The Painleve property for the coupled Zakharov–Kuznetsov equation is verified with the WTC approach and new exact solutions of bell-type are constructed from standard truncated expansion. A symmetry transformation group theorem is also given out from a simple direct method.

Based on our previous investigation on the reaction mechanism to produce difluorocarbene and subsequent CF 3 I starting with CHF 3 and I 2 , a new route for preparing CF 3 I at a relative low temperature, 200 °C, has been developed via a vapor-phase catalytic reaction between hexafluoropropylene oxide with I 2 in the presence of KF supported on activate charcoal as a catalyst. The influence of reaction temperature and reaction time on the amount of CF 3 I was investigated. In the reaction process, coke-formation was suggested on the surface of catalysts by means of BET, XPS and TG-DTA analysis. The process for the formation of CF 3 I and by-products is also discussed.

During the process of pyrolysis of chlorodifluormethane, trifluoromethane and hexafluoropropylene oxide in the presence of supporters, like activated carbon (AC) and porous aluminum fluoride (PAF), no tetrafluoroethene (TFE) was detected at early time-on-stream (TOS), and some compounds containing CF 3 group were generated instead of the formation of TFE. The pyrolysis process is much different from that without supporters. It is proposed that the disproportionation reaction of CF 2 carbene may take place on the surface of supporters to produce CF 3 radical and carbon.
