Designing scaffolds that can regulate the innate immune response and promote vascularized bone regeneration holds promise for bone tissue engineering. Herein, electrospun scaffolds that combined physical and biological cues were fabricated by anchoring reparative M2 macrophage–derived exosomes onto topological pore structured nanofibrous scaffolds. The topological pore structure of the fiber and the immobilization of exosomes increased the nanoscale roughness and hydrophilicity of the fibrous scaffold. In vitro cell experiments showed that exosomes could be internalized by target cells to promote cell migration, tube formation, osteogenic differentiation, and anti-inflammatory macrophage polarization. The activation of fibrosis, angiogenesis, and macrophage was elucidated during the exosome-functionalized fibrous scaffold–mediated foreign body response (FBR) in subcutaneous implantation in mice. The exosome-functionalized nanofibrous scaffolds also enhanced vascularized bone formation in a critical-sized rat cranial bone defect model. Importantly, histological analysis revealed that the biofunctional scaffolds regulated the coupling effect of angiogenesis, osteoclastogenesis, and osteogenesis by stimulating type H vessel formation. This study elaborated on the complex processes within the cell microenvironment niche during fibrous scaffold–mediated FBR and vascularized bone regeneration to guide the design of implants or devices used in orthopedics and maxillofacial surgery. How to design scaffold materials that can regulate the local immune niche and truly achieve functional vascularized bone regeneration still remain an open question. Long-term flow prediction is crucial in water resource management, with support vector regression (SVR) commonly used for runoff prediction. This paper aims to clarify SVR parameter optimization through a case study, focusing on the penalty coefficient (C), the kernel function parameter (γ), and the insensitive loss coefficient (ε), using different heuristic methods including particle swarm optimization (PSO), a complex method (CM), and simulated annealing (SA). A runoff prediction model based on SVR was established to forecast the monthly inflow runoff of Zipingpu Reservoir. The study evaluates the applicability of each optimization method for the SVM-based monthly streamflow forecast model. Results indicate CM has the best operational efficiency with an average running time of less than 2 s, significantly lower than PSO and SA. SA shows the best stability with an average standard deviation of fitness values of 0.00032, significantly lower than PSO's 0.0015 and CM's 0.021. The SA-SVM model reduces RMSE and MARE by 8.35% and 15% respectively, compared to the standard SVM model, while NS and R improve by 11.67% and 6.57%, achieving the highest prediction accuracy. Phytoplasma can infect thousands of plants and caused huge economic losses around the world. The large-scale spread and serious lethality of phytoplasma prompt the urgent need for sensitive, accurate, visual and rapid detection of these pathogens. Current molecular assays used for detecting phytoplasma are expensive and time consuming. Here, we established a novel All-In-One Dual (AIOD) CRISPR detection platform based on CRISPR/LbCas12a technology for the diagnosis of phytoplasmas. The protocol is simple, requiring one vessel, rapid and sensitive, and the output is visual. Phytoplasmas can be detected after 15 min from leaf harvest with this platform. In the optimized reaction, the concentration of ssDNA-FQ, LbCas12a, crRNA1 and crRNA2 were 1000 nM, 1.6 μM, 0.8 μM and 0.8 μM, respectively. Our AIOD-CRISPR detection system reach the sensitive threshold of 3.37 E+2 copies of phytoplasma DNA per reaction. Field tests indicated the AIOD-CRISPR detection system possessed high specificity and reached the 100% accuracy when compared with PCR detection. The fate of biomaterials is orchestrated by biocompatibility and bioregulation characteristics, reported to be closely related to topographical structures. For the purpose to investigate the topography of fibrous membranes on the guided bone regeneration performance, we successfully fabricated poly (lactate- co -glycolate)/fish collagen/nano-hydroxyapatite (PFCH) fibrous membranes with random, aligned and latticed topography by electrospinning. The physical, chemical and biological properties of the three topographical PFCH membranes were systematically investigated by in vitro and in vivo experiments. The subcutaneous implantation of C57BL6 mice showed an acceptable mild foreign body reaction of all three topological membranes. Interestingly, the latticed PFCH membrane exhibited superior abilities to recruit macrophage/monocyte and induce angiogenesis. We further investigated the osteogenesis of the three topographical PFCH membranes via the critical-size calvarial bone defect model of rats and mice and the results suggested that latticed PFCH membrane manifested promising performance to promote angiogenesis through upregulation of the HIF-1α signaling pathway; thereby enhancing bone regeneration. Our research illustrated that the topological structure of fibrous membranes, as one of the characteristics of biomaterials, could regulate its biological functions, and the fibrous structure of latticed topography could serve as a favorable surface design of biomaterials for bone regeneration. In material-mediated regeneration medicine, the interaction between the biomaterial and the host is key to successful tissue regeneration. The micro-and nano-structure becomes one of the most critical physical clues for designing biomaterials. In this study, we fabricated three topological electrospun membranes (Random, Aligned and Latticed) to understand how topological structural clues mediate bone tissue regeneration. Bone regeneration is an interdisciplinary complex lesson, including but not limited to materials science, biomechanics, immunology, and biology. Having witnessed impressive progress in the past decades in the development of bone substitutes; however, it must be said that the most suitable biomaterial for bone regeneration remains an area of intense debate. Since its discovery, poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) has been widely used in bone tissue engineering due to its good biocompatibility and adjustable biodegradability. This review systematically covers the past and the most recent advances in developing PLGA-based bone regeneration materials. Taking the different application forms of PLGA-based materials as the starting point, we describe each form's specific application and its corresponding advantages and disadvantages with many examples. We focus on the progress of electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds, three-dimensional (3D) printed scaffolds, microspheres/nanoparticles, hydrogels, multiphasic scaffolds, and stents prepared by other traditional and emerging methods. Finally, we briefly discuss the current limitations and future directions of PLGA-based bone repair materials. As a key synthetic biopolymer in bone tissue engineering application, the progress of PLGA-based bone substitute is impressive. In this review, we summarized the past and the most recent advances in the development of PLGA-based bone regeneration materials. Abstract Linestrengths, self-broadening and narrowing coefficients for 8 absorption transitions of CO 2 near 1.43 µm were measured using the wavelength modulation direct absorption spectroscopy (WM-DAS) at 300–1000 K and 5–20 kPa. The SNR was enhanced to 1500 for the peak absorbance around 5% at room temperature and remains at 550 for the peak absorbance around 1% at high temperatures by use of the WM-DAS method. The Voigt, Rautian, Galatry and quadratic speed-dependent Voigt profiles were used to recover the absorbance and retrieve the best-fit spectroscopic parameters and their temperature dependence. The quadratic speed-dependent Voigt profile was found to give the best combination of accuracy and robust lineshape parameters. The measured linestrengths and self-broadening coefficients compare well with the available values listed in the HITRAN/HITEMP database. Establishing a wind–photovoltaic (PV)–hydro hybrid system is a new method to utilize wind and PV power, but how multi-energy complementation affects the working modes of cascaded hydropower plants (CHP) has not been fully revealed. In this study, a wind–PV–CHP system was considered as an example and a multi-objective optimal operation model was constructed considering the maximization of both the power generation and the minimum power output. Simulation and comparison results showed that (1) the regulation capability of the hydropower was mainly used for two purposes: one was to drive the early water storage (or water release reduction) of CHP to improve the overall utilization efficiency of water resources, and the other was to drive the hydropower output to cooperate with the non-regulatable wind–PV power output in order to achieve a complementary output; (2) the different minimum outputs determined the regulation capacity for complementing the wind–PV power output, which represents the degree of complementation; and (3) complementation would significantly affect the minimum output and slightly affect the average output of CHP. Droplets energy harvesters(DEHs) have attracted tremendous attention and shown great potential in harvesting energy from falling water. Current approaches to enhance the device output through adapting a top-electrode in direct contact with the droplets face the drawbacks of fixed droplet-imping-location and inevitable electrode corrosion. Herein, we proposed an easy but effective way to boost the performance of bottom-electrode DEHs through adapting a partial-electrode configuration. It was found that droplets impinging at the boundary between a blank region and the electrode region, instead of at the electrode region, could improve the output peak voltage and current by more than one order of magnitude, up to 30 V. The mechanism is contributed to that water across the boundary bridges the blank and the electrode region for notable inter-region charge transfer, leading to an enhanced electrostatic induction. The induced peak current is proven to be proportional to the changing rate of droplet area on top of the electrode upon initial overlap, and inversely proportional to the thickness of the polymer film in our test range. Based on these findings, DEH with a branched electrode is designed to harvest energy from falling droplets of random positions, as well as energy from turbulent flow of time-variant shapes with an output voltage up to one hundred volts. Abstract: The three-dimensional flow field of the whole flow passage of a mixed-flow pump was numerically simulated by using CFD software on the basis of Spalart-Allmaras turbulent model according to the original design of the plant. Through analyzing the calculation results, the reason why the flow rate of this pump can not reach to the design requirements was found out. After replacing the impeller, a new pump impeller was optimally designed. The numerically simulation results show that the hydraulic performance of the newly designed impeller of the mixed-flow pump were obviously improved, and the engineering requirements of the owner were satisfied. Harvesting energy from raindrops has attracted extensive efforts due to the wide distribution of precipitation and vast potential applications. Among the various approaches developed for this purpose, droplets-based electricity generators (DEGs) based on electrostatic induction have been becoming an outstanding option in the aspect of output voltage and instantaneous power density. Performance dependence of DEGs on the device configuration and the dominating factors have to be revealed for the further optimization. Here, we comprehensively investigated the performance of DEGs with three different configurations, i.e. , bottom-electrode, top-electrode and double-electrode, and found that water-to-ground capacitance played an important role in determining the device output. Besides, the conductivity of water shows notable influence on the device performance, tap water with a conductivity around 300 μS/cm shows the highest efficiency in our measurements. Adapting an optimized power management circuit, the pulsed-like output of DEGs is converted to a constant voltage output of variable amplitudes, which is successfully used to charge a smart phone. Our results shed light on possible ways to further optimize the DEG configuration and their potential applications. Linestrength, self-broadening, -narrowing, pressure-shift coefficients and their temperature dependence were recorded over a temperature and pressure range of 290–1050 K and 3–80 kPa, respectively. Voigt, Rautian, speed-dependent Voigt profiles were least-squares fit to the measured absorption spectra to determine the best-fit lineshape parameters. Significant collisional-narrowing and speed-dependent effects were observed but no line mixing behaviour was found in pure CH 4 at the experimental conditions. The self-pressure-shift coefficients were found to change signs from negative to positive with increasing temperature and the Frost's formula fit well their temperature dependence for the studied transitions. The measured spectra provided tests of the CH 4 line lists near 1397 cm−1 released in HITEMP 2020 and the recorded spectroscopic parameters compared well with the values in the database. Abstract: Mixed hemimicelles solid-phase extraction (SPE) based on cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)-coated nano-magnets Fe3O4 was investigated for the preconcentration of four chlorophenols (CPs) in environmental water samples prior to HPLC–spectrophotometry determination in this paper. By the rapid isolating (about 5min) of Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) through placing a Nd–Fe–B strong magnet on the bottom of beaker, the time-consuming preconcentration process of loading large volume sample in conversional SPE method with a column can be avoided. The unique properties of Fe3O4 NPs such as high surface area and strong magnetism were utilized adequately in the SPE process. This novel separation method produced a high preconcentration rate and factor. A comprehensive study of the adsorption conditions such as the Fe3O4 NPs zeta-potential, CTAB added amounts, pH value, standing time and maximal extraction volume was also presented. Under optimized conditions, four analytes of 2-chlorophenol (2-CP), 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP), 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (TCP) and pentachlorophenol (PCP) were quantitatively extracted. The method was then used to determine four CPs in five real environmental water samples. High concentration factors (700) were achieved for each of the analytes, with observed detection limits ranging between 0.11 and 0.15μgL−1. The accuracy of method was evaluated by recovery measurements on spiked samples. Good recovery results (83–98%) with satisfactory relative standard deviation (RSD) were achieved. It is important to note that satisfactory preconcentration factors and extraction recoveries for the four CPs were obtained with only a little amount of Fe3O4 NPs (0.1g) and CTAB (60mg). To the best of our knowledge, this was the first time a mixed hemimicelles SPE method based on Fe3O4 NPs magnetic separation had been used for the pretreatment of environmental water samples. Abstract: Ionic liquid mixed hemimicelles-based solid-phase extraction for the preconcentration of five phthalates in environmental water sample was investigated in this paper. A comparative study on the use of room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([C6mim]Br) and 1-dodecyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([C12mim]Br)-coated silica as sorbents was presented. Owing to having bigger adsorption amounts for analytes [C12mim], Br-coated silica was selected as SPE material and the five analytes di-ethyl-phthalate (DEP), di-n-propyl-phthalate (DnPP), di-n-butyl-phthalate (DnBP), di-cyclohexyl-phthalate (DcHP) and di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phthalate (DEHP) can be quantitatively extracted under optimal conditions. The analytes retained on the cartridge were desorbed completely with 3mL methanol (pH 2). Predominant factors influencing the extraction efficiency, such as RTILs concentration, pH value, ionic strength and breakthrough volume were discussed. The proposed method had been applied to determining the five phthalates in four environmental water samples and concentration factor of 600 was achieved easily. Detection limits obtained ranged between 0.12 and 0.17μg/L. The accuracy of this method was evaluated by recovery measurement on spiked samples, and good recovery results (85–107%) with relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) of below 6% were achieved. • Absorption line shapes and spectroscopic parameters of the H 2 O transition at 7299.431 cm and the CO transition at 4297.705 cm were measured in perturbers Ar, and He. • The nonlinear pressure dependence of the velocity-changing rates and the speed-dependent coefficients with the corresponding ratios were analyzed by both experiments and simulation. • The Dicke narrowing and speed dependent effects were analyzed and compared in different binary systems. Wavelength modulation-direct absorption spectroscopy (WM-DAS) has been used to measure the absorption line shapes of the H 2 O transition at 7299.431 cm − 1 and the CO transition at 4297.705 cm − 1 perturbed by Ar, N 2 and He. The foreign-gas broadening, narrowing and pressure-shift parameters were determined from various lineshape models at pressures from 1 to 100 kPa. The measured N 2 -broadening coefficients are the largest among the three perturbers and the measured N 2 - and Ar-pressure-shift coefficients are both negative while that for He is positive. The nonlinear pressure dependence of the velocity-changing rates for the Galatry and Rautian profiles and the speed-dependent coefficients for Speed-dependent Voigt profile were all observed for the 6 binary systems. The measured velocity-changing rates were all larger than the corresponding dynamic friction coefficients in H 2 O -Ar/ N 2 /He while smaller than those in CO-Ar/ N 2 /He. The narrowing parameters were also retrieved and compared by taking both the Dicke narrowing and speed dependent effects into account. The partially Correlated quadratic Speed-dependent Hard-Collision profile was simulated and fit by the other simplified profiles to further validate the nonlinear behaviour of the narrowing parameters, which is consistent with the measured results. China has become the world's largest clean energy country in terms of the total installation of wind and photovoltaic power and annual newly installed capacity. However, weather conditions render renewable energy unstable, thereby restricting its application to a power grid; reducing the randomness in wind or photovoltaic power is the major challenge of the utilization of solar and wind energy. This paper systematically reviews the explorations and the practices related to wind and photovoltaic power consumption in China. Considering the difference in the methods of supplementing the variable and intermittent output of wind and PV power, five consumption modes are outlined: distributed energy microgrid absorption, power grid peak shaving operation consumption, wind-photovoltaic-storage consumption, wind-photovoltaic-thermal complementation, and wind-photovoltaic-hydro complementation. The theories, features, current situation and growing trends of each mode are analyzed. Finally, several suggestions, including promoting multi-energy complementary microgrid application and installing large-scale pumped storage hydropower, are provided for improving the efficiency of renewable energy development in China. • Practical variable energy consumption modes are outlined and analyzed. • Small-scale distributed wind and PV power is suitable for microgrid integration. • Medium-sized wind and PV power consumed through the main grid is reasonable. • Large-scale wind and PV can be combined and transmitted with hydro or thermal power. • CH 4 -N 2 line mixing parameters empirically-determined for R branch transitions J ″ = 4--18. • High spectral resolution study of the R (15) manifold for sensing in combustion. • Thermodynamic scaling of collisional effects examined up to 1600 K and 25 atm. High-temperature line mixing behavior was studied for 15 R-branch line manifolds in the v 3 band of methane from 3.14 µm to 3.28 µm. The temperature-dependence of the line mixing parameters for the R (4) to R (18) manifolds perturbed by nitrogen were empirically-determined over a range of temperatures from 300–1000 K using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy in a heated gas cell. A more extensive line mixing investigation of the rovibrational transitions comprising the R (15) manifold was performed at lower pressures (0.3–2 atm) using laser absorption spectroscopy from 300–1600 K in both the heated cell and a high-enthalpy shock tube. Measured spectra were modeled and fit using both a modified exponential gap model and a perturbation theory-based first-order model to capture the pressure- and temperature-dependence of the line mixing effects. The modified exponential gap model was found to sufficiently capture the line mixing behavior at pressures greater than 20 atm, while perturbation theory enables more accurate characterization of the behavior at the lower pressures. The applicability of both the modified exponential gap model and perturbation theory is also discussed with analyses of the fitting residuals and the parameter uncertainties to provide reference for the use of the two empirical models in simulating the R-branch of the v 3 band of 12CH 4 over a wide range of thermodynamic conditions. • WM-DAS method was adopted to enhance the noise rejection and improve the measurement accuracy of the spectroscopic parameters with high signal-noise ratio. • An improved experimental strategy was used in our experiments, including a new designed heated static cell to achieve better gas impermeability and temperature uniformity, and a reference light path to eliminate the effect of ambient gas and inherent fluctuation of laser intensity. • The spectroscopic parameters of 8 H 2 O transitions near 1.39 μm were measured using various lineshape models to validate the accuracy of WM-DAS method and the improved experimental strategy. The wavelength modulation-direct absorption spectroscopy (WM-DAS) was used to measure the spectroscopic parameters for 8 H 2 O absorption transitions near 1.39 μm at 300–900 K. A reference light path was introduced to eliminate the effect of ambient gas and inherent fluctuation of laser intensity. Experimental results at high temperatures for the transition at 7185.597 cm−1 showed that the WM-DAS enhanced noise rejection by extracting the characteristic frequencies of modulated laser intensity. The SNR was enhanced to 1800 for the peak absorbance of 20% and remained 380 around the peak absorbance of only 0.5% by using this method, showing its huge potential in situ gas sensing in harsh engineering fields. 'Huizao') infected by phytoplasma were excised and grown in vitro before treatment with tetracycline. RNA-Seq and iTRAQ analyses of samples treated for different lengths of time were performed during recovery from jujube witches' broom (JWB) symptoms and diminishing presence of phytoplasma. Phytoplasma was not detected by PCR in the shoots after 6 months of tetracycline treatment (MTT). RNA-Seq and iTRAQ analyses identified 26,790 genes and 6184 proteins from jujube shoot samples. There were 272 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and 20 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) between the 3 and 6 MTT samples, respectively. The largest number and the greatest changes of DEGs and DEPs were for those related to alpha-linolenic acid metabolism, jasmonate biosynthesis, and jasmonate induced protein-like (JIPs). JA content slightly decreased at the sixth month compared with the third month. The research avenues explored here showed that genes in the JA biosynthesis pathway, proteins that respond to JA (JIPs), and JA content itself were concurrently regulated during JWB recovery. Alpha-linolenic acid metabolism pathway had higher RichFactor in comparisons between the 3 and 6 MTT samples during JWB recovery, which suggesting JA played vital roles during JWB recovery. The results in this study will help us to understand the roles JA plays in host-phytoplasma interactions during recovery and infection of JWB. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
