Abstract

Δ 3 -Unsaturated 10-membered ring ethers (5,6,7,8,9,10-hexahydro-2 H -oxecins) 11a and 11b have been prepared by intramolecular Pd-catalyzed allylic alkylation. The ethers are formed with E -configurated olefinic double bond and with the chiral centre at carbon C2 intact.
