Abstract

[Display omitted] We present the synthesis and characterization of the inter-metalloid clusters R 3 PAuGe 9 (Hyp) 3 Pt(PPh 3) [R = Et, Bu; Hyp = Si(SiMe 3) 3 ] obtained by the reaction of R 3 PAuGe 9 (Hyp) 3 (R = Et, Bu) with Pt(PPh 3) 4. The realized cluster enlargement is also known for the neutral cluster Ge 9 (Et)(Hyp) 3 , leading, however, to a different arrangement of substituents and different dynamics in the solution.
