Collagen hydrolysate is an excellent source of bioactive peptides and these gelatin-derived molecules can play a vital role in the treatment of tumors. Here, our objective was to investigate the effects of bovine collagen peptides (BCPs) on the proliferation and metastasis of ovarian cancer cells and identify peptides from bovine bone gelatin hydrolysate with anticancer activity against the human ovary carcinoma cell line, SKOV-3. The hydrolysate was initially purified using consecutive bioactivity-guided chromatography methods, with the resulting most active fraction subjected to LC-MS-MS analysis. Finally, 11 peptides were selected for functional validation. GPAGP Q GPRGDKGETGE Q GDR (all deamidated) were validated as having strong cytotoxicity against SKOV-3 cells and SKOV-3 cells bearing mice. Further, this peptide exhibited lower toxicity to MRC-5 cells and could inhibit cell invasion, and induce apoptosis. Abstract: Objective-Explore and research the application effect of medical security information engineering in the hospital. Methods-Based on the real examples of the medical security hidden danger, the transportation module system of medical security is set up. By the all survival cycle''s theory and IOP modeling method, four modules of structure model are developed, which are disposal of medical hidden danger. Results-The medical information system is developed, which includes four-in-one modules of structure model of integrated medical security transportation system, disputes evaluation system, protocol handling system, medical case analysis and handling system. And it is applied in the implementation of hospital management. Conclusions-The application of the research in the implementation of hospital management can find security hidden danger of hospital timely, the objective existence of medical disputes problems timely. Abstract: Objective-The related research of medical security management system network in medical practice. Methods-Establishing network platform of medical safety management system, medical security network host station, medical security management system(C/S), medical security management system of departments and sections, comprehensive query, medical security disposal and examination system. Results-In medical safety management, medical security management system can reflect the hospital medical security problem, and can achieve real-time detection and improve the medical security incident detection rate. Abstract: An efficient magnetically coupled resonance response is performed using an iron silicide-based nanostructured magnetoelectric material with high saturation magnetization for the wireless charging of battery-powered consumer electronics. With 500 °C annealing, the self-assembled Fe3Si nanodots buried in the Fe80Si17Nb3 host matrix with (220) lattice spacing of 1.99 Å corresponding to a volume density of 8.96 × 1016 cm3, can be obtained and a maximum saturation magnetization of 244 emu g−1 achieved. The return loss of the antenna will be tuned to match the designed frequency with greater attenuated intensity (−0.39 dB) and a relatively narrow bandwidth (6 kHz) when the Fe3Si nanodot-embedded Fe80Si17Nb3 sample is placed in a WiTricity system. An efficient wireless power transfer can be created and improved from 47.5% to 97.3%. The associated coil and loop antenna resonators are significantly readjusted to match the power transfer by putting this nanostructured magnetoelectric material in a WiTricity system. Body weight–related traits and feeding behavior traits are important in poultry breeding and production. To investigate the heritability of feeding behavior and their genetic correlation with body weight–related traits in Pekin ducks, 5,594 Pekin ducks were selected. The information about body weight–related traits and feeding behavior from 3 to 6 wk of age were recorded by automatic electronic feeders. The heritability estimates for body weight, residual feed intake, and feeding behavior traits are relatively high (ranging from 0.29 to 0.65).We observed that total feed intake, meal feed intake, body weight at the age of 3 wk, and daily body weight gain had strong positive genetic correlations with body weight at the age of 6 wk. Moreover, body weight at the age of 3 wk also showed a positive genetic correlation with the feed conversion ratio (0.33). Total feeding time, daily feed intake, and feeding rate had significant positive phenotypic correlations with feed efficiency. However, the average interval between meals, the number of daily visits, and the number of meals all had a low genetic or phenotypic relationship with body weight and feed efficiency. In conclusion, our study revealed that body weight, residual feed intake, and feeding behavior traits were all highly heritable traits, and the selection for certain feeding behaviors could improve feed efficiency in Pekin ducks. • The oxidized tallow enriched the aroma of the Maillard reaction product; • Different oxidation of tallow produces different volatile compounds and flavors; • More free unsaturated fatty acids were produced by oxidation of tallow; • Associations were found between typical volatile products and sensory attributes. This work investigated the effect of oxidized beef tallow on the volatile compositions and sensory properties of soybean meal-based Maillard reaction products (MRPs). Various tallow oxidation methods included thermal treatment (TT), enzymatic hydrolysis (ET) and enzymatic hydrolysis combined with mild thermal (ETT) treatment. Results showed that all these oxidized tallow contained more types of volatile compounds than those of untreated tallow. Moreover, the composition of almost all types of volatile substances was greatly increased with the addition of the oxidized beef tallow into the hydrolyzed soybean meal-based Maillard reaction system. More importantly, the composition of oxygen-containing heterocycles (63.89 μg/mL), sulfur-containing compounds (76.64 μg/mL), and nitrogen-containing heterocycles (19.81 μg/mL) that contribute positively to sensory properties in ETT-MRPs was found to be the highest among all the MRPs. Correlation assessment revealed that ETT was closely related to the most typical volatile products and sensory attributes, indicating this approach can effectively enhance the sensory and flavor of hydrolyzed soybean meal derived MRPs. • Enzalutamide stimulates autophagy flux in J82 and T24 cell lines. • Monotherapy of enzalutamide failed to stimulates significant apoptosis in J82 and T24 cell lines. • Concurrent treatment of enzalutamide and autophagy inhibitors triggered apoptosis of bladder cancers in vitro and in vivo. • Concurrent treatment with ENZ and autophagy inhibitor synergistically suppressed AR transcriptional activity, and concurrent treatment also had anti-cancer efficiency in an AR-positive cell line (UMUC3). Emerging preclinical evidence suggests a critical role for androgen-mediated androgen receptor (AR) signaling in bladder cancer progression. However, researchers have not determined whether autophagy modulates the efficacy of an enzalutamide (ENZ) treatment in subjects with advanced bladder cancer. In this study, we investigated the synergistic effect of ENZ and autophagy inhibitors on bladder cancer. ENZ was used as an anti-AR drug, and chloroquine (CQ), 3-methyladenine (3-MA), and bafilomycin A1 (BAF) were used as autophagy inhibitors. J82, T24, and UMUC3 cell lines were used as models of bladder cancer. A bifluorescence autophagy system with the mRFP-GFP-LC3 plasmid was used to evaluate autophagy flux. Protein and mRNA levels were detected using Western blotting and qPCR, respectively. A Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay, colony assay, and flow cytometry analysis were used to evaluate cell proliferation and apoptosis. Four-week-old BALB/c athymic nude mice were used in the in vivo assay. Based on the results obtained using the bifluorescence autophagy system, ENZ (10–20 μM) significantly facilitated the accumulation of autophagosomes and autolysosomes in the cytoplasm of J82 and T24 cells. Additionally, ENZ significantly increased the expression of autophagy-related genes (AMP-dependent protein kinase (AMPK), autophagy-related gene 5 (ATG5), microtubule-associated protein light chain 3B (LC3B), and UNC-51-like kinase 1 (ULK1)) and proteins (microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3-II/I (LC3-II/I), ATG5, and phosphorylated AMP-dependent protein kinase α (p-AMPKα)). The administration of ENZ monotherapy (10–20 μM) to J82 and T24 cells failed to alter proliferation and apoptosis. Concurrent treatment with ENZ and autophagy inhibitors distinctly triggered apoptosis and inhibited proliferation. Genetic inhibition of autophagy by specifically blocking ATG5 with siRNA also increased ENZ-induced apoptosis in J82 and T24 cells. In vivo, concurrent treatment with ENZ (25 mg/kg/day) and CQ (10 mg/kg/day) improved the therapeutic sensitivity by decreasing tumor growth and apoptosis. Additionally, overexpression of AR suppressed ENZ-induced autophagy-related genes (LC3-II/I, ATG5, and p-AMPKα) in T24 cells, and CQ exerted synergistic effects with ENZ to suppressed AR-responsive genes expression (KLK2 and KLK3) in bladder cancer. In UMUC3 cells, ENZ monotherapy directly induced anticancer effects, and concurrent treatment with ENZ and CQ also had a synergistic effect on proliferation and apoptosis. Autophagy may be a potential mechanism underlying ENZ-resistant bladder cancer. Blockade of autophagy significantly increased ENZ-induced apoptosis in bladder cancer.
