Thunnus albacares (T.albacares) is plentiful with a promising research value and application. However, research on lipid-reducing activity and gut microbiota of T.albacares eggs yolk glycoprotein (TGP) remains unreported. In this work, we investigated the potential mechanism of TGP intervention to improve the disorders of lipid metabolism, and regulate gut microbiota in mice induced by high-fat diet (HFD). The results demonstrated that TGP improved the dyslipidemia, liver inflammation, and restored the liver tissue structure caused by HFD. TGP prevented lipid overaccumulation by downregulating the relative mRNA expression of lipid synthesis genes. TGP also prevented differential expansion of microbiota, increased the abundance of beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus and Akkermansia , and decreased the abundance of harmful bacteria Desulfovibrio. Moreover, TGP promoted the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). All the above results provided some theoretical basis for the in-depth development and application of TGP as a functional food for obesity and hyperlipidemia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Paecilomyces cicadae are rich in resources and have promising research value and applications. A neutral branched heteropolysaccharide Pc0-1 has been extracted from it in our laboratory previously, the structural features and in vitro activity were also characterized. On this basis, the present research intended to investigate the potential mechanism by which Pc0-1 ameliorated cyclophosphamide (Cy)-induced immunosuppression in mice. The results demonstrated that Pc0-1 could alleviate the atrophy of immune organs and restore the tissue structure of the ileum. Pc0-1 could also alleviate oxidative stress and inflammatory response through reducing the level of lipid peroxidation in serum and maintaining the balance of Th1 and Th2. Meanwhile, Pc0-1 was also able to activate the Nrf2- Keap1 signaling pathway and stabilize Nrf2 by decreasing Keap1 activity, thus promoting the role of NQO1 in maintaining redox stability and HO-1 in preventing inflammation. Furthermore, gut microbial sequencing indicated that Pc0-1 prevented the differential expansion of flora, increased the abundance of beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus and Lachnospiraceae _NK4A136_group , decreased the abundance of harmful bacteria Desulfovibrio and Alistipes , and promoted the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). All these results demonstrated that Pc0-1 could regulate Cy-induced immunosuppression and improve the structure of intestinal flora, providing some theoretical basis for the in-depth development and application of Pc0-1 as an immunomodulator. The numerical calculations with and without rolling motions are conducted to investigate the effect of rolling motion on flow and heat transfer of supercritical CO 2 in a vertical double-pipe heat exchanger. The purpose is to provide the detailed information on heat transfer behaviors for better understanding the abnormal heat transfer mechanism of supercritical fluid in rolling motion. It concludes that the effect of rolling motion on the supercritical CO 2 is much more notable than that on conventional single-phase fluid. The rolling motion can cause the periodic oscillation of the local heat transfer coefficients and suppress the whole heat transfer deterioration. As supercritical CO 2 temperature or mass flux increases, the influences of rolling motion and flow direction on the heat transfer decrease markedly. The secondary flow induced by the rolling motion for upward flow is stronger than that for downward flow, and the influence of rolling motion on the left and right sides of the tube is more obvious than on other locations. The heat transfer deterioration phenomenon weakens gradually as the rolling period decreasing or rolling amplitude increasing. It is important to note that the rolling motion may bring about the large wall temperature oscillation and the wall peak temperature increment to influence the safety of high-pressure pipeline. A floating nuclear power plant (FNPP) is a kind of nuclear power plant on a barge moored specifically in an area of the sea. This study focuses on a severe accident induced by cold leg small break loss of coolant accident (SBLOCA) occurring in a small modular reactor (SMR) in a FNPP of 100 MWt 2-loop pressurized water reactor (PWR) type. The severe accident was modeled using MELCOR computer code. A MELCOR model was developed for the primary and secondary systems, the engineered safety features, and the containment of the SMR. Three severe accident mitigation measures were analyzed using the model, namely the pressurizer (PZR) relief extension, the external vessel reactor cooling (EVRC), and the passive autocatalytic recombiners (PARs). The progression of the severe accident and the effects of three mitigation measures against the severe accident were analyzed. The simulation results indicated that the reactor core was exposed and heat up due to the coolant leakage and finally melted down due to high-pressure and lower-pressure injection failure. However, with the mitigation measures against the severe accident, the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) and containment integrity were maintained, thus preventing the large release of radioactive products into other cabins and the environment. Comparative analysis results also showed that all the three measures performed their scheduled functions and were significant in mitigating the accident. The study is useful in gaining insights into the processes of the severe accident induced by cold leg SBLOCA and can be used to identify appropriate mitigation strategies and countermeasures to deal with the severe accident in the FNPP.
