Electrochemical methods are increasingly favored for remediating polluted environments due to their environmental compatibility and reagent-saving features. However, a comprehensive understanding of recent progress, mechanisms, and trends in these methods is currently lacking. Web of Science (WoS) databases were utilized for searching the primary data to understand the knowledge structure and research trends of publications on electrochemical methods and to unveil certain hotspots and future trends of electrochemical methods research. The original data were sampled from 9080 publications in those databases with the search deadline of June 1st, 2022. CiteSpace and VOSviewer software facilitated data visualization and analysis of document quantities, source journals, institutions, authors, and keywords. We discussed principles, influencing factors, and progress related to seven major electrochemical methods. Notably, publications on this subject have experienced significant growth since 2007. The most frequently-investigated areas in electrochemical methods included novel materials development, heavy metal remediation, organic pollutant degradation, and removal mechanism identification. "Advanced oxidation process" and "Nanocomposite" are currently trending topics. The major remediation mechanisms are adsorption, oxidation, and reduction. The efficiency of electrochemical systems is influenced by material properties, system configuration, electron transfer efficiency, and power density. Electro-Fenton exhibits significant advantages in achieving synergistic effects of anodic oxidation and electro-adsorption among the seven techniques. Future research should prioritize the improvement of electron transfer efficiency, the optimization of electrode materials, the exploration of emerging technology coupling, and the reduction in system operation and maintenance costs. The participation of women in sports and the management of women's sports teams have gained significant attention in recent years, underscoring the need to understand the dynamics and organizational aspects of women's sports. However, there is a noticeable lack of comprehensive bibliometric analyses in this domain, hindering a thorough exploration of the existing literature and the identification of key trends and knowledge gaps. This study aims to address this gap by conducting a rigorous bibliometric analysis of sports management competencies in women's semi-professional teams in Europe. Using the VOSviewer software, advanced data analysis techniques, including citation and co-citation analysis, were employed to gain insights into the research landscape, influential authors, seminal papers, and key research trends. The results of the analysis revealed clusters of research topics related to women's semi-professional sports, including performance, gender, football, and sports. The findings of this analysis will contribute to the advancement and success of women's semi-professional teams by informing the development of tailored training programs, educational curricula, and professional initiatives for sports management roles. Intracranial EEG data offer a unique spatio-temporal precision to investigate human brain functions. Large datasets have become recently accessible thanks to new iEEG data-sharing practices and tighter collaboration with clinicians. Yet, the complexity of such datasets poses new challenges, especially regarding the visualization and anatomical display of iEEG. We introduce HiBoP, a multi-modal visualization software specifically designed for large groups of patients and multiple experiments. Its main features include the dynamic display of iEEG responses induced by tasks/stimulations, the definition of Regions and electrodes Of Interest, and the shift between group-level and individual-level 3D anatomo-functional data. We provide a use-case with data from 36 patients to reveal the global cortical dynamics following tactile stimulation. We used HiBoP to visualize high-gamma responses [50–150 Hz], and define three major response components in primary somatosensory and premotor cortices and parietal operculum. Several iEEG softwares are now publicly available with outstanding analysis features. Yet, most were developed in languages (Python/Matlab) chosen to facilitate the inclusion of new analysis by users, rather than the quality of the visualization. HiBoP represents a visualization tool developed with videogame standards (Unity/C#), and performs detailed anatomical analysis rapidly, across multiple conditions, patients, and modalities with an easy export toward third-party softwares. HiBoP provides a user-friendly environment that greatly facilitates the exploration of large iEEG datasets, and helps users decipher subtle structure/function relationships. • We developed HiBoP, a Unity-based software for iEEG data visualization. • HiBoP facilitates navigation across individual patient and population levels. • HiBoP integrates time series, CCEPs and multimodal data in the same project. Science is essential for human prosperity because social and technological advances often depend on scientific advances. Science is living a golden era characterized by a rapidly growing number of researchers worldwide exploring different disciplines and research fields. Keeping in mind that funding is limited, many researchers are encouraged to establish new collaborations with individuals or groups of researchers. Furthermore, the funding bodies use increasingly complex criteria to determine the researchers and projects to be supported. In this regard, the analysis of scientific collaboration networks can help to determine the main areas of specialization of universities and research centres, as well as the type of internal and external collaborations of their researchers. This paper presents an advanced method for analysing scientific collaboration networks at universities and research institutions. This method is based on automatically obtaining bibliographic data from scientific publications through the use of the Scopus Database API Interface, which are then analysed using graph visualization software and statistical tools. This model has been validated through the analysis of a real university, and the results show that it is possible to determine in a fast way and with high reliability the main research lines of an institution as well as the structure of the collaboration network. The method opens new perspectives for the study of scientific collaboration networks because it can be applied at different levels of detail, from small research groups to large academic and research centres, and over different time frames. Effective data visualisation is a key part of the scientific process with complex geometric datasets. It is the bridge between the quantitative content of the data and human intuition. Immersion in virtual reality (VR) provides benefits beyond the traditional “desktop” visualization tools and it leads to a demonstrably better perception of dataspace geometry, more intuitive data understanding, and a better retention of the perceived relationships in the data. VR has a great potential for fusion research and in the analysis of its complex physics-based datasets. The work presented in this paper is one of the applications that have been implemented at UKAEA which combines shutdown dose calculations with a virtual reality model of the Joint European Tokamak (JET) in a new code called VORTEX (Virtual Operator RadiaTion EXposure). The shutdown dose calculations were performed for various time steps during the JET DTE2 campaign using the UKAEA code MCR2S which links MCNP and FISPACT-II using the rigorous two step method. The 3 Dimensional dose and activation data created by MCR2S is integrated into the game engine Unity using C# routines to create VORTEX. A virtual reality model has been created from JET CAD data combined with the 3 dimensional radiation and activation data to create of virtual model of the radiological environment after the DTE2 campaign. This model enables more precise planning of operational procedures by having the operator/planner walk around the virtual environment using a virtual reality headset such as the Oculus rift or the HTC vive. With the increasing number of matches day by day, it has become difficult to manage or extract useful information from the available data of all the matches. The paper presents a data visualization and prediction tool in which an open-source, distributed, and non-relational database, HBase is utilized to keep the data related to IPL (Indian Premier League) cricket matches and players. This data is then used for visualizing the past performance of players’ performance. Additionally, the data is used to predict the outcome of a match through various machine learning approaches. This paper presents a novel integrated marine visualization framework which focuses on processing, analyzing the multi-dimension spatiotemporal marine data in one workflow. Effective marine data visualization is needed in terms of extracting useful patterns, recognizing changes, and understanding physical processes in oceanography researches. However, the multi-source, multi-format, multi-dimension characteristics of marine data pose a challenge for interactive and feasible (timely) marine data analysis and visualization in one workflow. And, global multi-resolution virtual terrain environment is also needed to give oceanographers and the public a real geographic background reference and to help them to identify the geographical variation of ocean phenomena. This paper introduces a data integration and processing method to efficiently visualize and analyze the heterogeneous marine data. Based on the data we processed, several GPU-based visualization methods are explored to interactively demonstrate marine data. GPU-tessellated global terrain rendering using ETOPO1 data is realized and the video memory usage is controlled to ensure high efficiency. A modified ray-casting algorithm for the uneven multi-section Argo volume data is also presented and the transfer function is designed to analyze the 3D structure of ocean phenomena. Based on the framework we designed, an integrated visualization system is realized. The effectiveness and efficiency of the framework is demonstrated. The paper presents application of Kroki tool to creation of executable specification of CERIF standard. Kroki (fr. croquis – sketch) is an open-source tool that is being developed in order to foster development agility and better communication among team members with different specialties. It can be used for creating of specification of data-driven applications using two different notations (UML based and mockup based) and for generating application over the specification. This paper presents usage of Kroki tool for visualization and further development of CERIF data model, as well as using of Kroki for generating a prototype of CRIS system over CERIF data model. CERIF 1.5 specification was taken from euroCRIS web site and entered into Kroki tool. More than 280 CERIF classes are divided into 31 packages, in order to make CERIF model easier to read and comprehend. The Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) is a fundamental concept for characterizing the reflectance property of a surface, and helps in the analysis of remote sensing data from satellite, airborne and surface platforms. Multi-angular remote sensing measurements are required for the development and evaluation of BRDF models for improved characterization of surface properties. However, multi-angular data and the associated BRDF models are typically multidimensional involving multi-angular and multi-wavelength information. Effective visualization of such complex multidimensional measurements for different wavelength combinations is presently somewhat lacking in the literature, and could serve as a potentially useful research and teaching tool in aiding both interpretation and analysis of BRDF measurements. This article describes a newly developed software package in Python ( PolarBRDF ) to help visualize and analyze multi-angular data in polar and False Color Composite (FCC) forms. PolarBRDF also includes functionalities for computing important multi-angular reflectance/albedo parameters including spectral albedo, principal plane reflectance and spectral reflectance slope. Application of PolarBRDF is demonstrated using various case studies obtained from airborne multi-angular remote sensing measurements using NASA's Cloud Absorption Radiometer (CAR). Our visualization program also provides functionalities for untangling complex surface/atmosphere features embedded in pixel-based remote sensing measurements, such as the FCC imagery generation of BRDF measurements of grasslands in the presence of wildfire smoke and clouds. Furthermore, PolarBRDF also provides quantitative information of the angular distribution of scattered surface/atmosphere radiation, in the form of relevant BRDF variables such as sunglint, hotspot and scattering statistics. The Large Helical Device (LHD) at the National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) is the world’s largest superconducting helical fusion device, providing a scientific research center to elucidate important physics research such as plasma transport, turbulence dynamics, and other topics. Furthermore, many types of advanced diagnostic devices are used to measure the confinement plasma characteristics, and these valuable physical data are registered over the 131,000 discharges in the LHD database. However, it is difficult to investigate the experimental data even though much physical data has been registered. In order to improve the efficiency for investigating plasma physics in LHD, we have developed a new data visualization software, MyView2, which consists of Python-based modules that can be easily set up and updated. MyView2 provides immediate access to experimental results, cross-shot analysis, and a collaboration point for scientific research. In particular, the MyView2 software is a portable structure for making viewable LHD experimental data in on- and off-site web servers, which is a capability not previously available in any general use tool. Profeel aims to support quality assurance, dosimetry and research in the field of radiotherapy by providing an environment to visualize, process and analyse measured and simulated dosimetry data from several data sources used in radiotherapy practice and research. The processing and analysis tools are based on routinely used dosimetry analysis methods, such as gamma analysis, different data normalizations and data filtering. Additionally the Profeel performs an automatic 1 dimensional profile and percentage depth dose analysis in accordance with International Electrotechnical Commission definitions. All data can be operated by user created custom functions and lower dimensionality data can be extracted from volume doses and dose planes. Profeel supports data import in all 3 dimensions and offers an intuitive user interface to perform data visualization, processing and analysis between simulated and measured data. Profeel and its source code are distributed free of charge under the General Public Licence (GPL). Profeel has shown to be an agile tool for fulfilling various needs of several researchers and since Profeel is under constant development and is an open source project, community needs, issues and bug reports are taken into account in the development. 3DGShield, A new 3D gamma ray shielding code, based on the method of point kernel technique, has been developed for arbitrary regular & irregular shaped source and shield geometries. The 3D geometry modeling and its mesh generation are performed using Gmsh, a free open source finite element mesh generation software. The output of the Gmsh software is in Gmsh MSH (.msh) file format which will be used as an input of geometry description of our code. The salient features of 3DGShield are (i) ability to handle any type of complex source geometries including regular source shapes like point, line, disc, box, cylinder, sphere, hexagonal cylinder, cone etc. and irregular source shapes like pieces of broken glass, piece of brick etc., (ii) handling discrete as well as distributed photon energy sources, (iii) modeling any kind of regular and irregular complex multilayered shield geometries, (iv) having provision to export the output results into ParaView, an open source data analysis and visualization software, for quick visualization and analyzing of the results. Buildup factor is the correction factor which takes account the contribution of scattered photon. Various appropriate multilayer build-up factor formulas have been incorporated in our code. Out of these, the most popular methods are Blizard's method, Goldstein method of an effective atomic number and Broders's method. Verification and validation of the code have been done by a number of benchmark problems available in literature. The results are presented in this paper which demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the code in complex geometries.
