A destructive earthquake (Mw 6.1) struck Pasaman, West Sumatra, Indonesia, on 25 February 2022, resulting in at least 18 deaths and damage to 1765 buildings. Our relocated foreshock, mainshock, and aftershocks and their source mechanisms reveal a previously unknown ∼20 km long segment of the Sumatran Fault as a result of dextral strike-slip motion (strike N132oE and dip 72oSW) along what we have called the Kajai Fault. The inverted rupture model indicates a single, compact asperity with an approximate depth range of 2–11 km. This asperity extends ∼14 km along strike, and ∼9 km in the down-dip direction. The Coulomb stress change of the mainshock shows that areas to the north and south experienced an increase in stress, which is consistent with the observed aftershock pattern. The nearby Great Sumatran Fault segments (Angkola and Sumpur) experienced a significant increase in stress without any accompanying aftershocks, which likely increases the risk of them rupturing in the future.

Many researchers around the globe have shifted their focus onto the renewable resources lately. This trend is due to the number of resources that are almost reaching its critical stage hence the exploration of natural fibre composites has also caught the world’s attention. In this research the effect of the number of layers, stacking sequences, and orientation of plain weave jute and ramie fibre single/hybrid composites on tensile properties were investigated. The stacking sequences consisted of two and three layered of laminated composite of pure jute (JJ, JJJ), pure ramie (RR, RRR) and ramie/ramie/ramie (RRR), whereas jute/ramie (JR), jute/jute/ramie (JJR), jute/ramie/jute (JRJ), ramie/jute/ramie (RJR), jute/ramie/ramie (JRR) were included under the hybrid composites category. The comparisons of tensile properties for each of the pure polyester, single, and hybrid composites were evaluated afterwards. The tensile strength and tensile modulus of the composites that was constructed with different fibre direction of warp and weft for each layer were also analyzed. The hand lay-up method was employed for all the fabrication of the composite specimens. From the results, it was observed that the tensile properties of the skin-core type composites (RJR, JRJ) have showed a better performance compared to the skin-eccentric types (RRJ, JJR) with similar ramie content. Attributed to a good fibre rigidity of Ramie fibre, the tensile strength and tensile modulus values could be enhanced with the addition of the ramie content in the composite mixture. The tensile properties were proven to also be improved with the increase number of woven layers in the composite. The Jute/ramie hybrid composite has exhibited very high potential in the future development of the automotive industry.

Background: The incidence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is still increasing rapidly, but little is known about the prevalence and characteristics of fatal cases in children in Indonesia. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of children with COVID-19 with fatal outcomes in a tertiary referral hospital in Indonesia. Methods: This cross-sectional study used data collected from the medical records of patients with COVID-19 admitted to Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia from March to October 2020. Results: During the study period, 490 patients were admitted and diagnosed with suspected and probable COVID-19. Of these patients, 50 (10.2%) were confirmed to have COVID-19, and 20 (40%) had a fatal outcome. The fatality rate was higher in patients aged ≥10 years, categorized with severe disease upon admission, PaO2/FiO2 ratio ≤300 mmHg and chronic underlying diseases. The most common clinical manifestations were generalized symptoms, while acute respiratory distress syndrome (8/20) and septic shock (7/20) were the two most common causes of death. Increased procalcitonin, D-dimer, lactate dehydrogenase and presepsin levels were found in all fatal cases. One patient met the criteria of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children. Conclusion: Our work highlights the high mortality rate in paediatric patients with positive SARS-CoV-2 polymerase chain reaction test. These findings might be related to or co-incided with COVID-19 infection. Further studies are needed to improve understanding of the role of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 in elaborating the mechanisms leading to death in children with comorbidities.

Objective To evaluate the implementation of the Minister of Health of Indonesia Decree No 72/2016 regarding the standards of pharmaceutical services in the hospital. Methods This cross-sectional study is a prospective, quantitative study done in 43 hospitals in 11 provinces in Indonesia in 2017. Result The implementation of the standards of pharmaceutical management ranged over 97.0%. Despite the important role of clinical pharmacy service for patient safety, the implementation of the standards of clinical pharmacy ranged only around 53.5% and predominantly worse in terms of monitoring of drug blood level. A high proportion of hospitals still have not met standard ratios of pharmacists to bed to conduct both managerial and clinical activities. Conclusion There is a need to increase the number of pharmacists and their knowledge through training by professional organizations and breakthrough efforts to increase the ratio of pharmacists per bed.

Nano forsterite powders have been successfully synthesized via ultrasonic assistant for the starting materials and followed by solid reaction and calcination steps. The synthesis products were greenish powders with forsterite as the dominating phase as revealed by XRD data analysis. The formation of forsterite was also confirmed by FTIR spectrometry and supported by SEM images. The phase composition after calcination at 950 °C for 4 h was 93.9 wt% forsterite and 6.1 wt% periclase. The forsterite crystal was nanometric according to the XRD data, while the density of the powder was 2.88 g/cm3. UV–Vis spectrum of the powder showed relatively strong absorption peaks particularly at 635, 660, 670, 680, 695 and 705 nm which can be associated with the greenish color of the product and is different from previous studies. Therefore, it can be concluded that high purity greenish forsterite can be formed at 950 °C calcination temperature as previously reported, except that the raw materials were subjected to ultrasonic treatment.

Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) is a technology developed on a computer to realize a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). It is a challenging task since the lack of data. Some data augmentation methods have been created to increase the data variation, but they do not significantly improve accuracy. Therefore, a new additional data augmentation method called Segment Repetition based on High Amplitude (SRHA) is proposed to solve this problem. This method makes some repetitions on the segments that have the highest amplitude. An experiment of 10 times data augmentation, using five standard augmentations and the additional SRHA with a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) as the classifier, shows that the proposed SRHA significantly increases the SER accuracy from 95.88% to 98.16%. Other experiments for 20 and 40 times data augmentations also show that the SRHA outperforms the five standard augmentations. These indicate that the SRHA is a powerful data augmentation method for SER.

Strengthening character education and positive politeness is an important pillar in selecting textbooks and teaching materials in global era. This study aimed to identify and describe the prophetic education values in Indonesian language textbooks for the VII grade junior high school in their relation to positive politeness to build students' character. The research question is "how are the values of prophetic education as a pillar of politeness and character education in textbooks?". Descriptive qualitative method was employed as the main approach. Data were collected through documentation using read-marker and noting techniques, and analyzed using heuristic and Grice's means-end politeness methods. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using content and comparative document analysis and sharpened by referential pragmatic politeness analysis. The research findings showed several interrelated prophetic education values in relation with the pillars of positive politeness and character education. These values formed the self-sufficiency of students in the Indonesian language textbook of class VII junior high school. They were manifested in the reality oriented to humanization, liberation, and transcendence. Humanization was realized through social life based on the generosity, honesty, tolerance, and politeness values. Similarly, liberation was realized through the education, health, mutual help, and hard work values. Moreover, transcendent life was actualized according to the consistency (

Background The burgeoning health burden in Indonesia requires strengthening primary care services through interprofessional collaboration. Purpose: to explore factors contributing to interprofessional collaboration within health centres Indonesia. Methods Eight focus group discussions involving a range of health professionals from health centres were conducted in four districts in East Java, Indonesia. Thematic analysis was used to generate findings. Results Collaborative practices in Indonesian health centres are directly affected by health professional interactions (personnel level) – hierarchy and lack of role understanding have been reported as barriers to the interactions. These factors are in turn affected by health centre's environment (organisational level) and the Government legislation/policy (health system). The health centre's environment included organisation's culture, team management, physical space, as well as communication and coordination mechanisms. Conclusions Factors contributing to collaborative practices in this setting were complex and intertwined. Structuring collective actions or strategies would be required to address the identified collaborative issues.

Slug flow is the most prevalent problem of two-phase fluid transportation in the petroleum industries. Here, large amplitude waves lead to the pipe blockage that possible to cause the damage of the mechanical structure. The experimental investigation of gas-liquid slug two-phase flow in a horizontal pipe was carried out to investigate the initiation and flow development mechanisms. Air and water were used as the working fluids. The inner pipe diameter was 26 mm. In the present experimental study, the slug initiation mechanisms were explained by visual observation and pressure fluctuations. Moreover, the initiation frequency of slug flow and the evolution of passing slug frequency along the pipeline were also observed by using two high video cameras. As a result, several basic mechanisms of slug flow initiation in a horizontal pipe were clarified. Those were the wave coalescences, the wave growth mechanism, and the large disturbance waves. A flow initiation map was proposed to address those mechanisms. Here, the slug initiation frequency and the passing slug frequency were obtained in relation to the pipe length position. The static pressure measurement was also used to verify the image processing results on the characteristics of slug initiation mechanisms. The obtained qualitative and quantitative results from the investigation can be used to evaluate the recent available models.

Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) is a composite material made from sawdust and plastic as polymer bonding, that used in a variety of structural and non-structural applications. Nowadays, In Indonesia WPC is made from Sengon sawdust and recycled HDPE plastic. This research was conducted in order to investigate the physical and mechanical properties of WPC from Sengon sawdust in accordance with ASTM D7031. From the physical test, due to its water restrains, WPC has low moisture content, water absorption and swelling. For the mechanical properties, the bending strength and shear strength are around 40.49 MPa and 27.35 MPa, respectively. However, the WPC tensile strength is lower than common tropical wood, which is only 5.54 to 12.75 MPa, due to the absence of grain in WPC. Furthermore, the modulus of elasticity is only 2113 to 3398 MPa or around one tenth of that wood or concrete modulus of elasticity. From the withdrawal test shows that sheet metal screw type has the highest withdrawal strength compared to cut thread wood, and fine thread drywall screw. Hence, for structural application it is suggested that the WPC board is used for structural element with high moment inertia such as shear wall as its lower modulus of elasticity but has high shear strength.

Background & Aim Coronary artery disease (CAD) is one of the leading cause of death in the world. Currently, the common therapy for this disease is to use drugs and surgical procedures however the result has been less optimum. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an alternative treatment using Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) and Conditioned Medium (CM). Methods, Results & Conclusion MSCs were obtained from the umbilical cord of eligible donor and process in a cGMP-standardized laboratory certified by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. A 52-year-old subject who experienced Coronary Artery Disease was treated with PCI four years before the stem cell therapy. The subject signed an informed consent for stem cell therapy before the injection. Allogeneic UC-MSC for CAD was packed in a syringe containing 20 ml NaCl 0.9% with cell concentration of 20 × 106. Umbilical Cord-Mesenchymal Stem Cells were administered intravenously and conducted three times over 4 months period. Meanwhile, Conditioned Medium (CM) was applied intranasally with a dose of 0.4 cc/day for a week after each UC-MSCs administrated. Assessment with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) shows improvement on the Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF) from 55% at baseline and 75% at 3 weeks after first stem cell transplantation. Endothelial Cell Progenitor (EPC) count show decreasing the number of EPC cells from 11,893 cells/mL into 4,932 cells/mL. This shows the angiogenesis process takes place after the UC-MSC injection. On the twelve weeks after the first injection, the subject undergo spirometry test and shows improvement in the vital capacity (85% into 94%), forced capacity (85% into 94%), and forced expansion volume (93% into 103%). There are no adverse events occur and the patient experience improvement in physic, MRI, laboratory and spirometry assessment.

We investigated the dependence of Neel temperature as a critical temperature on the electric field and hole-electron doping in the antiferromagnetically ordered zigzag graphene nanoribbon. The temperature was calculated by averaging the magnon energy in the Brillouin zone within the mean-field approximation. We employed the generalized Bloch theorem instead of the supercell approach to reduce the computational cost significantly to obtain the magnon spectrum. We showed that the Neel temperature reduces when increasing both the electric field and the hole-electron doping, thus these treatments will never enhance the Neel temperature.
