With the large-scale growth and grid connection of intermittent renewable energy such as wind and solar, the problem of increasing renewable energy curtailment rate and system backup flexibility has become increasingly prominent. In order to solve the problem of high proportion of renewable energy scientific consumption and flexible and stable operation of energy system. We propose a flexible and economical dispatch method based on data-driven multi-regional power system. For the problem of economic dispatch of multi-area power system, a mathematical calculation model is established to satisfy the constraints of unit output, system power balance, unit ramp rate, and valve point effect, and to consider the requirement of minimizing the cost of multi-area power load comprehensively. Based on data-driven, this paper adopts an improved fruit fly optimization algorithm to quickly find the global optimal solution. The calculations are performed by IEEE6 simulation test system, and the results verify the feasibility of the proposed algorithm. The improved fruit fly optimization algorithm is compared and analyzed with other algorithms considering the quality of the obtained solutions. The results show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm in solving multi-area economic dispatching problems in real power systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The evolution of power system is a dynamic and complex process. Whether the evolution of power system can adapt to the macro environment and develop with all subsystems within the system depends on the matching and integration development among different evolutionary subjects. Based on the dissipation theory and Brusselator model, this paper constructs an evolutionary synergy model of the power system, and quantitatively analyzes the evolutionary synergy relationship between the evolving subjects of the power system and the overall evolutionary process of the power system. Then, from the socio- technical system transformation theory, we analyze the evolutionary elements of macro-environmental level, meso-institutional level and micro-beneficial level in the process of system transformation in China and the interaction among them. Finally, by comparing the entropy changes of the evolutionary participant subjects and the overall power system at each stage, the endogenous mechanism of the power system, the external elements and their interactions on the system development are studied in order to reveal the evolutionary synergistic law of China's power system and make suggestions for the development of the new power system. In response to China’s goal of “carbon peak and carbon neutrality”, a large number of new energy sources are connected to the power grid, and Chinese cities are also accelerating the construction of new power systems led by new energy. Taking Lishui City as an example, this paper constructs a low-carbon emission reduction evaluation system to evaluate the carbon reduction effectiveness of the new power system. This paper first introduces the basic technical characteristics of the new power system, and introduces in detail the key technologies involved in the construction of the new power system in Lishui. Then, the projects implemented by Lishui City in promoting the new power system and the current achievements were briefly summarized. After that, a new electric carbon traceability model of Lishui power system was constructed to carry out carbon traceability and carbon tracking for the municipal power grid. Finally, a low-carbon emission reduction evaluation system was constructed, and a number of evaluation indicators were proposed to evaluate the carbon reduction effectiveness of Lishui’s new power system, and the zero-carbon evaluation index was calculated through the historical data of Lishui, and the results showed that the new power system in Lishui City achieved remarkable results in carbon reduction and emission reduction.

The increasingly frequent extreme events pose a serious threat to the resilience of the power system. At the same time, the power grid is transforming into a new type of clean and low-carbon power system due to severe environmental issues. The system shows strong randomness with a high proportion of renewable energy, which has increased the difficulty of maintaining the safe and stable operation of the power system. Therefore, it is urgent to improve the resilience of the new power system. This paper first elaborates on the concept of power system resilience, listing the characteristics of new power systems and their impact on grid resilience. Secondly, the evaluation methods for resilient power grids are classified into two categories, and measures to improve the resilience of the new power system are reviewed from various stages of disasters. Then, the critical technologies for improving the resilience of the new power system are summarized. Finally, the prospective research directions for new power system resilience enhancement are expounded.

In the construction of new power system, traditional methods and capabilities for regulating the power grid are no longer applicable due to the increasing types and quantities of source, load and storage agents. Currently, research on the participation of these agents in the electricity market has mainly focused on either traditional power systems or the demand side, without exploring the potential interaction between them. To address this issue, this paper proposes a real-time pricing regulation mechanism that incorporates source, load and storage agents into regulation. This mechanism is suitable for new power systems and satisfies the interests of the agents while meeting the needs of grid regulation. Specifically, it is based on time-of-use and real-time pricing regulation mechanisms. In a simulated scenario of load shifting, the proposed pricing regulation mechanism effectively meets the grid regulation requirements and improves the stability of grid operation. Overall, this approach offers a promising solution for the regulation of new power system with diverse and complex agents.

Aiming at the problem of insufficient adaptability to the new elements of the new power system in the current distribution network investment method, this paper innovatively proposes a distribution network investment method based on the new power system. By constructing a source-grid-load-storage-side investment calculation model, the investment in the new power system can be accurately calculated. First, the distributed power investment is calculated from the two aspects of new construction and renovation. Secondly, construct the grid investment demand and grid investment capacity measurement model, and obtain the grid side investment model by weighted summation. Then, a model for calculating the scale of investment that can be saved due to demand-side response is constructed, and the cost of demand response is subtracted to obtain a model for calculating the scale of investment that can be saved on the load side. Finally, the energy storage side investment calculation model is constructed from the power supply side, grid side, user-side energy storage investment, and energy storage investment benefit. The research results are applied to the empirical area, and scientific guidance is provided to realize the precise investment in the area.
