The evaluated spectroscopic data are presented for 12 known nuclides of mass 215 (Hg, Tl, Pb, Bi, Po, At, Rn, Fr, Ra, Ac, Th, Pa). For 215 Hg, 215 Tl, 215 Pb, and 215 Pa nuclei, no excited states are known. The decay characteristics of 215 Hg and 215 Tl are unknown. The decay scheme of 215 Pb is considered as incomplete. Ordering of γ cascades in the decay of 36.9–s isomer of 215 Bi and for high–spin states above 2251 keV in 215 Fr are not established. High–spin excitations, including several isomeric states, are well known in 215 Bi, 215 Po, 215 Rn, 215 Fr, 215 Ra, and 215 Ac. No particle–transfer reaction data are available for any of the A=215 nuclei. The rms charge radii for 215 Pb, 215 Bi, 215 Po, 215 Rn, 215 Fr and 215 Ra have been evaluated by Daniel Abriola, from extrapolation or interpolation of available evaluated data in 2013An02 for radii of respective Z chains using formula 9 in 2004An14. This evaluation was carried out as part of ENSDD–workshop at VECC, Kolkata for Nuclear Structure and Decay Data, organized and hosted by VECC and Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) in Kolkata, India, November 26–29, 2012. This work supersedes the previous A = 215 evaluation (2001Br31) published by E. Browne which covered literature prior to May 2001.

We present the results of the analysis of the multi-dimensional potential energy surfaces obtained with a Skyrme-Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov method. Static fission paths are determined using the method of steepest descent and are further analysed to give the heights and widths of the respective fission barriers. Spontaneous fission half-lives and neutron-induced fission cross sections are then calculated and compared with existing experimental data in the actinide region.

A systematic investigation of (p,γ) cross sections of nuclei from Se to Sb is presented. In-beam cross section measurements were carried out at E p = 1.4–5 MeV by using an array of 4 HPGe detectors of 100% relative efficiency shielded with BGO crystals. The S factors obtained are compared with the predictions of the statistical model code MOST.

New nuclear level densities based on the microscopic statistical model are proposed for practical applications. The statistical calculations are performed using the deformed Hartree–Fock–BCS predictions of the ground-state structure properties. The microscopic model includes a consistent treatment of the shell effects, pairing correlations, deformation effects and collective excitations. It predicts the experimental neutron resonance spacings with a degree of accuracy comparable to that of the phenomenological back-shifted Fermi-gas-type formulae. The microscopic level densities are renormalized to the existing experimental data, namely the s-wave neutron resonance spacings and the cumulative number of low-lying levels. Level densities for more than 8000 nuclei are made available in a table format for practical applications.

We propose a new global α-nucleus optical model potential that takes into account the strong energy dependence and nuclear structure effects that characterize the alpha-nucleus interaction. The potential consists of a double-folded real part and a Woods-Saxon imaginary part with a Fermi-type energy dependence. The influence of purely volume absorption, volume plus surface absorption, as well as the dispersive relation is investigated. Three potentials are considered that are able to reproduce the bulk of existing experimental data at low energies. The need for more experimental data in the mass region A ⋍ 100 and A ⋍ 200 is stressed.

As a continuation of a systematic study of reactions relevant to astrophysical p-process, the (p, gamma) or (p, n) cross sections of three Se isotopes have been measured using all activation technique in the proton energy range between 1.3 and 3.6 MeV. The resulting cross sections of the Se-74,Se-76(p, gamma)Br-75,Br-77 and Se-82(p, n)Br-82 reaction have been compared with the predictions of Hauser-Feshbach statistical model calculations rising the NON-SMOKER, and MOST codes. In all three cases the theory is in satisfactory agreement with the measurements.
