The article discusses a study which links iron sulfide to monoethyl-monoethylene glycol (MEG) burping. It looks at similarities between burping occurrences in the still columns of MEG loops in South Pars and Bass Straits gas condensate production and transportation. It also explores the environmental factors to understanding the differences in color and reasons for burping which include gas corrosive component content, changes in temperature and ionic concentration.
