Abstract: Objective: The aim of the study is to investigate the prevalence rate of restless legs syndrome (RLS) in elderly Chinese people over 50 years of age in an urban suburb of Shanghai by a community-based study. Methods: A 3-step survey was adopted including two telephone-based interviews and one face-to-face interview. We used questions based on four diagnostic criteria for RLS to perform the first telephone interview. The second telephone interview was performed by a sleep specialist to rule out the ‘mimics’ and secondary RLS. The final face-to-face interview was performed in the clinic for confirmation and examination. Results: There were 2609 inhabitants in the Wuli Bridge suburb of Shanghai who responded to the first telephone interview (men 68.55±10.13 years of age and women 65.34±10.52 years of age, mean±SD). Eighteen people were finally diagnosed with RLS. In this sample, the overall prevalence rate of RLS was about 0.69% (95% confidence interval (CI): 0.41–1.09). Conclusion: Our study provided the first data about the prevalence rate of RLS in an urban suburb of Shanghai from mainland China, which is consistent with the low prevalence rate reported in other Asian countries. Four new complexes, namely [CuL(IN)2(H2O)2] · 4H2O (1), [CuL2(H2O)]Cl2 · 5H2O (2), [CuL2(H2O)](NO3)2 · H2O (3) and [CuL2]SO4 · 8H2O (4), where IN=isonicotinate anion, were obtained from self-assembly of the corresponding copper(II) salts with 1,1′-(1,4-butanediyl)bis(imidazole) (L), and their structures were determined by X-ray diffraction method. In complex 1, each copper(II) cation is six-coordinated by two water molecules and four nitrogen atoms from two L molecules and two isonicotinate anions. Each L molecule coordinates to two copper(II) cations, acting as a bridging ligand. The copper(II) cations are bridged by L to form an infinite zigzag chain structure. In complexes 2 and 3, the copper(II) cation is five-coordinated by one water molecule and four nitrogen atoms from four L molecules. In 4 the copper(II) cation is four-coordinated by four nitrogen atoms from four L molecules. Copper(II) cations are bridged by L ligands to form infinite (4,4) networks that contain 44-membered rings in 2, 3 and 4. No interpenetration occurs in 2 and 3, while in 4 two (4,4) networks are interpenetrated in parallel fashion to form a layer. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Herein, a novel FeCoNi(b)-800 ternary metal nanoalloy was uniformly mixed with reduced graphene oxide (RGO) to synthesize the FeCoNi(b)-800@RGO(2:1) composite. The addition of RGO not only stopped the accumulation of FeCoNi(b)-800 alloy, but also heightened the electrocatalytic activity of composite. Particularly, the FeCoNi(b)-800@RGO(2:1) composite displayed the significantly strong electrocatalytic capacity for the reduction of roxarsone (ROX). Furthermore, the FeCoNi(b)-800@RGO(2:1) composite possessed enough porosity and metal catalytic sites, facilitating the transport and electrochemical reduction of the ROX. Thus, the FeCoNi(b)-800@RGO(2:1) composite modified glassy carbon electrode (FeCoNi(b)-800@RGO(2:1)/GCE) showed the superb electrochemical detection effect for ROX with relatively wide working range (0.1–1500 μM) and low detection limit (0.013 μM). Importantly, the FeCoNi(b)-800@RGO(2:1)/GCE sensor could accurately determine the contents of ROX in actual pork, chicken, duck and egg samples, indicating that it had good suitability in food safety monitoring. A novel electrochemical sensor based on FeCoNi(b)-800@RGO(2:1) composite has been successfully constructed and applied in the electrochemical detection of roxarsone in the actual pork, chicken, duck and egg samples. In order to meet the application requirements of various electrolyzers for different types of electrolytes, it is of great significance to design and prepare efficient and wide-pH electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, a series of 3d transition metal doped molybdenum diboride electrocatalyst were successfully synthesized via a modified molten salt-assisted method. Noticeably, the 10%Co–MoB 2 electrocatalyst exhibited good HER performances with the overpotentials of 147 and 138 mV in 1.0 M KOH and 0.5 M H 2 SO 4 electrolyte solutions at 10 mA cm−2, respectively. Moreover, the 10%Co–MoB 2 catalyst possessed a long-term stability of 100 h in both acidic and alkaline medium. Markedly, the cobalt doping effectively modified the electronic structure of MoB 2 , and contributed to the synergistic effect between Co and Mo, thereby enhancing its electrocatalytic performance. This work provided a molten salt-assisted approach for the preparation of transition-metal boride based electrocatalyst with wide pH response, favorable activity and good stability. • Cobalt -doped MoB 2 was prepared by a molten salt-assisted strategy. • Cobalt doping optimized electronic structures of the electrocatalysts. • Cobalt doping enhanced the conductivity and the reaction kinetics. • The catalyst showed the satisfied hydrogen evolution in acid or alkaline media. High-performance non-precious-metal electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in both acidic and alkaline media are urgently required to replace expensive Pt-based catalysts. Herein, we report an effective molten salt-assisted boron-induced phase transformation strategy for the preparation of boron-doped Mo/Mo 2 C (B–Mo/Mo 2 C). The B–Mo/Mo 2 C electrocatalyst maintains two-dimensional (2D) layered structure of the precursor material to expose more catalytic active sites. Due to the suitable doping and the successful construction of the heterostructure, the efficient electron transfer between Mo and Mo 2 C is generated and its electronic structure is reasonably regulated. The obtained B–Mo/Mo 2 C electrocatalyst exhibits excellent HER performance with overpotentials of 108 mV (η 10) and 191 mV (η 10) in 1.0 M KOH and 0.5 M H 2 SO 4 solutions, respectively. These results demonstrate the efficiency of the noble-metal-free B–Mo/Mo 2 C electrocatalyst and highlight its broad applicability. Abstract: In this article, tetranuclear ZnII coordination complexes [Zn4L(μ2-OH)2]·2(NO3)·6(CH3OH)·H2O (1) and [Zn4L(μ2-OH)2(H2O)2]·(p-bdc)·2(CH3OH)·3H2O (2), dinuclear ZnII complex [Zn4L(NH2-bdc)2]·2(CH3OH)·3H2O (3), and trinuclear CdII complexes [Cd3L(m-bdc)]·6.5H2O (4) and [Cd3L(NH2-bdc)]·5.5H2O (5), based on a tetraphenol 36-membered macrocycle (L) having four ethylenediamine and four 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol functionalities, have been synthesized at room temperature (p-bdc=1,4-benzenedicarboxylate, NH2-bdc=5-aminoisophthalate and m-bdc=1,3-benzenedicarboxylate). In 1 and 2, four ZnII centers are bridged by phenoxide and hydroxy atoms of the L ligands to form tetranuclear ZnII complexes. The inorganic and organic anions in 1 and 2 do not coordinate to ZnII centers, but act as counter anions. In 3, two ZnII centers are bridged by two phenoxide O atoms to form a ZnII cluster (Zn2O2N4). Moreover, two (Zn2O2N4) clusters within the ring of the L ligand are further bridged by two NH2-bdc anions in a monodentate fashion. Compound 4 possesses the trinuclear CdII clusters (Cd3N8O8), which has a similar structure to compound 5. The trinuclear CdII clusters are bridged by the dicarboxylate anions to yield an infinite coordination polymers chain. The photoelectric transfer properties of complexes 1, 2 and 4 were investigated by surface photovoltage spectroscopy (SPS) and the field-induced surface photovoltage spectra (FISPS) techniques. The results reveal that the complexes exhibit positive surface photovoltage (SPV) responses in the range of 300–600nm, possessing the p-type semiconductor characteristics. So far, the surface photovoltage properties of the macrocycle complexes based on tetraphenol macrocyclic ligands were investigated for the first time. Moreover, elemental analyses, IR spectra, and luminescent properties of these compounds were also studied. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
