In this paper, stagnation point flow over a permeable shrinking sheet under the influence of Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is analyzed using Successive linearization method. The governing equations are simplified with the help of similarity variables. The resulting nonlinear coupled differential equations have been solved with a combination of Successive linearization method and Chebyshev spectral collocation method. The impact of various pertinent parameters are demonstrated numerically and graphically. Comparison has also been made with the existing literature and found that the present results are in good agreement. It is also found that the present methodology converges more rapidly. Nanofluid forced convective heat transfer in a porous semi-annulus is studied in presence of uniform magnetic field. Various shapes of nanoparticles are considered. Brownian motion impact on viscosity of nanofluid is taken into account. Governing equations are presented in vorticity stream function formulation. Control volume based finite element method (CVFEM) is utilized to obtain the results. At first, the best shape of nanoparticles is selected and then influences of nanofluid volume fraction, Darcy, Reynolds and Hartmann numbers are presented. Results showed that velocity of nanofluid enhances with increase of Darcy and Reynolds numbers. Platelet shape has the highest rate of heat transfer. Nusselt number enhances with increase of nanofluid volume fraction, Darcy, and Reynolds number while it reduces with increase of Lorentz forces. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this article, impact of Coulomb force on nanofluid forced convective heat transfer is examined using Fe 3 O 4 -Ethylene glycol nanofluid. The bottom lid wall is considered as positive electrode. Control Volume based Finite Element Method is selected to obtain the outputs which are the roles of volume fraction of Fe 3 O 4 ( ϕ ) , Reynolds number ( Re ) and supplied voltage ( Δ φ ) . Nanofluid viscosity is considered as function of electric field according to previous experimental data. Results indicate that Coulomb force helps the convention mode so temperature gradient enhance by augment of supplied voltage. Temperature gradient over the positive electrode augments with augment of Re and Δ φ . Applying Coulomb force is more useful for low values of Reynolds number. In this article, heat transfer analysis on clot blood model of the particle-fluid suspension through a non-uniform annulus has been investigated. The blood propagating along the whole length of the annulus was induced by peristaltic motion. The effects of variable viscosity and slip condition are also taken into account. The governing flow problem is modeled using lubrication approach by taking the assumption of long wavelength and creeping flow regime. The resulting equation for fluid phase and particle phase is solved analytically and closed form solutions are obtained. The physical impact of all the emerging parameters is discussed mathematically and graphically. Particularly, we considered the effects of particle volume fraction, slip parameter, the maximum height of clot, viscosity parameter, average volume flow rate, Prandtl number, Eckert number and fluid parameter on temperature profile, pressure rise and friction forces for outer and inner tube. Numerical computations have been used to determine the behavior of pressure rise and friction along the whole length of the annulus. The present study is also presented for an endoscope as a special case of our study. It is observed that greater influence of clot tends to rise the pressure rise significantly. It is also found that temperature profile increases due to the enhancement in Prandtl number, Eckert number, and fluid parameter. The present study reveals that friction forces for outer tube have higher magnitude as compared to the friction forces for an inner tube. This work investigates the magnetic force and nonlinear thermal radiation on hybrid bio-nanofluid flow in a peristaltic channel under the influence of an applied magnetic field with high and low Reynolds number. Gold and copper nanoparticles are taken into account. Momentum, Maxwell, and heat with nonlinear thermal radiation and heat source think equations are considered in the dimensionless form without any approximation as a system of nonlinear partial differential equations. The expressions of velocity, induced magnetic field components, magnetic pressure, stream function, magnetic force, joule heating, shear stress, and Nusselt number have been obtained using the Adomian decomposition method. Influences of miscellaneous physical and biomedical parameters including moderate Reynolds, magnetic Reynolds, hybrid nanofluid volume fraction, Hartmann, dimensionless wavenumber, electric field stress, nonlinear thermal radiation, and internal heat generation absorption parameters on velocity, induced magnetic field components, magnetic pressure, normal component of the pressure gradient, heat distribution shear stress on the walls and Nusselt number are plotted and examined. During the investigation, it is found that the gold nanofluid has the highest velocity compared with hybrid, copper, and base fluid, while the hybrid nanofluid has a high magnetic force. In current numerical investigation, irreversibility and energy transportation related to free convection though a porous wavy chamber was scrutinized. One of the essential factors in design of unit is irreversibility which should be minimized. The inner wavy surface acts as heat element and chamber is filled with hybrid nanomaterial. New correlations, contours and profiles are main kinds of outputs which achieved by employing CVFEM. As Ra augments, the magnitude of ψ max enhances which indicates higher convective mode, and better cooling rate of inner wall happens. At lowest Ra and Nhs, Nu declines about 57.2% and Be augments about 2.75% with augmenting Lorentz force. Nu becomes 7.5 times greater with growth of Ra when other variables are minimum. Be reduces about 2.49% with rise of Nhs at Ra⁎ = 5, Ha = 20. Portion of thermal irreversibility augments with impose of stronger magnetic field. Growth of Ra leads to domination of convective mode and hence inner wall become colder. Reduction impact of Nhs on Nu become more stronger when buoyancy force augments. This paper numerically explores the effects of nonlinear density temperature, non-uniform heat source/sink on 3D Maxwell nanofluid flow over a stretching sheet.
