Adverse weather conditions such as rain and haze often lead to a degradation in the quality of maritime images, which is crucial for activities like navigation, fishing, and search and rescue. Therefore, it is of great interest to develop an effective algorithm to recover high-quality maritime images under adverse weather conditions. This paper proposes a prompt-based learning method with degradation perception for maritime image restoration, which contains two key components: a restoration module and a prompting module. The former is employed for image restoration, whereas the latter encodes weather-related degradation-specific information to modulate the restoration module, enhancing the recovery process for improved results. Inspired by the recent trend of prompt learning in artificial intelligence, this paper adopts soft-prompt technology to generate learnable visual prompt parameters for better perceiving the degradation-conditioned cues. The complexity of the emotional presentation of users to Artificial Intelligence (AI) virtual assistants is mainly manifested in user motivation and social emotion, but the current research lacks an effective conversion path from emotion to acceptance. This paper innovatively cuts from the perspective of trust, establishes an AI virtual assistant acceptance model, conducts an empirical study based on the survey data from 240 questionnaires, and uses multilevel regression analysis and the bootstrap method to analyze the data. The results showed that functionality and social emotions had a significant effect on trust, where perceived humanity showed an inverted U relationship on trust, and trust mediated the relationship between both functionality and social emotions and acceptance. The findings explain the emotional complexity of users toward AI virtual assistants and extend the transformation path of technology acceptance from the trust perspective, which has implications for the development and design of AI applications. There has been growing attention to multi-class classification problems, particularly those challenges of imbalanced class distributions. To address these challenges, various strategies, including data-level re-sampling treatment and ensemble methods, have been introduced to bolster the performance of predictive models and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms in scenarios where excessive level of imbalance is present. While most research and algorithm development have been focused on binary classification problems, in health informatics there is an increased interest in the field to address the problem of multi-class classification in imbalanced datasets. Multi-class imbalance problems bring forth more complex challenges, as a delicate approach is required to generate synthetic data and simultaneously maintain the relationship between the multiple classes. The aim of this review paper is to examine over-sampling methods tailored for medical and other datasets with multi-class imbalance. Out of 2,076 peer-reviewed papers identified through searches, 197 eligible papers were chosen and thoroughly reviewed for inclusion, narrowing to 37 studies being selected for in-depth analysis. These studies are categorised into four categories: metric, adaptive, structure-based, and hybrid approaches. The most significant finding is the emerging trend toward hybrid resampling methods that combine the strengths of various techniques to effectively address the problem of imbalanced data. Background: It is not known how large language models, such as ChatGPT, can be applied toward the assessment of the efficacy of medications, including in the prevention of migraine, and how it might support those claims with existing medical evidence. Methods: We queried ChatGPT-3.5 on the efficacy of 47 medications for the prevention of migraine and then asked it to give citations in support of its assessment. ChatGPT's evaluations were then compared to their FDA approval status for this indication as well as the American Academy of Neurology 2012 evidence-based guidelines for the prevention of migraine. The citations ChatGPT generated for these evaluations were then assessed to see if they were real papers and if they were relevant to the query. Results: ChatGPT affirmed that the 14 medications that have either received FDA approval for prevention of migraine or AAN Grade A/B evidence were effective for migraine. Its assessments of the other 33 medications were unreliable including suggesting possible efficacy for four medications that have never been used for the prevention of migraine. Critically, only 33/115 (29%) of the papers ChatGPT cited were real, while 76/115 (66%) were "hallucinated" not real papers and 6/115 (5%) shared the names of real papers but had not real citations. Conclusion: While ChatGPT produced tailored answers on the efficacy of the queried medications, the results were unreliable and inaccurate because of the overwhelming volume of "hallucinated" articles it generated and cited. This paper explores and analyses from the perspective of artificial intelligence, combining students' visual-spatial skills and students' specific attribute characteristics to construct an expert system, which defines the prediction of academic performance as a classification problem corresponding to the five categories of excellent, good, moderate, passing, and weak, respectively, and based on which a deep neural network-based classification prediction model for students' performance is designed. The experimental results show that visual-spatial skills plays an important role in the professional learning of science and engineering students, while the classification model designed in this paper has high accuracy in the grade prediction process. Objectives: Early gastric cancer (EGC) is defined as aggressive gastric cancer involving the gastric mucosa and submucosa. Early detection and treatment of gastric cancer are beneficial to patients. In recent years, many studies have focused on endoscopic diagnosis and therapy for EGC. Exploring new methods to analyze data to enhance knowledge is a worthwhile endeavor, especially when numerous studies exist. This study aims to investigate research trends in endoscopy for EGC over the past 20 years using bibliometric analysis. Methods: Original articles and reviews examining the use of endoscopy for EGC published from 2000 to 2022 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection, and bibliometric data were extracted. Microsoft Office Excel 2016 was used to show the annual number of published papers for the top 10 countries and specific topics. VOSviewer software was used to generate network maps of the cooccurrences of keywords, authors, and topics to perform visualization network analysis. Results: In total, 1,009 published papers met the inclusion criteria. Japan was the most productive country and had the highest number of publications (452, 44.8%), followed by South Korea (183, 18.1%), and China (150, 14.9%). The National Cancer Center of Japan was the institution with the highest number of publications (48, 4.8%). Ono was the most active author and had the highest number of cited publications. Through the network maps, exploring endoscopic diagnosis and therapy were major topics. Artificial intelligence (AI), convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and deep learning are hotspots in endoscopic diagnosis. Helicobacter pylori eradication, second-look endoscopy, and follow-up management were examined. Conclusions: This bibliometric analysis investigated research trends regarding the use of endoscopy for treating EGC over the past 20 years. In recent years there has been growing interest in the use of machine learning across the pharmacovigilance lifecycle to enhance safety monitoring of drugs and vaccines. Here we describe the scope of industry-based research into the use of machine learning for safety purposes. We conducted an examination of the findings from a previously published systematic review; 393 papers sourced from a literature search from 2000–2021 were analyzed and attributed to either industry, academia, or regulatory authorities. Overall, 33 papers verified to be industry contributions were then assigned to one of six categories representing the most frequent PV functions (data ingestion, disease-specific studies, literature review, real world data, signal detection, and social media). RWD and social media comprised 63% (21/33) of the papers, signal detection and data ingestion comprised 18% (6/33) of the papers, while disease-specific studies and literature reviews represented 12% (4/33) and 6% (2/33) of the papers, respectively. Herein we describe the trends and opportunities observed in industry application of machine learning in pharmacovigilance, along with discussing the potential barriers. We conclude that although progress to date has been uneven, industry is very interested in applying machine learning to the pharmacovigilance lifecycle, which it is hoped may ultimately enhance patient safety. Recent developments in the fields of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) have shown significant improvements in automatic text processing. At the same time, the expression of human language plays a central role in the detection of mental health problems. Whereas spoken language is implicitly assessed during interviews with patients, written language can also provide interesting insights to clinical professionals. Existing work in the field often investigates mental health problems such as depression or anxiety. However, there is also work investigating how the diagnostics of eating disorders can benefit from these novel technologies. In this paper, we present a systematic overview of the latest research in this field. Our investigation encompasses four key areas: (a) an analysis of the metadata from published papers, (b) an examination of the sizes and specific topics of the datasets employed, (c) a review of the application of machine learning techniques in detecting eating disorders from text, and finally (d) an evaluation of the models used, focusing on their performance, limitations, and the potential risks associated with current methodologies. This paper explores a paradigm shift in work culture in the contemporary art sector due to digital transition and the introduction of AI. New ways of working with AI and digital software are embedded and normalized in everyday Chinese artistic practices. This work includes new forms of creativity and efficiency, yet, simultaneously includes new types of digital labour. This paper conceptualizes this as "digital art work," which draws attention to the often-overlooked aspects of artists' work, particularly their everyday artistic practices that increasingly include digital software and AI. What is the role and position of the artist in an environment where digital software and AI are becoming more central in artistic creation? How do artists creatively (mis)use AI? What does this paradigm shift in work culture mean for the future of the artist's role and the future of the contemporary art sector? This paper draws on 48 semi-structured interviews with visual artists and arts professionals, including painters, sculptors, mixedmedia, and internet artists as well as contemporary art gallery owners, museum project directors, curators, and culture policymakers living and working in China during 2023. The findings show how Chinese artists are mastering AI and opening up new spaces for creativity and how the contemporary art sector in China has already transitioned to a new "digital way" in artistic creation. Recent years, the tremendous number of distributed energy resources, electric vehicles are integrated into the Low-Voltage Distribution Network (LVDN), large amount of data are generated by edge devices in LVDN. The cloud data centers are unable to process these data timely and accurately, making it impossible to meet the demand for fine-grained control of LVDN. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a flexible orchestration of lightweight artificial intelligence (AI) for edge computing in LVDN. Firstly, the application requirements of LVDN are analysed through feature extraction of its historical data, and a lightweight AI library is constructed to meet its requirements. Secondly, based on the multifactor priority, a flexible orchestration model is established, to allow the lightweight AI embedded in the edge devices of the LVDN. Finally, the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to provide the best solution. The simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper can support the deployment of AI at the edge. Introduction: A rapid and reliable neuropsychological protocol is essential for the efficient assessment of neurocognitive constructs related to emergent neurodegenerative diseases. We developed an AI-assisted, digitally administered/scored neuropsychological protocol that can be remotely administered in -10min. This protocol assesses the requisite neurocognitive constructs associated with emergent neurodegenerative illnesses. Methods: The protocol was administered to 77 ambulatory care/memory clinic patients (56.40% women; 88.50% Caucasian). The protocol includes a 6-word version of the Philadelphia (repeatable) Verbal Learning Test [P(r)VLT], three trials of 5 digits backward fromthe Backwards Digit Span Test (BDST), and the "animal" fluency test. The protocol provides a comprehensive set of traditional "core" measures that are typically obtained through paper-and-pencil tests (i.e., serial list learning, immediate and delayed free recall, recognition hits, percent correct serial order backward digit span, and "animal" fluency output). Additionally, the protocol includes variables that quantify errors and detail the processes used in administering the tests. It also features two separate, norm-referenced summary scores specifically designed to measure executive control and memory. Results: Using four core measures, we used cluster analysis to classify participants into four groups: cognitively unimpaired (CU; n = 23), amnesticmild cognitive impairment (MCI; n = 17), dysexecutive MCI (n = 23), and dementia (n = 14). Subsequent analyses of error and process variables operationally defined key features of amnesia (i.e., rapid forgetting, extra-list intrusions, profligate responding to recognition foils); key features underlying reduced executive abilities (i.e., BDST items and dysexecutive errors); and the strength of the semantic association between successive responses on the "animal" fluency test. Executive and memory index scores effectively distinguished between all four groups. There was over 90% agreement between how cluster analysis of digitally obtained measures classified patients compared to classification using a traditional comprehensive neuropsychological protocol. The correlations between digitally obtained outcome variables and analogous paper/pencil measures were robust. Discussion: The digitally administered protocol demonstrated a capacity to identify patterns of impaired performance and classification similar to those observed with standard paper/pencil neuropsychological tests. The inclusion of both core measures and detailed error/process variables suggests that this protocol can detect subtle, nuanced signs of early emergent neurodegenerative illness efficiently and comprehensively. In recent years, Internet of Things security incidents occur frequently, which is often accompanied by malicious events. Therefore, anomaly detection is an important part of Internet of Things security defense. In this paper, we create a process whitelist based on the K-Core decomposition method for detecting anomalous processes in IoT devices. The method first constructs an IoT process network according to the relationships between processes and IoT devices. Subsequently, it creates a whitelist and detect anomalous processes. Our work innovatively transforms process data into a network framework, employing K-Core analysis to identify core processes that signify high popularity. Then, a threshold-based filtering mechanism is applied to formulate the process whitelist. Experimental results show that the unsupervised method proposed in this paper can accurately detect anomalous processes on real-world datasets. Introduction: Moral Intelligence (MI) as a concept has gained importance in recent years due to its wide applicability in individual, organizational, and clinical settings or even policy making. The present study employed Bibliometric analysis to understand the emerging topics associated with MI and its global research trend. This paper's primary aim was (i) to explore the temporal and geographic growth trends of the research publication on MI. (ii) to identify the most prolific countries, institutions, and authors, working on MI, (iii) to identify the most frequent terminologies, (iv) to explore research topics and to provide insight into potential collaborations and future directions, and (v) to explore the significance of the concept of moral intelligence. Method: Bibliometric analysis was used to understand the emerging topics associated with MI and its global research trend using the SCOPUS database. VOS viewer and R were employed to analyze the result. Through the analysis conducted, the development of the construct over time was analyzed. Results: Results have shown that Iran and the United States and these two combined account for 53.16% of the total country-wise publications. Switzerland has the highest number of Multi-county publications. Authors from Iran and Switzerland have the most number of publications. Emerging topics like decision-making, machine ethics, moral agents, artificial ethics, co-evolution of human and artificial moral agents, green purchase intention etc were identified. Discussion: The application of MI in organisational decision-making, education policy, artificial intelligence and measurement of moral intelligence are important areas of application as per the results. The recent explosion of Large Language Models (LLMs) has provoked lively debate about "emergent" properties of the models, including intelligence, insight, creativity, and meaning. These debates are rocky for two main reasons: The emergent properties sought are not well-defined; and the grounds for their dismissal often rest on a fallacious appeal to extraneous factors, like the LLM training regime, or fallacious assumptions about processes within the model. The latter issue is a particular roadblock for LLMs because their internal processes are largely unknown - they are colossal black boxes. In this paper, I try to cut through these problems by, first, identifying one salient feature shared by systems we regard as intelligent/conscious/sentient/etc., namely, their responsiveness to environmental conditions that may not be near in space and time. They engage with subjective worlds ("s-worlds") which may or may not conform to the actual environment. Observers can infer s-worlds from behavior alone, enabling hypotheses about perception and cognition that do not require evidence from the internal operations of the systems in question. The reconstruction of s-worlds offers a framework for comparing cognition across species, affording new leverage on the possible sentience of LLMs. Here, we examine one prominent LLM, OpenAI's GPT-4. Inquiry into the emergence of a complex subjective world is facilitated with philosophical phenomenology and cognitive ethology, examining the pattern of errors made by GPT-4 and proposing their origin in the absence of an analogue of the human subjective awareness of time. This deficit suggests that GPT-4 ultimately lacks a capacity to construct a stable perceptual world; the temporal vacuum undermines any capacity for GPT-4 to construct a consistent, continuously updated, model of its environment. Accordingly, none of GPT-4's statements are epistemically secure. Because the anthropomorphic illusion is so strong, I conclude by suggesting that GPT-4 works with its users to construct improvised works of fiction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study explores the transformative potential of fourth industrial revolution (called Industry 4.0) technologies in the context of poverty elimination, with a particular focus on Africa. Given the multidimensional nature of poverty, which spans economic, social, and environmental aspects, there is a critical need for innovative and sustainable solutions. This paper presents a comprehensive literature review to identify how recent advancements, such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, blockchain, big data, and 5G can be harnessed to address various facets of poverty. Drawing on insights from existing research and expert opinions, we propose a conceptual framework that integrates these technologies with strategic policy interventions, infrastructure development, and capacity building. The paper proposes a framework that illustrates the prerequisite requirements before adopting Industry 4.0 technologies in poverty elimination efforts. This framework aims to ensure that the benefits of technological innovations are accessible to the most vulnerable populations, thereby contributing to the broader goals of socioeconomic development and poverty reduction. The work shows that while Industry 4.0 presents a critical opportunity for sustainable development and poverty elimination in Africa, it needs to have essential capacities to optimize the use of observations, visualizations, and mindset management before or when adopting the first stage of Industry 4.0 solutions for poverty elimination. There has been growing interest in research on news-related user comments. Here we conduct the first systematic review of this literature--quantitatively and qualitatively (248 studies)--that covers the entire communication process (content analyses, surveys, experiments). Results indicate a focus on online news articles (vs videos) and little consideration for major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok). Research often assesses incivility in comments but offers conflicting conclusions on the actual level of incivility in comment threads-- and seldom considers how to effectively combat any incivility. We propose four priorities for future work: more comparative and longitudinal approaches; exploring social media and video content; examining platform design, content moderation and artificial intelligence; and implementing measures to reduce incivility and protect the integrity of journalism. Background: Lung cancer (LC) is the second-highest incidence and the first-highest mortality cancer worldwide. Early screening and precise treatment of LC have been the research hotspots in this field. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has advantages in many aspects of LC and widely used such as LC early diagnosis, LC differential classification, treatment and prognosis prediction. Objective: This study aims to analyze and visualize the research history, current status, current hotspots, and development trends of artificial intelligence in the field of lung cancer using bibliometric methods, and predict future research directions and cutting-edge hotspots. Results: A total of 2931 articles published between 2003 and 2023 were included, contributed by 15,848 authors from 92 countries/regions. Among them, China (40%) with 1173 papers,USA (24.80%) with 727 papers and the India(10.2%) with 299 papers have made outstanding contributions in this field, accounting for 75% of the total publications. The primary research institutions were Shanghai Jiaotong University(n=66),Chinese Academy of Sciences (n=63) and Harvard Medical School (n=52).Professor Qian Wei(n=20) from Northeastern University in China were ranked first in the top 10 authors while Armato SG (n=458 citations) was the most co-cited authors. This paper reviews the current research progress in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based on ischemic stroke imaging, analyzes the main challenges, and explores future research directions. This study emphasizes the application of AI in areas such as automatic segmentation of infarct areas, detection of large vessel occlusion, prediction of stroke outcomes, assessment of hemorrhagic transformation risk, forecasting of recurrent ischemic stroke risk, and automatic grading of collateral circulation. The research indicates that Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) technologies have tremendous potential for improving diagnostic accuracy, accelerating disease identification, and predicting disease progression and treatment responses. However, the clinical application of these technologies still faces challenges such as limitations in data volume, model interpretability, and the need for real-time monitoring and updating. This article forms part of a series on "openness," "non-linearity," and "embodiedhealth" in the post-physical, informational (virtual) era of society. This is vital given that the threats posed by advances in artificial intelligence call for a holistic, embodied approach. Typically, health is separated into different categories, for example, (psycho)mental health, biological/bodily health, genetic health, environmental health, or reproductive health. However, this separation only serves to undermine health; there can be no separation of health into subgroups (psychosomatics, for example). Embodied health contains no false divisions and relies on "optimism" as the key framing value. Optimism is only achieved through the mechanism/enabling condition of openness. Openness is vital to secure the embodied health for individuals and societies. Optimism demands that persons become active participants within their own lives and are not mere blank slates, painted in the colors of physical determinism (thus a move away from nihilism-which is the annihilation of freedom/autonomy/ quality). To build an account of embodied health, the following themes/aims are analyzed, built, and validated: (1) a modern re-interpretation and validation of German idealism (the crux of many legal-ethical systems) and Freud; (2) ascertaining the bounded rationality and conceptual semantics of openness (which underlies thermodynamics, psychosocial relations, individual autonomy, ethics, and as being a central constitutional governmental value for many regulatory systems); (3) the link between openness and societal/individual embodied health, freedom, and autonomy; (4) securing the role of individualism/ subjectivity in constituting openness; (5) the vital role of nonlinear dynamics in securing optimism and embodied health; (6) validation of arguments using the methodological scientific value of invariance (generalization value) by drawing evidence from (i) information and computer sciences, (ii) quantum theory, and (iii) bio-genetic evolutionary evidence; and (7) a validation and promotion of the inalienable role of theoretic philosophy in constituting embodied health, and how modern society denigrates embodied health, by misconstruing and undermining theoretics. Thus, this paper provides and defends an up-to-date non-physical account of embodied health by creating a psychophysical-biological-computational-philosophical construction. However, with the dramatic increase in the volume and complexity of the collected behavioral data, this is now beginning to change. This paper aims to systematize the field of automation in canine science. In addition, via an empirical study with researchers in animal behavior, we explore their perceptions and attitudes toward automated approaches for better understanding barriers for a wider adoption of automation. While the world struggles to recover from the devastation wrought by the widespread spread of COVID-19, monkeypox virus has emerged as a new global pandemic threat. In this paper, a high precision and lightweight classification network MpoxNet based on ConvNext is proposed to meet the need of fast and safe detection of monkeypox classification. In this method, a two-branch depthseparable convolution residual Squeeze and Excitation module is designed. This design aims to extract more feature information with two branches, and greatly reduces the number of parameters in the model by using depth-separable convolution. In addition, our method introduces a convolutional attention module to enhance the extraction of key features within the receptive field. The experimental results show that MpoxNet has achieved remarkable results in monkeypox disease classification, the accuracy rate is 95.28%, the precision rate is 96.40%, the recall rate is 93.00%, and the F1-Score is 95.80%. This is significantly better than the current mainstream classification model. It is worth noting that the FLOPS and the number of parameters of MpoxNet are only 30.68% and 31.87% of those of ConvNext-Tiny, indicating that the model has a small computational burden and model complexity while efficient performance. In the context of rapid advancement in automation and increasing global warming, understanding the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on carbon emissions (CES) is a cutting-edge research topic. However, there is limited focus in existing research on the nonlinear carbon reduction effect (CRE) of AI. This paper first theoretically elaborates the dual impact mechanisms of AI on CES and illuminates the nonlinear carbon reduction mechanisms of AI. Then, this study employs panel data encompassing 30 Chinese provinces between 1997 and 2019 to empirically test the net effect of AI on CES and the nonlinear carbon reduction effect of AI through econometric models. The results are as follows: first, although AI can both reduce and increase CES, AI primarily helps decrease CES. This conclusion holds true even after considering robustness, endogeneity, and spatial heterogeneity. Secondly, relative to the central and western regions, AI has significant achievement in reducing carbon intensity and per capita CES in the eastern region. However, there is still room for improvement in terms of reducing the total CES in the eastern region. Thirdly, improving the AI development level (AIDL) can magnify the marginal CRE of AI and lead to a nonlinear CRE of AI. Lastly, even if the AIDL remains constant, improving the level of marketization, human capital, digital infrastructure, economic development, openness, and government intervention can also amplify the marginal CRE of AI and lead to a nonlinear CRE of AI. To fully harness the potential of AI for green development, concerted efforts should be directed towards enhancing the innovation and application of AI technologies with carbon reduction potential. Trustworthiness is the most significant predictor of trust and has a significant impact on people's levels of trust. Most trustworthiness-related research is empirical, and while it has a long history, it is challenging for academics to get insights that are applicable to their fields of study and to successfully transfer fragmented results into practice. In order to grasp their dynamic development processes through the mapping of network knowledge graphs, this paper is based on the Web of Science database and uses CiteSpace (6.2.R4) software to compile and visualize the 1,463 publications on trustworthy studies over the past 10 years. This paper aims to provide valuable references to theoretical research and the practice of Trustworthiness. Background: With similarities in heritability, neurobiology and symptomatology, the question has been raised whether schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are truly distinctive disorders or belong to a continuum. This narrative review summarizes common and distinctive findings from genetics, neuroimaging, cognition and clinical course that may help to solve this ethiopathogenetic puzzle. Methods: The authors conducted a literature search for papers listed in PubMed and Google Scholar, using the search terms "schizophrenia" and "bipolar disorder" combined with different terms such as "genes", "neuroimaging studies", "phenomenology differences", "cognition", "epidemiology". Articles were considered for inclusion if they were written in English or Spanish, published as full articles, if they compared subjects with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, or subjects with either disorder with healthy controls, addressing differences between groups. Results: Several findings support the hypothesis that schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are discrete disorders, yet some overlapping of findings exists. The evidence for heritability of both SZ and BD is obvious, as well as the environmental impact on individual manifestations of both disorders. Neuroimaging studies support subtle differences between disorders, it appears to be rather a pattern of irregularities than an unequivocally unique finding distinguishing schizophrenia from bipolar disorder. The cognitive profile displays differences between disorders in certain domains, such as premorbid intellectual functioning and executive functions. Finally, the timing and trajectory of cognitive impairment in both disorders also differs. Conclusion: The question whether SZ and BD belong to a continuum or are separate disorders remains a challenge for further research. Currently, our research tools may be not precise enough to carve out distinctive, unique and undisputable differences between SZ and BD, but current evidence favors separate disorders. Given that differences are subtle, a way to overcome diagnostic uncertainties in the future could be the application of artificial intelligence based on BigData. Limitations: Despite the detailed search, this article is not a full and complete review of all available studies on the topic. To this end, this paper designed a flexible wearable sensor motion monitoring system and tested its performance through the preparation and performance research of new functional polymer conjugated materials. The research results show that the motion monitoring system designed based on the new functional polymer conjugated material flexible wearable sensor has good monitoring accuracy and real-time performance. When the output data is 500 pieces, the running monitoring accuracy reaches 95.4%, and the monitoring feedback time is 0.321 s; the high jump movement monitoring accuracy rate reaches 97%, and the monitoring feedback time is 0.287 s; the long jump movement monitoring accuracy rate reaches 96%, and the monitoring feedback time is 0.296 s. Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is an adverse hepatic drug reaction that can potentially lead to life-threatening liver failure. Previously published work in the scientific literature on DILI has provided valuable insights for the understanding of hepatotoxicity as well as drug development. However, the manual search of scientific literature in PubMed is laborious and time-consuming. Natural language processing (NLP) techniques along with artificial intelligence/machine learning approaches may allow for automatic processing in identifying DILIrelated literature, but useful methods are yet to be demonstrated. To address this issue, we have developed an integrated NLP/machine learning classification model to identify DILI-related literature using only paper titles and abstracts. For prediction modeling, we used 14,203 publications provided by the Critical Assessment of Massive Data Analysis (CAMDA) challenge, employing word vectorization techniques in NLP in conjunction with machine learning methods. Classification modeling was performed using 2/3 of the data for training and the remainder for test in internal validation. The best performance was achieved using a linear support vector machine (SVM) model on the combined vectors derived from term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) and Word2Vec, resulting in an accuracy of 95.0% and an F1-score of 95.0%. The final SVM model constructed from all 14,203 publications was tested on independent datasets, resulting in accuracies of 92.5%, 96.3%, and 98.3%, and F1-scores of 93.5%, 86.1%, and 75.6% for three test sets (T1-T3). Furthermore, the SVM model was tested on four external validation sets (V1-V4), resulting in accuracies of 92.0%, 96.2%, 98.3%, and 93.1%, and F1-scores of 92.4%, 82.9%, 75.0%, and 93.3%. Introduction: Facial expression recognition has always been a hot topic in computer vision and artificial intelligence. In recent years, deep learning models have achieved good results in accurately recognizing facial expressions. BILSTM network is such a model. However, the BILSTM network's performance depends largely on its hyperparameters, which is a challenge for optimization. Methods: In this paper, a Northern Goshawk optimization (NGO) algorithm is proposed to optimize the hyperparameters of BILSTM network for facial expression recognition. The proposed methods were evaluated and compared with other methods on the FER2013, FERplus and RAF-DB datasets, taking into account factors such as cultural background, race and gender. Results: The results show that the recognition accuracy of the model on FER2013 and FERPlus data sets is much higher than that of the traditional VGG16 network. The recognition accuracy is 89.72% on the RAF-DB dataset, which is 5.45, 9.63, 7.36, and 3.18% higher than that of the proposed facial expression recognition algorithms DLP-CNN, gACNN, pACNN, and LDL-ALSG in recent 2 years, respectively. Discussion: In conclusion, NGO algorithm effectively optimized the hyperparameters of BILSTM network, improved the performance of facial expression recognition, and provided a new method for the hyperparameter optimization of BILSTM network for facial expression recognition. Introduction: The purpose of this paper is to empirically test the impact of CEO's financial background on industrial AI transformation of manufacturing enterprises based on upper echelons theory and imprinting theory. Methods: The paper preliminarily takes listed manufacturing companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets that are affiliated to enterprise groups from 2014 to 2020 as samples, and manually collects and collates datas of CEO's financial background and industrial AI transformation. The research hypotheses are tested by stata 15.0 software*. Results: It is found that CEO's financial background significantly inhibits the industrial AI transformation of manufacturing enterprises, and when the CEO works part-time in the parent company, it will strengthen the negative impact of CEO's financial background on industrial AI transformation. Further research shows that enterprise financialization plays a partial intermediary role between CEO's financial background and industrial AI transformation; Compared with private enterprise groups, the inhibiting effect of CEO financial background on industrial AI transformation is stronger in state-owned enterprise groups; CEOs with non-banking financial background have a stronger inhibitory effect on industrial AI transformation. Discussion: Firstly, based on the process of making business decisions, it verifies and clarifies the action mechanism of CEO's financial background on industrial AI transformation through internal driving mechanism, which expands the research horizon of industrial AI transformation, and further applies the Imprinting Theory in biology to the research of business decision-making, which forms a beneficial complement to the relevant research on economic consequences of CEO's financial background. Secondly, different from the research of single independent company, this paper focuses on the special situation of parent-subsidiary corporate governance, and explores the mechanism of action, deepening the research on the synergy of enterprise groups. In recent years, sensor components similar to human sensory functions have been rapidly developed in the hardware field, enabling the acquisition of information at a level beyond that of humans, and in the software field, artificial intelligence technology has been utilized to enable cognitive abilities and decision-making such as prediction, analysis, and judgment. These changes are being utilized in various industries and fields. In particular, new hardware and software technologies are being rapidly applied to robotics products, showing a level of performance and completeness that was previously unimaginable. In this paper, we researched the topic of establishing an optimal path plan for autonomous driving using LiDAR sensors and deep reinforcement learning in a workplace without map and grid coordinates for mobile robots, which are widely used in logistics and manufacturing sites. For this purpose, we reviewed the hardware configuration of mobile robots capable of autonomous driving, checked the characteristics of themain core sensors, and investigated the core technologies of autonomous driving. In addition, we reviewed the appropriate deep reinforcement learning algorithm to realize the autonomous driving of mobile robots, defined a deep neural network for autonomous driving data conversion, and defined a reward function for path planning. The contents investigated in this paper were built into a simulation environment to verify the autonomous path planning through experiment, and an additional reward technique "Velocity Range-based Evaluation Method" was proposed for further improvement of performance indicators required in the real field, and the effectiveness was verified. The simulation environment and detailed results of experiments are described in this paper, and it is expected as guidance and reference research for applying these technologies in the field. The question of whether artificial intelligence (AI) can be considered conscious and therefore should be evaluated through a moral lens has surfaced in recent years. In this paper, we argue that whether AI is conscious is less of a concern than the fact that AI can be considered conscious by users during human-AI interaction, because this ascription of consciousness can lead to carry-over effects on human-human interaction. When AI is viewed as conscious like a human, then how people treat AI appears to carry over into how they treat other people due to activating schemas that are congruent to those activated during interactions with humans. In light of this potential, we might consider regulating how we treat AI, or how we build AI to evoke certain kinds of treatment from users, but not because AI is inherently sentient. This argument focuses on humanlike, social actor AI such as chatbots, digital voice assistants, and social robots. In the first part of the paper, we provide evidence for carry-over effects between perceptions of AI consciousness and behavior toward humans through literature on human-computer interaction, human-AI interaction, and the psychology of artificial agents. In the second part of the paper, we detail how the mechanism of schema activation can allow us to test consciousness perception as a driver of carry-over effects between human-AI interaction and human-human interaction. In essence, perceiving AI as conscious like a human, thereby activating congruent mind schemas during interaction, is a driver for behaviors and perceptions of AI that can carry over into how we treat humans. Therefore, the fact that people can ascribe humanlike consciousness to AI is worth considering, and moral protection for AI is also worth considering, regardless of AI's inherent conscious or moral status. The trend in industrial/service robotics is to develop robots that can cooperate with people, interacting with them in an autonomous, safe and purposive way. These are the fundamental elements characterizing the fourth and the fifth industrial revolutions (4IR, 5IR): the crucial innovation is the adoption of intelligent technologies that can allow the development of cyber-physical systems, similar if not superior to humans. The common wisdom is that intelligence might be provided by AI (Artificial Intelligence), a claim that is supported more by media coverage and commercial interests than by solid scientific evidence. AI is currently conceived in a quite broad sense, encompassing LLMs and a lot of other things, without any unifying principle, but self-motivating for the success in various areas. The current view of AI robotics mostly follows a purely disembodied approach that is consistent with the old-fashioned, Cartesian mind-body dualism, reflected in the softwarehardware distinction inherent to the von Neumann computing architecture. The working hypothesis of this position paper is that the road to the next generation of autonomous robotic agents with cognitive capabilities requires a fully brain-inspired, embodied cognitive approach that avoids the trap of mindbody dualism and aims at the full integration of Bodyware and Cogniware. We name this approach Artificial Cognition (ACo) and ground it in Cognitive Neuroscience. It is specifically focused on proactive knowledge acquisition based on bidirectional human-robot interaction: the practical advantage is to enhance generalization and explainability. Moreover, we believe that a braininspired network of interactions is necessary for allowing humans to cooperate with artificial cognitive agents, building a growing level of personal trust and reciprocal accountability: this is clearly missing, although actively sought, in current AI. The ACo approach is a work in progress that can take advantage of a number of research threads, some of them antecedent the early attempts to define AI concepts and methods. This potential extends beyond reshaping conventional practices, like risk assessment, diagnostic support, and treatment and rehabilitation plans, to creating new opportunities in previously underexplored areas, such as training and education. This paper examines the transformative impact of generative artificial intelligence on AI applications in forensic psychiatry and criminal justice. First, it introduces generative AI and its prevalent models. Following this, it reviews the current applications of discriminative AI in forensic psychiatry. Subsequently, it presents a thorough exploration of the potential of generative AI to transform established practices and introduce novel applications through multimodal generative models, data generation and data augmentation. Finally, it provides a comprehensive overview of ethical and legal issues associated with deploying generative AI models, focusing on their impact on individuals as well as their broader societal implications. In conclusion, this paper aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse concerning the dynamic challenges of generative AI applications in forensic contexts, highlighting potential opportunities, risks, and challenges. ML approaches utilize conventional models like Support Vector Machines and Decision Trees, which are interpretable and effective with smaller data sets. In contrast, DL techniques, which use neural networks such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and long short-term memory networks (LSTMs), are more adaptable to intricate EEG patterns but require significant data and computational power. Recent advances in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) could yield new insights into the potential causes of multiple sclerosis (MS) and factors influencing its course as the use of AI opens new possibilities regarding the interpretation and use of big data from not only a cross-sectional, but also a longitudinal perspective. For each patient with MS, there is a vast amount of multimodal data being accumulated over time. But for the application of AI and related technologies, these data need to be available in a machine-readable format and need to be collected in a standardized and structured manner. Through the use of mobile electronic devices and the internet it has also become possible to provide healthcare services from remote and collect information on a patient's state of health outside of regular check-ups on site. Against this background, we argue that the concept of pathways in healthcare now could be applied to structure the collection of information across multiple devices and stakeholders in the virtual sphere, enabling us to exploit the full potential of AI technology by e.g., building digital twins. By going digital and using pathways, we can virtually link patients and their caregivers. Stakeholders then could rely on digital pathways for evidence-based guidance in the sequence of procedures and selection of therapy options based on advanced analytics supported by AI as well as for communication and education purposes. As far as we aware of, however, pathway modelling with respect to MS management and treatment has not been thoroughly investigated yet and still needs to be discussed. X-ray mammography is currently considered the golden standard method for breast cancer screening, however, it has limitations in terms of sensitivity and specificity. With the rapid advancements in deep learning techniques, it is possible to customize mammography for each patient, providing more accurate information for risk assessment, prognosis, and treatment planning. This paper aims to study the recent achievements of deep learning-based mammography for breast cancer detection and classification. This review paper highlights the potential of deep learning-assisted X-ray mammography in improving the accuracy of breast cancer screening. While the potential benefits are clear, it is essential to address the challenges associated with implementing this technology in clinical settings. Future research should focus on refining deep learning algorithms, ensuring data privacy, improving model interpretability, and establishing generalizability to successfully integrate deep learning-assisted mammography into routine breast cancer screening programs. It is hoped that the research findings will assist investigators, engineers, and clinicians in developing more effective breast imaging tools that provide accurate diagnosis, sensitivity, and specificity for breast cancer. This paper will discuss the European funded iToBoS project, tasked by the European Commission to develop an AI diagnostic platform for the early detection of skin melanoma. The paper will outline the project, provide an overview of the data being processed, describe the impact assessment processes, and explain the AI privacy risk mitigation methods being deployed. Following this, the paper will offer a brief discussion of some of the more complex aspects: (1) the relatively low population clinical trial study cohort, which poses risks associated with data distinguishability and the masking ability of the applied anonymisation tools, (2) the project's ability to obtain informed consent from the study cohort given the complexity of the technologies, (3) the project's commitment to an open research data strategy and the additional privacy risk mitigations required to protect the multi-modal study data, and (4) the ability of the project to adequately explain the outputs of the algorithmic components to a broad range of stakeholders. The paper will discuss how the complexities have caused tension which are reflective of wider tensions in the health domain. A project level solution includes collaboration with a melanoma patient network, as an avenue for fair and representative qualification of risks and benefits with the patient stakeholder group. However, it is unclear how scalable this process is given the relentless pursuit of innovation within the health domain, accentuated by the continued proliferation of artificial intelligence, open data strategies, and the integration of multi-modal data sets inclusive of genomics. Digital innovations provide novel opportunities to individualize a person's care to best match their lifestyle needs and circumstances and to support them as they live their daily lives with diabetes. These innovations also serve to provide actionable data and insights for the care team giving them a "Webb telescopelike" view into their individual self-management journey, allowing them to see what cannot be seen during infrequent and limited office visits, thereby facilitating collaboration and communication to optimize the care plan on a timely basis. Technology advances are enabling diabetes care to transition from episodic, synchronous, primarily in-person care to include synchronous virtual care options and to continuous, on-demand, data-informed, asynchronous digital care better matching the demands of living with a relentless 24/7 chronic condition. This paper presents a tangleand contact-free path planning (TCFPP) for a mobile robot attached to a base station with a finite-length cable. This type of robot, called a tethered mobile robot, can endure long-time exploration with a continuous power supply and stable communication via its cable. However, the robot faces potential hazards that endanger its operation such as cable snagging on and cable entanglement with obstacles and the robot. To address these challenges, our approach incorporates homotopy-aware path planning into deep reinforcement learning. The proposed reward design in the learning problem penalizes the cable-obstacle and cable-robot contacts and encourages the robot to follow the homotopy-aware path toward a goal. We consider two distinct scenarios for the initial cable configuration: 1) the robot pulls the cable sequentially from the base while heading for the goal, and 2) the robot moves to the goal starting from a state where the cable has already been partially deployed. The proposed method is compared with naive approaches in terms of contact avoidance and path similarity. Simulation results revealed that the robot can successfully find a contact-minimized path under the guidance of the reference path in both scenarios. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Stroke stands as a prominent cause of mortality and disability worldwide, posing a major public health concern. Recent years have witnessed rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI). Studies have explored the utilization of AI in imaging analysis, assistive rehabilitation, treatment, clinical decision-making, and outcome and risk prediction concerning stroke. However, there is still a lack of systematic bibliometric analysis to discern the current research status, hotspots, and possible future development trends of AI applications in stroke. Methods: The publications on the application of AI in stroke were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection, spanning 2004-2024. Only articles or reviews published in English were included in this study. Subsequently, a manual screening process was employed to eliminate literature not pertinent to the topic. Visualization diagrams for comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the included literature were generated using CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Charticulator. Results: This bibliometric analysis included a total of 2,447 papers, and the annual publication volume shows a notable upward trajectory. The most prolific authors, countries, and institutions are Dukelow, Sean P., China, and the University of Calgary, respectively, making significant contributions to the advancement of this field. Notably, stable collaborative networks among authors and institutions have formed. Through clustering and citation burst analysis of keywords and references, the current research hotspots have been identified, including machine learning, deep learning, and AI applications in stroke rehabilitation and imaging for early diagnosis. Moreover, emerging research trends focus on machine learning as well as stroke outcomes and risk prediction. Conclusion: This study provides a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the literature regarding AI in stroke, facilitating a rapid comprehension of the development status, cooperative networks, and research priorities within the field. Introduction: This work explores the use of eXplainable artificial intelligence (XAI) to analyze a convolutional neural network (CNN) trained for disruption prediction in tokamak devices and fed with inputs composed of different physical quantities. Methods: This work focuses on a reduced dataset containing disruptions that follow patterns which are distinguishable based on their impact on the electron temperature profile. Our objective is to demonstrate that the CNN, without explicit training for these specific mechanisms, has implicitly learned to differentiate between these two disruption paths. With this purpose, two XAI algorithms have been implemented: occlusion and saliency maps. Results: The main outcome of this paper comes from the temperature profile analysis, which evaluates whether the CNN prioritizes the outer and inner regions. Discussion: The result of this investigation reveals a consistent shift in the CNN's output sensitivity depending on whether the inner or outer part of the temperature profile is perturbed, reflecting the underlying physical phenomena occurring in the plasma.
