Norway's NorSun is investing $620 million in a 5GW solar manufacturing facility in Oklahoma, its first US-based factory. Construction is expected to begin in late 2024, with production coming online in 2026. Other solar manufacturers, such as Enel North America, CupicPV, Qcells, First Solar, and Maxeon, have also entered the US market or invested in domestic production capacity. This increase in US-based renewables manufacturing has led to a rise in patent infringement lawsuits. [Extracted from the article]
