Omadacycline and eravacycline are newly approved tetracycline analogues with excellent activity against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms; however, no data are available regarding Helicobacter pylori. The susceptibility of 201 clinical isolates of H. pylori collected in China to omadacycline, eravacycline, and the comparator tetracycline was determined by an agar dilution method. They showed greater activity than tetracycline. The MIC 50/90 values of omadacycline, eravacycline, and tetracycline were 0.125/0.25 μg/mL, 0.063/0.125 μg/mL, and 0.25/1 μg/mL, respectively. Omadacycline and eravacycline were potent in vitro against all the isolates tested, including tetracycline-resistant strains, and warrant further investigation as potential antibiotics for H. pylori treatment. • Omadacycline and eravacycline demonstrate enhanced in vitro activity against H. pylori than tetracycline. • Omadacycline and eravacycline may overcome the 16S rRNA mutations conferring tetracycline resistance in H. pylori. A polyoxometalate based composite material ( NiPW 12 NP/FrGO ) was synthesized successfully, in which the nanoparticle of a polyoxometalate compound ( NiPW 12 NP ) distributes on carboxylate group functionalized reduced graphene oxide ( FrGO ) homogenously. There exist intensive chemical bonds between NiPW 12 NP and FrGO , which guarantees the stability of this composite material. When employed as a cathode material, NiPW 12 NP/FrGO exhibits high specific capacitance, remarkable rate capability and long-term stability. When the current density is 4 A g −1 , a specific capacitance as high as 437.6 F g −1 is achieved by NiPW 12 NP/FrGO . With NiPW 12 NP/FrGO serving as cathode and MnO 2 acting as anode, a high performance asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) is assembled, which possesses a high energy density of 12.96 W h·kg −1 at 0.67 kW kg −1 . It also shows a good rate capability, when the current density increases from 4 to 12 A g −1 , its specific capacitances decreases from 115.2 to 90.9 F g −1 , with 78.9% capacitance retention. After 5000 cycles charge-discharge experiments, 94.3% of its capacitance can be maintained, which exhibits good stability. Furthermore, NiPW 12 NP/FrGO composite material also shows excellent tetracycline adsorption ability with capacity 288.28 mg g −1 , the adsorption can be well described with Temkin model, which suggests electrostatic attraction dominates the adsorption process. Pseudocapacitive iron oxide materials own high theoretical capacitance as desirable anode materials for electrochemical energy storage. The poor electrical conductivity and sluggish ion diffusion kinetics of iron oxides are the two main obstacles that hinder their practical application. In this work, a simple and fast electrodeposition method to fabricate composite film of polypyrrole (PPy) and hybrid iron oxide (FeO x) on a 3D exfoliated graphite (EG) current collector is demonstrated. The experimental results suggest that the valence state of Fe in FeO x decreases obviously during the concurrent electrodeposition, which effectively regulates the electronic transmission and formed heterostructured PPy-FeO x iron oxide. The hybrid iron oxide (Fe 2 O 3 and Fe 3 O 4) phase interface synergistically improves the pseudocapacitance of the composite film. The as-prepared PPy-FeO x composite film exhibits a high areal capacitance of 2.0 F cm−2 at 1 mA cm−2 and ultrahigh cycling stability (105.6% capacitance retention after 10 000 charge/discharge cycles). The assembled asymmetric capacitor (ASC) based on PPy-FeO x can deliver a volumetric energy density of 3.44 mWh cm−3 at a power density of 6.72 mW cm−3. This work offers a new strategy for the concurrent electrodeposition of conducting polymers and metal oxides with strong interactions, leading to great development in energy storage applications.
