Our objective was to assess the impact of hs-cTnT elevation on functional outcome and mortality in AIS patients with large vessel occlusion (LVO) in the anterior circulation 3 months after ET and explore factors affecting hs-cTnT elevation. A total of 143 consecutive AIS patients with large vessel occlusion (LVO) in the anterior circulation following ET in a single stroke center were enrolled between January 2015 and November 2017. Hs-cTnT was quantitated on admission. Demographic characteristics, clinical data, functional outcome and all-cause mortality were compared between patients with elevated hs-cTnT levels (>14 ng/L) and those with normal hs-cTnT levels (≤14 ng/L). 58/143(40.6%) patients showed elevated hs-cTnT levels before ET. Factors independently associated with hs-cTnT elevation were admission NIHSS score (OR = 1.08, 95% CI 1.01–1.16, p = 0.032), coronary heart disease (OR = 4.89, 95% CI 1.82–13.11, p = 0.002) and congestive heart failure (OR = 4.10, 95% CI 1.07–15.68, p = 0.039). In the univariate analysis, patients with elevated hs-cTnT levels were at significantly higher risk of 3-month poor outcome (p = 0.029) and mortality (p < 0.001) than those with normal hs-cTnT levels. After multivariable analysis, hs-cTnT elevation remained an independent predictor of 3-month mortality (OR = 4.49, 95% CI 1.68–11.98, p = 0.003). In this cohort of AIS patients with LVO in the anterior circulation undergoing ET, hs-cTnT elevation is an independent predictor of 3-month mortality. • Quasi-brittle failure of flawed granite is evaluated in real time by integrated acousto-optic-mechanics (AOM) multi-physics field characterization methods. • Procedural sample-sized localization instabilities are forecasted and evaluated using the time‐reversed Omori law. • The physics relating to the failure predictability of flawed granite is revealed. Forecasting quasibrittle failure in geomaterials is of paramount importance in the physics of fractures but rarely succeeds. To clarify the physics relating to the failure predictability in a quasibrittle regime, a combined AE (acoustic emission)-DIC (digital image correlation) technique is used in uniaxial compression experiments of flawed granite to trace its damage conditions in real time. The mechanistic correlations of the AE rate-process with the internal FPZ (fracture process zone) development are available. It is shown that the complete record of the AE activities does not meet a deterministic scaling law (e.g., typical time‐reversed Omori law), indicating a challenge in predicting ultimate failure via AE. Subsets of a power law acceleration registered much earlier than ultimate failure imply that the procedural sample-sized localization instability is predictable but still depends on the FPZ dynamic evolutions. More importantly, we find that the coexistence of FPZs and the intermittency of crack growth are the two main reasons for the difficulty of forecasting failure in flawed granite. • Ar-Crk expression in diapause embryos was significantly lower than non-diapause embryos. • Knockdown of Ar-Crk by RNAi induced the formation of diapause embryos. • Downregulation of Ar-Crk led to cell cycle arrest and metabolic suppression. To survive under harsh environments, embryonic development of Artemia was arrested at the gastrula stage and released as the diapause embryo. Cell cycle and metabolism were highly suppressed in this state of quiescence. However, cellular mechanisms underlying diapause remain largely unclear. In this study, we found that the expression level of a CT10 regulator of kinase-encoding gene (Ar-Crk) in diapause embryos was significantly lower than non-diapause embryos at the early embryogenetic stage of Artemia. Knockdown of Ar-Crk by RNA interference induced formation of diapause embryos, while the control group produced nauplii. Western blot analysis and metabolic assays revealed that the diapause embryos produced by Ar-Crk- knocked - down Artemia had similar characteristics of diapause markers, arrested cell cycle, and suppressed metabolism with those diapause embryos produced by natural oviparous Artemia. Transcriptomic analysis of Artemia embryos revealed knockdown of Ar-Crk induced downregulation of the aurora kinase A (AURKA) signaling pathway, as well as energetic and biomolecular metabolisms. Taken together, we proposed that Ar-Crk is a crucial factor in determining the process of diapause in Artemia. Abstract: Precisely quantifying the heterogeneity or disorder of network systems is important and desired in studies of behaviors and functions of network systems. Although various degree-based entropies have been available to measure the heterogeneity of real networks, heterogeneity implicated in the structures of networks can not be precisely quantified yet. Hence, we propose a new structure entropy based on automorphism partition. Analysis of extreme cases shows that entropy based on automorphism partition can quantify the structural heterogeneity of networks more precisely than degree-based entropies. We also summarized symmetry and heterogeneity statistics of many real networks, finding that real networks are more heterogeneous in the view of automorphism partition than what have been depicted under the measurement of degree-based entropies; and that structural heterogeneity is strongly negatively correlated to symmetry of real networks. Abstract: Nitration of asymmetric hydrazones with nitric oxide occurred stereoselectively at C1′-atom, giving mono-nitrated trans isomer as a major outcome. The ratio of trans to cis was up to >99.
