed that health education was necessary to be promoted by nursing, not focusing the actions only for physical aspects of the illness. Therefore if using social and sensitivity techniques, costumers can better perceive their necessities not verbalized by themselves.

O cliente com doença renal crônica sofre mudanças em seu cotidiano tais como dieta, controle de líquidos, perda nas relações sociais e baixa auto-imagem, que geram estresse e conflitos, interferindo na sua adesão ao tratamento. Para minimizar esta situação, deve-se desenvolver um programa educativo para explicação da doença renal e importância do autocuidado e tratamento conservador para clientes em fase pré-diálise. Isto porque estes clientes se não orientados e acompanhados previamente ingressarão de forma abrupta em uma das terapias dialíticas em condições clínicas inadequadas, um dos fatores responsáveis pelo aumento dos custos ao sistema de saúde e do trabalho de enfermagem especializada, além de desconforto, sofrimento e desgaste sofrido pelo cliente submetido.
