The article presents a case study of a 71-year-old man who was taken to the emergency room due to proctorrhagia. He has a history of radical prostatectomy and subsequent radio therapy. He underwent colonoscopy, which revealed the presence of sigmoid diverticular disease and chronic hemorrhagic radiation proctitis involving the distal of the rectum. The efficacy of rectal band litigation for the treatment of extensive chronic hemorrhagic radiation proctitis is discussed.
