MHP-PV/T is a novel PV/T with phase change heat transfer, uniform flow of working medium and good anti-freeze performance. The excellent year-round performance of MHP-PV/T has been demonstrated in previous studies and is more suitable for winter heating in northern China. In this work, we further combine MHP-PV/T with dual source heat pump to form an experimentally validated indirect expansion-solar assisted heat pump (IDX-SAHP) system and simulates the overall performance of the heating system in winter based on TRNSYS in Lanzhou, China. The component type50b of TRNSYS was modified to make it closer to the actual results of MHP-PV/T. Research shown that the thermal efficiency of MHP-PV/T heat pump system can be maintained well throughout the heating season at the SAHP/ASHP switching temperature is 7 ℃ in winter. The net system energy efficiency ratio (NSEER) during heating season is range from 3.28 to 5.42, which can achieve highly efficient and low cost heating. For this system, the photovoltaic power generation is sufficient to meet the operation of three water pumps. By connecting surplus electricity to the grid, a total of 1806.25 ¥ of electricity revenue can be obtained around the year. The PEUR of the system is 72.26 %, the DPP taking 5.133 years, and the annual CO2 emission reduction is 13486.5 kg. Significant energy, economic, and environmental benefits of the system. In this paper, novel state feedback and output feedback control strategies are proposed to regulate a class of uncertain time-varying nonholonomic systems with lower-triangular nonlinearities. The nonlinearities admit an incremental rate depending on an unknown parameter and an essential time-varying function. By means of the input-state-scaling technique, the involved systems are firstly transformed into a class of lower-triangular systems. The time-varying high-gain method is then introduced to tackle the system uncertainties and essential time-varying features simultaneously, and based on this, the time-varying state feedback controllers are constructed to achieve the state feedback regulation of the involved systems. Finally a time-varying high-gain observer is proposed to effectively compensate for system uncertainties and essential time-varying features, and on the basis of this, the time-varying output feedback controllers are constructed to achieve the output feedback regulation of the involved systems. Two illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategies. • Time-varying controllers are proposed to regulating uncertain nonholonomic systems. • The uncertainties in the considered nonholonomic systems are more essential. • The time-varying features can be allowed to be more serious than the existing works. • The high-gain method, rather than adaptive backstepping method is introduced here. The standard approaches of road traffic flow measurement as a part of advanced traffic management system relies on data acquisition from inductive loops or visual detectors. Due to their high cost and a number of operational limitations, this study was to elaborate a new concept of traffic flow estimation based on data from acoustic sensors. The experimental study has been conducted on a roadside of Paris ring-road (peripherique boulevard) during 11.5 days. The obtained data has been processed with help of Support Vector Regression method. The performances of the proposed solution have been assessed against standard traffic flow measurements. Obtained result show that this approach is promising and has potential of usage as independent measurement system and as auxiliary unit for existing systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Special-shaped concrete-filled steel tube (SCFST) columns have been extensively used in residential buildings owing to their excellent mechanical properties and architectural benefits. In this study, five groups of eccentric compression tests were conducted to study the mechanical properties of SCFST columns with respect to the axial force and bending moment around the centroidal principal axis, using the eccentric distance and eccentric direction as the parameters. ABAQUS software was used to construct finite element models. The model results fit well with the experimental results. Based on the experimental study and finite element simulation with reference to the standards of different countries, a formula for calculating the in-plane stability of SCFST columns under the axial force and bending moment around the centroidal principal axis was derived. To study the uniaxial eccentric compression properties of slender L-shaped column composed of concrete-filled steel tubes (CFST) connected by steel linking plates, a compression test on four L-shaped CFST columns with different eccentricities was designed in this study. The ultimate bearing capacity, ductility, and deformation capacity of the L-shaped CFST columns were obtained by analyzing the failure phenomenon, load–axial displacement curves, load-lateral deflection curves and load–strain curves. Experimental results were verified by ABAQUS finite element analysis software, and the N–M correlation curves of the L-shaped CFST columns were calculated by using a full-section plasticity method. The calculation formulas of eccentric compression ultimate bearing capacity of L-shaped CFST columns was proposed, which provided a reference for engineering design. • Four L-shaped CFST columns connected by steel linking plates subjected to uniaxial eccentric compression were tested. • FEA models were built for verifying the experimental results. • Full-section plasticity method was used to obtain N-M correlation curves. • Calculation formulas of eccentric compression ultimate bearing capacity of L-shaped CFST columns was proposed.
